Thanks for the update, Kemberlee. On the way home from Wal-Mart this afternoon, I stopped at the ABC store. As ti pulled up, I told my wife, “I need a bottle of something to get me through the election coverage tonight.” I went in and bought a bottle of Yeagermeister, which is now chilling in the freezer. When I checked out, the cashier was a tall black man about my age and I told him why I was buying the bottle. He laughed and said, “When I get home I’m pouring myself a glass of “Jack” and listening to music – no way am I watching TV tonight”. We both agreed that this has been the craziest election in both our memories (he was 68) and we’re both sick of the commercials on TV. I asked him what kind of music he listened to and he said “Jazz and Big Bands” and mentioned Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington. At that point I had to tell him how “Count Basie” got his name. LOL! We must have talked for over five minutes. Ain’t no race problems where I live.

Drudge is saying Georgia is 63-35 for Trump.

Commenters over at Ace say Florida, North Carolina and Ohio have been called for Trump on Twitter… Twitter? Not sure what that means, media projections or actual vote tallies?

The Packetman in reply to Fen. | November 8, 2016 at 10:06 pm

Twitter and Buzzfeed are getting at least some of their results via Decision Desk HQ which was started by a blogger at Ace of Spades. They’re pretty accurate to be newcomers.

Humphrey's Executor | November 8, 2016 at 9:18 pm

The big Dem precincts always come in late because they need to wait to see how many votes they need.

I am following in google.
So far, it looks good for trump.

yah, WMAL radio just said NC with 75% in has Trump up by ONE VOTE.

So ignore my twitter related post upthread.

ABC reports VA with 85% of the vote in, Trump ahead 49% to 48%

Not enough to beat Dem vote fraud.

first time poster here (been coming to LI since the Zimmerman trial)
it doesn’t look good for Trump
he’s only barely up in many of these states (1-3%) and those big city districts are only barely counted
those will shift to Hillary as the night goes on

what I’m trying to wrap my head around is supposedly 50 million people early voted this year – where the hell did all those votes go?

holy shit – Trump has Florida and Ohio
he’s got a chance here!!!

I am keeping my own count.
I don’t trust the media. Duh!

If the current trend holds, Trump will get at least 286.

Just looked at the CNN home page… top headline is that Clinton is projected to win California.

Sign of desperation that they have to emphasize that?

RodFC in reply to malclave. | November 8, 2016 at 11:22 pm

They call Cali with 0% of the vote counted but not Florida with 99% of the vote counted and the remained not enough to make up the difference.

i’m listening to the Young Turks atm (one of my favorite liberal outlets)
they are in total meltdown mode

I feel like Mr. Johnson ( the secretary ) at around 8:15.

So, the NYC fireworks purchase and show were cancelled. Anyone else wish they could see the fireworks display going on in her suite right now?

Wikileaks. Has to have been the weeks long drip, drip, drip penetrated the public consciousness somewhat.

The stock market thinks that Mr. Trump is going to pull this off.
– Dow futures down 700+ points for tomorrow.
– Mexican peso is down 10% in currency trading. Somebody (likely Soros) is making a KILLING with shorting it.

casualobserver | November 8, 2016 at 11:37 pm

If I were Comey I would invest in a top notch security firm to stand 24 hour guard on me and everyone I hold dear. If (when?) Hillary loses, the progressive mob will be looking for blame and scalps. And his is the most recent one.

conservative tarheel | November 8, 2016 at 11:47 pm

I am oh so happy that NC went for Trump …
Burr is going back to the Senate …
gotta check and see what happened in the Govenor race.

A good night for America. Not done, but I’m confident President Trump will finish the night off.

The crying of the left wing, priceless.

Holy crap — Wisconsin.

I finally believe. That, and the dejected faces at CNN beginning the Bargaining stage of Grief.

Yah, my internet feed keeps crapping out, and I don’t want a repeat of the Gore Team who jinxed themselves by celebrating at 2pm on election day but…

My understanding is WORSE case scenario for Trump now is 269 EC votes throwing it to the house

And that if Wisconsin goes as its trending, then he wins?

Barry in reply to Fen. | November 9, 2016 at 12:07 am

No tie. Just a rout now.

The wicked witch is politically dead and going to jail.

    Gremlin1974 in reply to Fen. | November 9, 2016 at 2:02 am

Depends on who’s map you look at there is one path that could lead to neither getting to 270 and that is if Trump wins NH and the rest of the states go to Hillary that would put him a 268 and her at 269, that is the only way it would happen now. I think we can safely say that he has AZ, so that is 11 + 264 = 275 and it’s over. Its 1 am I am gonna read a bit and get some sleep.

