As Katrina “spilled the beans” on Heidi, Trump supporters spread rumors about Katrina

Remember when Donald Trump threatened to “spill the beans” on Heidi Cruz?

Yesterday Katrina Pierson, Trump’s campaign spokesman, “spilled the beans” in an interview.

Ironically, as Katrina was spilling the beans on Heidi, Trump SUPPORTERS were spreading wild rumors about Katrina and Ted Cruz (which she denies).

Katrina tweeted yesterday about the rumors with an apparent lack of self awareness that the rumors were published by a magazine that has endorsed Trump, and were being spread by supporters of Trump:

In cults of personality, even the most loyal get betrayed.

So what were the “beans” Trump threatened to spill?

The Hill reports:

“Spilling the beans is quite simple when it comes to Heidi Cruz,” Pierson said in an interview with MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki.”She is a Bush operative; she worked for the architect of NAFTA, which has killed millions of jobs in this country; she was a member on the Council on Foreign Relations who — in Sen. Cruz’s own words, called a nest of snakes that seeks to undermine national sovereignty; and she’s been working for Goldman Sachs, the same global bank that Ted Cruz left off of his financial disclosure,” Pierson said.”Her entire career has been spent working against everything Ted Cruz says that he stands for,” she added.Cruz spokeswoman Alice Stewart responded to the remarks in a statement to The Hill, saying, “There’s no low the Trump campaign won’t go.”

Seriously, that’s all you got? None of that is new. Trump supporters have been attacking Heidi on that for weeks, long before the photo of Melania Trump in mailers in Utah.

The only thing they don’t attack her on is her, ahem, secret visits to Area 51.

Compared to what Trump SUPPORTERS were saying about Katrina, tame stuff.

More important, Trump supporters are increasingly focused on Heidi — that will not end well for a candidate who is deeply underwater with female voters in numerous recent polls:

Yet Trump cheerleaders keep trying to convince themselves that increasing the attacks on Heidi, including making fun of her looks, is the way to go.

Talk about living in a bubble. Trump can beat up on Megyn Kelly’s menstrual cycle, Carly Fiorina’s face, and Heidi Cruz’s worst photo ever, and his supporters will cheer.

Pure delusion.
