Police wife on #Ferguson: “This could have easily been us in this situation”

http://youtu.be/eBx06JcFGdk

From a comment to Neo’s post, Competing media narratives of Darren Wilson and Michael Brown:

As the wife of a police officer I find this hugely upsetting. This could have easily been us in this situation.

What the press and others are doing is criminal.

It is terrifying to think that if a police officer protects himself that his life is over. If he doesn’t his life is literally over.

If any of you have a few extra minutes, my blog partner wrote up a short take-down of the media “Narrative”, pertaining to the over-emphasis of the fact Brown was “unarmed”.

Read it here. It’s short, to the point, and makes an offer the media shouldn’t refuse (but no doubt will anyway).

Excellent article. Thank you for the link.

Perhaps if there is a trial ( which I am very unre of ) Officer Love can come and testify about his experience.

It’s to the point a satirical ‘modest proposal’ for police would be to just die more. I don’t think that’s much of an option, and I don’t think it’d do black communities much good either.

It is not about truth. It is not even about unfairness. The NYT propoganda is solely to help the Democrats energize their black base and get them to the polls.

Democrat power is what this BS is all about.

Thank you for the link. Best wishes and my Prayers for Deputy Love and his family. Do you know if there is a site set up for donations for him?

Outstanding article. Bravo! The Voice of the People and there should be more of it.

Donations for his young family can be sent to Lakewood Sheriff’s Station, 5130 Clark Ave, Lakewood, CA 90712. Checks can be made out to Brandon Love or the Lakewood Station Fund. Everything will go to his family for their expenses during his recovery.”

Lakewood is a sleepy, little bedroom community outside of Los Angeles. It’s a safe city, largely due to the efforts of our Deputies. There has been a tremendous community-wide outpouring of support for Deputy Love and his family. The Station’s Memorial Wall has been covered with flowers and wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Deputy Love.

The latest:
http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2014/08/25/cnn-reporting-audio-of-mike-brown-shooting-during-audio-chat-with-a-friend-two-volleys-10-shots-4-and-6/#comments

some guy claims to have caught the shots on audio.

I’ve started to examine the audio a bit, IMHO there is at least a 65% it is fake, and I estimate that low because I am trying to take into consideration my biases.

Having said that even if it’s not fake it doesn’t seem to advance the “Wilson is guilty” narrative much.

Grand Old Partier in reply to MouseTheLuckyDog. | August 26, 2014 at 1:03 pm

Just the fact that CNN released it first makes it suspect at best.

Bruce Hayden in reply to MouseTheLuckyDog. | August 26, 2014 at 4:10 pm

Not really sure of the relevance of those supposed extra shots. Investigators have known since day 1 how many rounds were fired. A couple more just means that officer Wilson is normal and missed with a couple of rounds. So far, the only evidence that Wilson shot Brown after he had been disabled is the fact that either head wound could have been fatal. But one theory is that the shot to the top of the head hit Brown as he was falling forward, already fatally shot. But with those (probably) last two shots so close together, it makes little sense trying to legally separate them.

Marie Walker felt the same as this police wife.Marie Walker however, isn’t part of WVI.So Marie Walker just as her husband are undeserving of sympathy here at LI.

Really? You know how Mrs. Walker felt how, exactly? Put up your links.

I think she felt like her husband had lost his mind when he was engaging in the road-rage gymkhana with the other vehicle. I think she felt betrayed on behalf of herself and her children.

Char Char Binks in reply to m1. | August 26, 2014 at 2:49 pm

Joseph Walker was found not guilty, a verdict you, I and many others here agree with. Try to stay on topic.

Gremlin1974 in reply to Char Char Binks. | August 26, 2014 at 3:44 pm

Oh no, that’s not the progressive way, you must agree with them in whole, disagreeing and accepting isn’t sufficient.

Example Both Rags and I have made it clear that we don’t agree with the Juries decision in the walker case but we accept the juries decision.

    “Ancient history”. “Move On”.

I think all white cops should go on strike.

Maybe even all white folks should go on strike. Just as a reminder of how much everyone needs us too.

My son is a LEO, also. I’ve never been more scared for him than I am right now.

