Very nice vanishing point…

At least the pilot and passengers didn’t know the co-pilot was a dangerous, narcissistic lunatic when they let him take control of the plane and their fate.

Which is more than we can say for millions of Obama voters.

A perfect metaphor! Thanks!

Sorry, but I just don’t think this cartoon is appropriate.

It’s more than appropriate, it’s perfect!

Just substitute the Alps for Mohammet’s mountain and the analogy will work on many more levels.

It is a stunning, but uncomfortable, analogy:

    We have an out-of-control administration/regime.

Sorry, but I just don’t think this cartoon is appropriate.

I sure do. It’s nothing as savage as the Niagara of anti-GWB cartoons that the MSM poured on the people for six years.

With Obama’s clear record of hiding his intent, and bamboozling the public, and stiff-arming the Congress out of its role, it’s just plausible enough to deserve a place in every major newspaper in the country.

This cartoon made me sad. To live in an age when this can happen in reality, and in politics, it is horrific on both fronts. WR Mr. Branco, you definitely hit a nerve, but I suppose that is the point.

    At least you’re sorry.

Funny, but lately was thinking of the juxtaposition of Obama and the German pilot.

It is very appropriate and a great analogy for what Obama is doing to our country. He is piloting the country to crash and burn while ignoring all objections and attempts to stop him.

Is 0bama really piloting the plane? I thought he was out golfing as usual ….

Here’s the narrative that could perfectly accompany this Branco cartoon: hopenchangecartoons.blogspot.com/2015/03/crash-position.html?spref=tw&m=1 …

One part of the cartoon is missing: that is, showing Obama parachuting out to safety.

I think it is inappropriate. Not because of Obama’s bad policy, but rather it is callous towards the victims on that flight.

    Vascaino in reply to tkc882. | March 30, 2015 at 2:50 pm

And what about the poor victims if he leads us into a third world war?

      tkc882 in reply to Vascaino. | March 30, 2015 at 5:03 pm

Then Obama will rightly be scorned for that. He already is in trouble for his bad foreign policy.

For me, using the tragedy of a mass murder to make an unrelated political point is bad form.

        rokiloki in reply to tkc882. | March 30, 2015 at 8:01 pm

What trouble? Obama has been thumbing his nose at the Constitution since he got into office and he has never been held accountable. He isn’t in any trouble. He is destroying lives as sure as that coward pilot destroyed the lives of everyone on board that plane.

Not because of Obama’s bad policy, but rather it is callous towards the victims on that flight.

It’s not callous. It focuses on the deliberate cause of the crash, and calls for accountability. Our precious ‘mainstream’ media is cynically giving up, in front of God and everybody, the last shreds of its credibility to avoid making that call. Bootlickers!

Branco has nailed the close resemblance between that self-obsessed pilot and Obama, who both wish immortality at the expense and destruction of helpless people who trusted them.

Some times when I’ve flown puddle jumpers and turbo props, the cabin attendant has asked passengers to switch seats to balance the load fore and aft … never seen it on a jet, but it stands to reason that IF the cockpit were crammed with the cume weight of a congress and supreme court that does Obama’s bidding, it would certainly be nose heavy and prone to dive … Obama sitting in the control tower directing air traffic …

A footnote; A comment I read at Citizen news in reference to this cartoon.
http://www.citizens-news.com/2015/03/30/crashing-america/

“Because America is in trouble. We feel the descent in the pits of our stomachs. We hear the shake and rattle of structures stressed beyond their limits. We don’t know where we’re going anymore, but do know it isn’t good. And above all, we feel helpless because Barack Obama has locked us out.”
