EPA Warning: Sunny days bad for plants

EPA Warning: Sunny days bad for plants

BONUS QUESTION: How long before EPA seeks to regulate sunshine?

When I saw this tweet earlier today (via @JWBritton), I was like WUT!?

Spoof account? Nope, verified.

True blue EPA:

The link in the tweet goes to a page that doesn’t exist.

This qualifies for our Progressive or Parody category.

You know which way I’m voting.

They already declared carbon dioxide a poison. The world is apparently a very dangerous place for plants.

Think sunny days are good for plants? Not always.

Not always? Rain is not always good for plants…except when it is.

Get back to me when there’s a real problem.

Known, undeniable fact: Stupid knows no limits.

Y’all guys and gals have to go there read what people have posted in response to EPA’s idiocy.
Hilarious.

Certain trees are major contributers to air-borne hydrocarbons.

I’m sure they cause ozone production, too. Damned, damned trees…!!!

Killers…!!! The (wood) lot of them…!!!

Funny how corn, tomatoes, beans, kale, and grapes seem to (dare I say) thrive in sunshine…

As my daddy used to say, “Never ascribe to malice actions that can be explained by sheer stupidity.” I live out west and wonder from time to time where the EPA is when all those poor desert plants are turned under and then forever shaded by acres and acres of mirrors producing “clean” energy. Now I know why. The plants are too stupid to understand that growing in direct sunshine is bad for them. All hail the EPA!!

They have lost their damned minds.

Control sunlight?

Why not? They’ve declared what people exhale a “pollutant” and have been trying (and trying, and trying) to regulate and control water (well, rainwater) by declaring it is a “pollutant” for a while now…..

Why not sunlight, too? Air, water, sun – isn’t that what we all need to live?!

(Hint: that’s their whole agenda – power and control.)

I live in San Diego. The sunlight here is intense, every day. I am a gardener, and I have raised all kinds of plants in in the Washington, DC area and in Texas. I have learned that most plants that are classified as “full sun” need a little shade, here.

Nevertheless, if you harden them off, and see to it that they get adequate water, those plants will grow to such a size and luxuriousness, you would think it is a different plant. Examples include rosemary, bougainvillea, fuchsia, roses, iris, rhododendron, lilies and many kinds of succulents. Some days, I even get mushrooms, in full sun.

So don’t tell me sunny days are bad. Sunny days can kill, but only if you don’t know what you are doing: with the right care, they can transform a plant.

The EPA is FOS.

    TX-rifraph in reply to Valerie. | September 30, 2015 at 7:11 am

The EPA is FOS because they are overflowing with money and authority. They were created when the states did not have their own “EPAs. The actions by the EPA are obvious signals that the EPA needs to be euthanized as they no longer have any useful purpose.

Finally, the solution to all our problems.

Have NASA build some rockets to send our best and brightest climate change propheteers and EPA pinch faces to ARREST THE SUN!!!

The charges will be endangering the climate and promoting wasteful energy usage through out the solar system.

They can operate off Mercury.

They can’t operate off Mercury. Everyone knows Mercury is poisonous and will kill you. They’ll have to post “Do Not Enter” signs all around Mercury, in every language known to man, plus Klingon to satisfy the EEOC and SHE’s, and operate off Venus.

SJWs, stupid autocorrect.

Here comes the Sun…

The sun produces Vitamin D which among other things helps protect against cancer. Vitmain D lowers the risk of death caused by cancer such as breast and prostate cancer.

Now to the EPA’s new shiny object, the object of their twisted Heliocentric Global Ozoning, Mr. Sun.

Chlorophyll:
“Chlorophyll is actually responsible for the green pigmentation in plants. What does chlorophyll do? Chlorophyll is what absorbs energy from the sun to facilitate photosynthesis in plants. Chlorophyll to plants is like blood to humans. It is important in many plant metabolic functions such as growth and respiration.
Interestingly, chlorophyll is chemically similar in composition to that of human blood, except that the central atom in chlorophyll is magnesium, while iron is central in human blood. This, and the fact that chlorophyll is central in plan metabolism, had prompted scientists to find out if chlorophyll can offer similar benefits to humans. A number of chlorophyll researches have been focused on finding out the potential chlorophyll health benefits in humans.”
The above quote and health benefits can be found here:

The EPA’s tweet is so myopic it can’t see the forest for its encylicals.

While Nature abhors a vacuous-headed EPA, Americans would love an emptied EPA.

This is like the obsession with drugging boys so they won’t act like boys.

Leftists just hate it when Nature is natural.

If the EPA continues to spread this amount of fertilizer, the plants will do well even in an Ozone rich environment.

My congressman, Lamar Smith, issues press releases, holds hearings, asks public questions, and then as Chairman of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee, provides the EPA with the funds and the laws they need to produce this crap. He is a ineffective eGOP eunuch. Watch, he will do nothing but makes a little noise. And we pay for Congress and the EPA.

The Friendly Grizzly | September 30, 2015 at 11:29 am

Heaven help us when the EPA discovers dihydrogen monoxide.

It appears that there is some sort of strange viral infection affecting more than a few in DC. which causes the brain to disintegrate. We really need to shutter some of the departments and require congress to stay in their districts a large portion of every year. They need help!

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone , only darkness every day! Let’s all nominate the one we want to go away

Hillary

Go ahead and make fun of the EPA, but the fact is that every serial killer on record spent at least some time in the sun. Every Nazi, too. And every lawyer, I might add. It’s 2015 and with modern political science correlation IS causation. So, who’s laughing now?