Virtual tie in Penn now. Votes coming in are from Trump rich area’s. Penn and Michigan and the trumpslide is on.

casualobserver | November 9, 2016 at 12:08 am

I see some liberal media outlets….I mean media outlets now consoling themselves with thoughts of a popular vote win for Hillary but an electoral loss. No doubt they are trying to gin up controversy and a fight to get more traffic/readers. And to give the mob something to focus their anger and hate on.

Looks like we will end up losing one senate seat. One.

A handful of seats in the house.

What Republican President last won an election with a complete sweep in congress?

EC vs Popular Vote is a stupid argument. Because if the Popular Vote determined the winner, both campaigns would have had entirely different play calls and the Popular Vote total would NOT be what it is tonight.

Neo in reply to Fen. | November 9, 2016 at 12:30 am

If it was popular vote, they would have people vote more often in heavy Democratic states.

casualobserver in reply to Fen. | November 9, 2016 at 12:38 am

For Dems the argument is fed almost entirely off of their stranglehold on CA and NYC electorate. Throw in some isolated areas like close in Philly and close in Detroit/Chicago and they are confident the popular vote will almost always work in their favor. A GOP candidate would have to really dominate in TX, FL, and a few others and the more sparsely populated suburban/rural areas to every have a chance. Even in Obama’s big victories, when you look at nationwide county maps the red area is massive by comparison to blue. But the blue counties are urban and dense.

But they have also managed the EC well. That is, until now.

Trump and Toomey still ahead in Pennsylvania

Barry in reply to Neo. | November 9, 2016 at 12:33 am

Penn is razor thin, Trump up by about 2400 votes just shy of 96% in. Looks like they are manufacturing some votes for shrillary.

Megyn Kelly looks like she’s about to cry. I’m sorry, but there are some people I’m happy to see get beat.

Sorry but I am paranoid.

Someone convince me it’s over, because I don’t see it yet.

K, I’m hearing he’s topped out at 268

Needs Michigan or Penn, or New Hampshire and Maine.

True?

I am most happy that MSM wins the award for the biggest loser tonight.

Who’s going to start the betting pool for when the current POTUS starts handing out preemptive pardons? I’ll take 12 DEC.

And for the safety of those around her, I pray the Secret Service is keeping her away from anything that can be picked up and thrown.

Drudge is call Penn for Trump

Please, PLEASE appoint Rudy Guliani to be Attorney General!

Decision desk calls Penn for Trump. If that holds up it’s all over for the wicked witch.

Wow. Just wow.

Staying up to see Clinton’s concession.

NYTs just called Penn for Trump. 99% reporting, +80k votes

casualobserver | November 9, 2016 at 1:53 am

I am now seeing estimates from 286 to 305 electoral votes for Trump based on PA and AZ going for him and other states maybe not being decided until later today.

John Podesta comes out and tells us that Hillary is sleeping, so she’ll come out and concede tomorrow 🙂

Exiliado in reply to jhkrischel. | November 9, 2016 at 2:09 am

    Sweet, sweet irony.

    Gremlin1974 in reply to jhkrischel. | November 9, 2016 at 2:17 am

Sleeping? Try Sedated! I have this image of her laying on a couch with one of those plastic barbie crowns on wacked out of her gord and her staff arguing over who is gonna tell her she lost. Bill will already be with whoever he is sleeping with tonight.

LMAO, how bad is it? Buzzfeed is asking if a state may actually secede because Trump won, ROFLMAO. I think Trump will be a meh president and I don’t and didn’t support him, but still Buzzfeed, seriously?

No, Podesta said they would come out and say more tomorrow.

Sounds like Hillary is not going to accept the results of the election. Likely going to court over voter “suppression” or float propaganda that the Russians hacked the votes.

RCP is also showing PA for President Trump (277). They show Trump + 2% in MI (16) with 94% reporting. Looks a good night for freedom.

NYTs Opinion writers disgracing themselves. They STILL don’t get why Trump is winning. They are so out of touch with America that they should resign.

Watching NBC news right now.
They’re still refusing to call PA.

OMG, this is to funny, from 1:15 am to 1:22 am there are like 10 articles talking about, what if Trump doesn’t accept the results? Like he is losing? Yea the media isn’t bias at all!

Odd. NYTs just stealth edited Penn from 99% to 89% reporting, still called for Trump with +76K

Fox has not yet made the call.

What worries me now is that Obama will declare one of Hillary’s pantsuits a National Park.

It’s going to take a long time to expunge America’s severe Clinton fatigue.

Now they put it back to 99%. Weird.

Fox is reporting that the Canadian gov’t immigration web site has experienced repeated crashes as Trump’s lead grew.

Well, I have to admit that I was wrong when I thought nominating Trump was just handing the election to Clinton. Even this morning, I thought Clinton would be elected, wikileaks and the FBI probe notwithstanding.

When he got the nomination, I thought the candidates were just two sides of the same coin. The campaign season revealed her actions vs his words, though.

