Grinch Award. Man arrested with cache of weapons and fireworks, too.

One of my favorite Christmas moments is when I watch “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” with my son.

This year, I didn’t have to pull out the DVD to review the story. Ferguson protesters captured its essence by surrounding  some children caroling for a Christmas tree lighting in Seattle and making them cry.

Demonstrators marched through holiday traffic, blocked intersections and shut down light rail service to Westlake station. Some protesters moved the demonstration to the edge of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, where they clashed with police officers.

Both officers and demonstrators used pepper spray, police said. Some protesters wore gas masks.

Later, the city’s traditional Christmas lighting ceremony at Westlake started early after protesters surrounded the area and began rallying. Police turned out in force, arresting five people and prompting the mall to close several hours early.

Police said the arrests included people accused of assaulting officers and damaging an officer’s bicycle.

After the tree lighting, the mayor and Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole visited with young carolers who were interrupted by protesters, the mayor’s office said.

The best coverage came from Twitter:

Josh Trujillo tweeted an image that gives a sense of the situation in Seattle.

I must admit, I didn’t realize the iconic blue city of Seattle was such a hotbed of racism!

More than 200 protesters, some chanting “Black Lives Matter!” tried to disrupt Black Friday shopping and downtown Seattle’s traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Police turned out in force, arresting five people, and a downtown mall closed early.

The tree was lighted on a rainy Friday evening. Shortly before 6 p.m., Seattle police turned shoppers away from the downtown Westlake Center mall, saying it was closed for the night. Mall security confirmed the shopping center had closed. The mall had been scheduled to stay open until 9 p.m.

In a statement, Mayor Ed Murray said while he supports the protesters’ First Amendment rights, “violence against property or police officers will not be tolerated in our city.” Police said arrests included people accused of assaulting officers and damaging an officer’s bicycle.

As an extra bonus, Seattle police arrested a man with fireworks enough for New Years Eve!

A man arrested during Monday night’s Ferguson-related protest in Seattle faces several charges after police say they uncovered a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives in his backpack and car.

Jeffrey Alan Acord, 31, was charged Wednesday with possession of a concealed weapon without a permit, carrying a dangerous knife and illegal possession of fireworks, reported NBC affiliate KING5. According to police, a witness saw Acord reach under a vehicle while holding a road flare, and when they searched him, they found a loaded 9 mm handgun without a permit and a 7-inch knife. More weapons, including an assault rifle and a shotgun, as well as a box of fireworks, were found in his car after police secured a search warrant, The Seattle Times reported.

I thought progressives were suppose to do things, “for the children”. The Ferguson protesters attempts at ruining the Christmas season to the point they are truly worthy of my “Grinch Award” for 2014.

When I heard of this last night, my first oral reaction involved Mag-Lites to the head of assorted people. When I explained it to my wife, who is normally a much gentler person than I am, her first reaction was Mag-Lites hell; shoot them.

Physically threatening elementary school kids tends to bring out a more atavistic response. I was surprised that no parent(s) took out one or more of the demonstrators, but then again this is Seattle. I more than suspect that this, and other deliberate provocations have the specific intent of causing a violent defensive reaction so the demonstrators can claim to be victims.

Note from the picture that JackRacistTerrierist’s “African-American Community” is not to blame.

It’s not to blame in Ferguson, either, because it doesn’t exist as a “thing”. There is no such homogeneous entity.

There ARE black people and a lot of white, Asian, etc. people who are mostly connected via their Collectivist ideology, or as the result of being bred under that burden.

Blacks, Mike Brown, the poor, striking workers, etc., are all merely pawns in a much larger game called “revolution.” The cause du jour is immaterial; what’s important is agitation, discontent, disruption, destruction. What Marxist/communist agitators whip people up into a frenzy over is not as important as the fact that the fires of animosity are being stoked. Study the history of communist takeovers and attempted takeovers, and you’ll see this is the case. One of their aims is to create crisis so the knee-jerk reaction will be “Something must be done!!” – at which point they can conveniently offer their services, whether you like it or not.

That’s why the similarities between “Ferguson” riots and “Occupy ______” are so striking – they’re cut from the same bolt of cloth. Same agitators, shipping their rabblerousers wherever they can cause trouble. The numbnuts in Seattle (or wherever) are fools, either willingly or unwillingly, and the ones who truly believe it’s about “black lives matter” are the biggest fools of all. They are tools and they don’t even know it.

The police absolutely must crack down on this $#!+. Like cockroaches, they must be dealt with before they spread.

Nordic, I also believe that this is the motive behind Obama’s actions, particularly the ones since the midterms. He is an agitator and he wants an excuse to levy martial law as a first step. Notice that his organized thugs, the DHS, are heavily armed. And they don’t take an oath to defend the Constitution.

    “Don’t bust us…no peace!”

“For the children” is a slogan not a concern for these jerks. What they are are snot nosed, smug, people with low esteem who try to fool themselves with this kind of nonsense.

Seattle’s leftist Mayor Ed Murray made a statement: while he supports the protesters’ First Amendment rights, “violence against property or police officers will not be tolerated in our city.”

The lordly Mayor left blank the part of the statement where the kids’ First Amendment rights should have been defended, or even noticed.

He’s worthy of comparison with Napoleon of Animal Farm.

All people have First Amendment rights, but some have Firster rights than others.

Seattle loves its riots. They have one annually every May 1. They’ve got more than enough black thugs and anarchist whiteys to make this happen.

Of course if it leaves Seattle, they’ll get hit with a tube sock full of quarters in about a nano second.
