Trey Gowdy: Huge gaps in emails Hillary turned over

“It strains credibility”

Trey Gowdy appeared on Face the Nation today and explained that the emails Hillary has turned over paint an incomplete picture.

Katherine Connell of National Review:

Gowdy: ‘There Are Huge Gaps’ in E-mails Clinton’s Turned Over to Benghazi Committee

Representative Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.), chairman of the House committee investigating the 2012 Benghazi attack, said that there are “gaps of months and months and months” in the e-mails that former secretary of state Hillary Clinton has handed over to the committee so far.

Gowdy, who has issued a subpoena to the State Department seeking Clinton’s remaining e-mails, told Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation Sunday that “there are huge gaps” in the e-mails she has made available.

“If you think to that iconic picture of her on a C-17 flying to Libya, sunglasses on — she has her hand-held device in her hand — we have no e-mails from that day,” he said. “In fact we have no e-mails from that trip.”

    It strains EVERYTHING…

“In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.”
    —Theodore Dalrymple

What better description of the Mushroom Media than “A society of emasculated liars”…???

You know how you spot aircraft on a clear, moonless night?

You look for “holes in the sky”. Places where the stars are NOT.

Gaps are another of those “badges of fraud” we look for. And Gowdy is a very seasoned, successful prosecutor.

Hmmmm….. What is this all about?

    “Huma Abedin: Clinton’s Unindicted Email Co-Conspirator –
Scandal: The email plot thickens with news that Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff also used a private email account on the Clintons’ server to conduct government business.

Yep. You’ll find that I put that on the Tip Line, hoping for the Prof. or his able contributors to elaborate.

It doesn’t just stink. It knocks you down with it overpowering stench of corruption.

Remember Obama has done virtually the same thing.
Upon “taking” office in 2009, Obama refused to give up his personal cell phone – refusing to use the “secured” FBI provided cell phone.

Don’t you know enemies of the U.S. have hacked that like a “Hackleberry!”

Not to quibble but the Secret Service did end up “hardening” that Blackberry in exchange for something which I don’t remember what. A better question is why he needed that unit rather than another one.

And nobody has ever asked why he’s on the golf course so much. I’m pretty sure that neither of his two autobiographies said anything about him having a golfing jones. And if golf is really his newly discovered hobby, why? Because a golf course is the easiest pretext trip where he can be sure he’s beyond the range of a parabolic microphone or a wireless snooper while he talks to whoever on that Blackberry. Funny that he just mentioned that Blackberry the other day as he was defending Hillary’s personal email server. It seemed artificial to me even though he delivered it smoothly.

And we have pundits asking “But did she send any confidential emails on her personal email?” As if it’s all OK if she didn’t. Well duh, did she serve as Sec State for three years and NOT ever send any confidential emails?

And we have our POTUS claiming, once again, that he learned of this situation from the press. Really? Over a period of three years he never received email from or sent email to Hillary? He never knew what her email address was?

The lies are so bald faced and so brazen, I just can’t believe they’re getting away with this crap. It makes me want to puke.

Whenever I hear obama say he heard about an issue on the news — mentally I hear Sgt. Schultz claiming, ” know nothink, NOTHINK!!!”

Why, it almost takes a willing suspension of disbelief….doesn’t it?

Hillary better call Saul.

What Difference Does it Make?

TotallyPeeved | March 8, 2015 at 6:57 pm

STFU, trey. Your hot air theater fools no one. You and the rest of the r wing of the commie party can go straight to hades.

who is the guy in back of Hillary trying to read what is on Hillary’s phone? Is it nude Chelsea pic or benghazi email ?

He is showing such interest that it must be one or the other.

Also, why is hillary wearing sunglasses on airplane? I can’t read my phone even in daylight with sunglasses on.

Obviously we paid Hillary big bucks for six years to play Enraged Avians on her phone…

The current narrative, as you might guess, is that no crime was broken and who cares anyway.

Kevin Williamson was right. The Clintons are “…penicillin-resistant syphilis of American politics”. What is worse is that there are millions of people who apparently love the idea of catching syphilis. Must be the madness that attracts them.