I still don’t like him, and am concerned about how he will govern. I think this may be the first true “lesser of two evils” election I’ve seen.

The witch conceded.
By phone.

Or so they say.

WMAL radio says they have UNOFFICIAL word via CNN that Hillary has called Trump to concede election

The absolutely impossible has happened!

All I am going to say right now is god bless Donald Trump.
And god bless America.

BREAKING NEWS: TRUMP WINS PRESIDENCY, FOX NEWS PROJECTS!

Fox calls PA for President Trump.

OMG the Left on twitter is unbelievable. No shame, no consistency of principle.

It seems a solid enough win … but I’d predicted a landslide. Well, shows what I know …

RodFC in reply to tom swift. | November 9, 2016 at 3:29 am

Projections are that he will recieve 300+ electoral votes. In this day and age that is a landslide.

Gremlin1974 in reply to tom swift. | November 9, 2016 at 3:28 pm

I read an article that this is the worst Electoral College performance by a democrats in the past 7 elections, so Landslide may be a very good term.

Now on to crushing the Clintoon foundation and using the blood and guts of their administrators to grease our tank treads.

I watched 5 network TV programs tonight to see how the election was being treated by all. It wasn’t really a shocker but it was revealing. abc, cbs, nbc, cnn and FNC all started out pretty much the same and as the night went on all but FNC started to speak out loud about how hillary could win. cnn went so far as to recount the three big states of MI, WI, and PA over and over trying to figure out where she could find the votes she needed to win. Then when it became obvious that there weren’t enough outstanding votes they became mean. They said Trump would not be generous in his victory speech and that he was so inexperienced that the country was in peril. They still called him a misogynist and a racist and could not figure out who voted for him. I see no honeymoon for Trump from the msm and I hope he doesn’t expect one. My hope is that Trump will make the first gesture toward all of the disaffected Republicans and then take the first step toward the Demorats. After that, the ball is in their courts and it is up to them to respond. One last thing, the SCOTUS is saved! God bless America!

Just one problem. I can see Mitch McConnell moving to confirm Garland as a “gesture of gratitude” towards Obama.

Now Ted Cruz will really be tested because he can stop it until the Senate adjourns.

I expect one of the first things Trump will do is name Diane Sykes to the SCOTUS.

MattMusson in reply to inspectorudy. | November 9, 2016 at 8:23 am

Remember – the MEDIA was not wrong throughout this election. They were LYING. There is an important difference.

    Don’t trust them ever again.

It’s also well worth noting that the republicans gained 3 governorships (MO, VT, NH) giving them 33 statehouses.

I now expect:
1. The MSM will continue their campaign to find fault with everything Trump even thinks about doing. Actions Obama did on a daily basis with no concern from the media will now become Earth shattering events of the most incredibly major and negative impact according to the MSM.
2. All the Herculean efforts that have been made over the last eight years to make the American economy look great will cease and the opposite will now occur. Inflation will suddenly spike upwards, GDP will plummet, unemployment will skyrocket, and so forth and all of it will be blamed on Trump.
3. Trump will fire every leader of most every in federal government agency Washington. Loretta Lynch will be replaced with an Attorney General who will seat a grand jury to investigate The Clinton Foundation, Clinton’s email debacle, and so forth. Koskinen will be investigated for corruption as will McCarthy at the EPA and many others for Trump will understand that until people start going to jail the corruption will never go away.

amwick in reply to Cleetus. | November 9, 2016 at 8:22 am

The first thing Fox did was to bring up Wollman Rink in Manhattan. See, he did a great job… there is hope…

The ultimate Trump Train Wreck. And the victory speech was wonderful.

I still have my doubts about Trump as President, however, I do feel a great sense of relief that Hillary will now never be president.

hahaha… with bernie sanders the dems might of had a chance to win the presidency… but they didn’t like that he wasn’t owned fully by the corportists… so in their greed they went with hillary.

and just as I predicted…. Hillary had no chance against Trump. ….ah… I love seeing the libtards totally crushed…

the bernie supporters at the last minute in Pennsylvania switched to trump instead of jill because they hated clinton so much…. the democrats really screwed their base over, and in turn got screwed over so badly… that I think most of the millennials/dem voters have probably left the democrat party permanently and won’t vote for an establishment dem ever again. *LOL*

Now you all know the POWER of the Trump train…
….unstoppable and unbeatable POWWWWWWWWWWWWWWA!
The democrats really got screwed in this election…
…..the power is at an all time low… and it will remain that way probably for a few decades. Mwahahahahaha

and hillary’s woes and troubles have just began…
they’ll hold off that investigation of the clinton foundation
until after 0bama leaves ….so he has no chance to pardon her… …and then she will probably end up in gitmo/waterboarded or given a death sentence…

that is… unless she flee’s the USA first. *LOL* which would be even more hilarious to see.
