Thanks for the update, Kemberlee. On the way home from Wal-Mart this afternoon, I stopped at the ABC store. As ti pulled up, I told my wife, “I need a bottle of something to get me through the election coverage tonight.” I went in and bought a bottle of Yeagermeister, which is now chilling in the freezer. When I checked out, the cashier was a tall black man about my age and I told him why I was buying the bottle. He laughed and said, “When I get home I’m pouring myself a glass of “Jack” and listening to music – no way am I watching TV tonight”. We both agreed that this has been the craziest election in both our memories (he was 68) and we’re both sick of the commercials on TV. I asked him what kind of music he listened to and he said “Jazz and Big Bands” and mentioned Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington. At that point I had to tell him how “Count Basie” got his name. LOL! We must have talked for over five minutes. Ain’t no race problems where I live.

Commenters over at Ace say Florida, North Carolina and Ohio have been called for Trump on Twitter… Twitter? Not sure what that means, media projections or actual vote tallies?
Twitter and Buzzfeed are getting at least some of their results via Decision Desk HQ which was started by a blogger at Ace of Spades. They’re pretty accurate to be newcomers.
The big Dem precincts always come in late because they need to wait to see how many votes they need.

I like the Senate projections there, where they give a 65% chance for a Democrat to win when the only valid votes are for Democrats.

Depends on who’s map you look at there is one path that could lead to neither getting to 270 and that is if Trump wins NH and the rest of the states go to Hillary that would put him a 268 and her at 269, that is the only way it would happen now. I think we can safely say that he has AZ, so that is 11 + 264 = 275 and it’s over. Its 1 am I am gonna read a bit and get some sleep.

I see some liberal media outlets….I mean media outlets now consoling themselves with thoughts of a popular vote win for Hillary but an electoral loss. What Republican President last won an election with a complete sweep in congress?
According to Karl Rove tonight on FNC no GOP president has had both Houses from an election since 1928 which I think was Hoover.
As best I can tell that is correct.
EC vs Popular Vote is a stupid argument. Because if the Popular Vote determined the winner, both campaigns would have had entirely different play calls and the Popular Vote total would NOT be what it is tonight.
If it was popular vote, they would have people vote more often in heavy Democratic states.
For Dems the argument is fed almost entirely off of their stranglehold on CA and NYC electorate. Throw in some isolated areas like close in Philly and close in Detroit/Chicago and they are confident the popular vote will almost always work in their favor. A GOP candidate would have to really dominate in TX, FL, and a few others and the more sparsely populated suburban/rural areas to every have a chance. Even in Obama’s big victories, when you look at nationwide county maps the red area is massive by comparison to blue. But the blue counties are urban and dense.
But they have also managed the EC well. That is, until now.

Penn is razor thin, Trump up by about 2400 votes just shy of 96% in. Looks like they are manufacturing some votes for shrillary.

Well, I have to admit that I was wrong when I thought nominating Trump was just handing the election to Clinton. Even this morning, I thought Clinton would be elected, wikileaks and the FBI probe notwithstanding.
When he got the nomination, I thought the candidates were just two sides of the same coin. The campaign season revealed her actions vs his words, though.
I still don’t like him, and am concerned about how he will govern. I think this may be the first true “lesser of two evils” election I’ve seen.
I was wrong as well. C’est la vie. I also predicted that if he were elected, he’d make an awful President. Here’s hoping I was wrong about that too.

It seems a solid enough win … but I’d predicted a landslide. Well, shows what I know …
Projections are that he will recieve 300+ electoral votes. In this day and age that is a landslide.
I read an article that this is the worst Electoral College performance by a democrats in the past 7 elections, so Landslide may be a very good term.
Now on to crushing the Clintoon foundation and using the blood and guts of their administrators to grease our tank treads.
I watched 5 network TV programs tonight to see how the election was being treated by all. It wasn’t really a shocker but it was revealing. abc, cbs, nbc, cnn and FNC all started out pretty much the same and as the night went on all but FNC started to speak out loud about how hillary could win. cnn went so far as to recount the three big states of MI, WI, and PA over and over trying to figure out where she could find the votes she needed to win. Then when it became obvious that there weren’t enough outstanding votes they became mean. They said Trump would not be generous in his victory speech and that he was so inexperienced that the country was in peril. They still called him a misogynist and a racist and could not figure out who voted for him. I see no honeymoon for Trump from the msm and I hope he doesn’t expect one. My hope is that Trump will make the first gesture toward all of the disaffected Republicans and then take the first step toward the Demorats. After that, the ball is in their courts and it is up to them to respond. One last thing, the SCOTUS is saved! God bless America!
Just one problem. I can see Mitch McConnell moving to confirm Garland as a “gesture of gratitude” towards Obama.
Now Ted Cruz will really be tested because he can stop it until the Senate adjourns.
I expect one of the first things Trump will do is name Diane Sykes to the SCOTUS.
She seems pro second amendment so might be a good appointment.
Remember – the MEDIA was not wrong throughout this election. They were LYING. There is an important difference.

It’s also well worth noting that the republicans gained 3 governorships (MO, VT, NH) giving them 33 statehouses.

I now expect:
1. The MSM will continue their campaign to find fault with everything Trump even thinks about doing. Actions Obama did on a daily basis with no concern from the media will now become Earth shattering events of the most incredibly major and negative impact according to the MSM.
2. All the Herculean efforts that have been made over the last eight years to make the American economy look great will cease and the opposite will now occur. Inflation will suddenly spike upwards, GDP will plummet, unemployment will skyrocket, and so forth and all of it will be blamed on Trump.
3. Trump will fire every leader of most every in federal government agency Washington. Loretta Lynch will be replaced with an Attorney General who will seat a grand jury to investigate The Clinton Foundation, Clinton’s email debacle, and so forth. Koskinen will be investigated for corruption as will McCarthy at the EPA and many others for Trump will understand that until people start going to jail the corruption will never go away.
The first thing Fox did was to bring up Wollman Rink in Manhattan. See, he did a great job… there is hope…
