The Skinny: Florida and Arizona Primary Roundup
Winners and losers
Florida and Arizona held their down-ballot primary elections yesterday.
Lots of races, but here are the highlights:
Florida:
Marco Rubio and Patrick Murphy won their respective senate primaries and will face off in November. Murphy ousted Allen West in 2012 and has served in the House since. Both candidates won without a challenge from any viable contender.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz lived to play another day.
Long-time candidate and former Secret Service Agent, Dan Bongino, lost his third election in as many cycles.
Meanwhile, Alan Grayson and his wife were defeated in their primaries. As did the recently indicted “Go Gata” Corinne Brown.
Arizona:
Big news from the desert? John McCain won his primary handily, leading challenger Kelli Ward by almost 20 points. McCain will duke it out with Ann Kirkpatrick in the general election.

Surprise, surprise!
Incumbents win.
The GOPe remains quite NOT-blown up, having been endorsed by Mr. Establishment.
Well Alan Grayson went down to defeat rather decisively and that’s a good thing.
I like Dan Bongino and being from MD voted for him twice. I wonder though, where will he move to next to be elected? We had another Republican here in western MD who won state office but twice lost in the Congressional race. He moved to WVa and won there so there’s always hope.
With these election results, tell me my pessimism isn’t justified, at least to some degree.
One vote for Kirkpatrick here.
To the down-voter: I’d rather vote for an honest Democrat than a dishonest Democrat pretending to be a Republican. He’s a fraud & should go home. “Build the dang fence,” my ass. I voted for him in every previous election but no more.
There’s a Hispanic immigration lawyer who haunts the AZ GOP Facebook page pimping for McCain. He’ll be ecstatic today. Business will continue uninterrupted. Kirkpatrick is so stupid she can’t make change but she’ll beat the cadaver. Amazingly, in a convulsion of good sense, Arpaio made it.
McCain is a major disappointment, but then the last few weeks he kept running ads with Trumps endorsement over and over. That’s sort of the old Rush position. “They won but they did so by embracing our values.”
Not only did Grayson lose, but he vacated his seat to run and his wife lost in her bid to take the seat.
I never figured much for Schultz. Before the convention it was a safe seat and there was little time for a contender to gain momentum. It makes no difference because at this point she is dead weight, totally disgraced. She “can do noothhhhhhiiiiiinnnggggg”.
Rubio literally ran to Trump, well walked very quickly. Also he is probably the only one who had a real chance to beat Murphy. I figure he has butter balls and was enticed by the GOPe. He could be a credit, if he grows a real pair. We shall see.
While Bongino was wothwhile, he was endorsed by Cruz. The curse continues. ( In retrospect ) Thank God Cruz did not endorse Trump.
In her rush to put a doom and gloom face on the elections KK missed the one really happy piece of news. Angie lost Please don’t let the door hit her fatg ass on the way out. It might break. I wonder what Bernie ( De La Rionda ) is going to do for work.