Is Gowdy compromised because R leadership was “in on” the Benghazi deal(s)? What have we learned, what results is the Benghazi committee getting? Doubtful ‘the world’ will every get Shrillary’s emails. Ever.

McCarthy points out Gowdy has known about the ‘personal email’ thing for awhile: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/415046/benghazi-committees-belated-interest-hillarys-hidden-e-mails-andrew-c-mccarthy

Bruce Hayden in reply to LisaGinNZ. | March 8, 2015 at 11:55 pm

He may have had real reasons to not make that information public at the time. One of the things that some of these Republican chairs have done is give the targets of their investigations enough rope to hang themselves. And, that means that they know more, earlier, than their targets expect.

What are you expecting, Gowdy to lead a SWAT raid on Hillary’s personal residence?

Real investigations do not go straight for the top. They work their way up from the bottom and devour information from sources easier to secure. And besides, how can he even know the emails still exist? Do you?

I cut Gowdy more slack for two reasons. One, he was a real prosecutor before joining Congress. Two, he’s all we have, so why snipe? We don’t need to live down to Democratic party fantasies about this being a purely political witch hunt and attempted decapitation strike. We want and need the truth. That’s not a quick and easy thing.

Bruce Hayden | March 8, 2015 at 11:51 pm

Well, it is possible that she isn’t checking her email in that photo. But what do you think the odds are of that? It is either email, text messages, or maybe twitter and the like. But, my guess, given her age, is email.

CaliforniaJimbo | March 9, 2015 at 9:46 am

She’s using a blackberry. You know that email servers connected to blackberry have their emails also on the blackberry enterprise servers….. Time to subpoena Blackberry…

headers I got back from her email server (I purposely created a mail I knew would get bounced) shows not only is it exchange 2010 service pack 3 but its on update rollup 7 (the id 14.2.347.0 number shows rollup status) while current security update rollup is 9 for 2010 sp3.

Media: months and months of gaps in Hillary Clinton’s email records no biggie. A simple 17 minute gap in Richard Nixon’s taping system: constitutional crisis

1st term: Darrell Issa will get to the bottom of all these scandals, you watch, Darrell’s gonna get ’em.

2nd term: Trey Gowdy will get to the bottom of all these scandals, you watch, Trey’s gonna get ’em.

I loves me some Trey Gowdy, but unless strong words turn into strong action, he’s just another toothless barking shill for Boehner, et al.

Ragspierre in reply to Henry Hawkins. | March 9, 2015 at 4:16 pm

I get your frustration, but what do you suggest, HH?

Congress is not a law enforcement agency. The one(s) we have are thoroughly corrupt, and under control of the ObamaBanana Republic.

Holder COULD be…SHOULD be…impeached. As should be his boss.

Henry Hawkins in reply to Ragspierre. | March 9, 2015 at 10:47 pm

We voted in people who said they could and would get after it, but they do not, can not, or will not, who knows. It is not necessary for me to know how to do it in order to complain. That’s why we hired and pay these people. I don’t know how do rocket surgery or brain science either.

Subpeona these bastards till the cows come home, keep shaking that tree till the nuts fall out.

I just get this nagging suspicion that Issa and now Gowdy each had enough to really take down some folks who sorely deserved it, but were held in check by the don’t rock the boat, somebody might not like us crew at the top of the GOP.

platypus in reply to Henry Hawkins. | March 10, 2015 at 2:10 am

You’re right, as usual, but you overlook one point: there can be (and is) more than one reason not to rock the boat. There’s the one you stated which is pessimistic but we’ll let that slide. But what about the likelihood that Trey Gowdy’s security clearance allows him to see other information tangentially connected to this that could be damaging to our country if he rocked the boat before a certain time?

BTW, why did Ghaddafi have to go since he was doing everything GWB told him to do to help us? He was a bought-and-beholden agent for all things US yet somehow he needed to be taken out for things that happened before Bush flipped him.

Could it be, as some of my tinfoil hat friends have suggested, that he wanted to sell his oil for gold instead of fiat fed crap (dollars)? Looks like that might have something to do with the gingerly pace of justice.
