Oh sure, the first winter storm is hitting in the US… half the country is getting early snow and it’s 28 degrees in Austin, TX this morning. And you’re gloating about the VI? OK, maybe you weren’t gloating exactly but that post was none too subtle.
One of my favorite places in the world is the BVI, and you’re a short hop by boat from Jost Van Dyke, my favorite island. A perfect day can be spent at the Soggy Dollar Bar followed by a magical evening of dinner and live music at Foxy’s.
Snap, damn, I need to go drain my garden hoses so they don’t freeze and split, if they haven’t already.

If you get a chance, go up the hill to Bluebeard’s and have dinner at Room With A View; Georgie Haj runs the best restaurant on any of the USVIs!
That is a great spot for dinner. A fabulous spot for brunch is Glady’s Cafe… bring back a bottle of her orange hot sauce.
The American territories of St. John and St. Thomas are full-out Obama supporters. Amazingly, they think that socialism is a good thing down in the islands……… 😉