“It is terrifying to think that if a police officer protects himself that his life is over. If he doesn’t his life is literally over.”

And I think this is the strategy behind the No Justice No Peace crowd. Plant disabling seeds of doubt among law enforcement, and create defacto thugocracies that loot, extort, and bend government to their will.

Out-of-control instant anarchy in a can is coming to a community near you the next time a menacing black youth is stopped with lethal force. And lies will dominate brazenly from the outset; the mob does not fear the tiny fraction of journalists seeking to publish a balanced, objective truth. And Media bosses know their profits lie in distortion — the bigger the better.

    Ragspierre in reply to Mark30339. | August 26, 2014 at 2:17 pm

But this is an old, old story from the Collective.

There is no vital area of our culture that has not been attacked, and the more essential, the more vicious the attack. The whole ambit of “law and order” has been made the focus of a broad-based assault, including mocking the very idea, and painting those who support a civil society as racists, Nixonites, bourgeois, etc., and plenty more etc.

It certainly isn’t limited to the “no justice…” crowd. And it sure isn’t new.

And could martial law be far behind? Cloward-Piven?

Humphrey's Executor | August 26, 2014 at 2:01 pm

Has the FBI/DOJ published any sort of preliminary findings or report in this matter? If not, is anyone on their back like they are on the back of the local officials?

Char Char Binks | August 26, 2014 at 3:00 pm

According to the NY Times, Brown called his father at 1 a.m. one night in June to tell him he saw angels, God, and Satan in the clouds. It wasn’t like seeing a cloud that looks like a puppy; he apparently called hours later to tell his father about it. After all the amateur psychoanalyzing of Zimmerman, and the deliberate distortions of his religious views, how will the media, and the court treat this hallucination, this classic symptom of psychosis? Did Brown have a history of treatment for psych problems, or a lack of treatment for them?

As former LEO, I see a bigger agenda that requires two elements of our culture to broken:
1) Local law enforcement must be destroyed by making it look ineffective, racist, or whatever.
2) Private gun ownership must be eliminated.

These two elements get attacked at different times. The solution? Federal law enforcement is to be the only law enforcement. How many FBI agents and DOJ lawyers did Holder send in? The Department of Agriculture now has a SWAT team! Really? Have you ever seen Sheriff’s refuse to enforce laws before (gun control)? Ferguson was/is a single battle. The destruction of an innocent cop is a small price for the liberals. He is a statistic not a person. They know the facts. They must distort them to further their agenda.

Local cops and Sheriffs are more than public safety. They are on the front lines of our liberty. Support them or you will wish you had done so.

Local law enforcement, whether the cops or the DA, are a barrier to total federal control. They are targets.

My problem here is that there are minimum standards of conduct required for a civil society. Part of this in this case is that you don’t strong arm store clerks in order to commit theft, you don’t try to punch out cops, and you don’t grab for their guns (not saying this all happened, of course, but at least some probably did, given the video of the robbery) somehow though, we are supposed to see the inner good of those committing the violence because their mothers love them, and the political party they support so strongly enslaved them and then kept them close to slaves for the next century. Maybe we do need to cut these violent young men some slack, but this isn’t the place. It isn’t a good idea for society to essentially legalize and accept anti-social violent behavior on the part of these young men just because of the color of their skin.

Let me point out the unfortunate ramifications of condoning the type of behavior engaged in by Brown, Trayvon Martin, and many other minority youth. If they are given a pass for committing anti-social violent acts by society, very quickly many will question whether the minority youth they see or meet will conform to societal standards. That is apparently already the case even in the case of civil rights leaders like Rev Jackson.

Just like Trayvon Martin, a violent, aggressive thug is taken out before he kills somebody.

In Brown’s case, it may be “before he kills somebody ELSE.”

The local paper filed an FOIA request for his juvenile record – he’d only been an “adult” for a few months – since his death precludes any privacy rights. Many are saying he was involved in a previous murder, but the request is getting the Obama treatment – they coat it in peanut butter and leave it on the porch, then say the dog ate it.

Reviewing the incomplete sum of what is known so far, the only person who emerges with something to apologize for is Michael Brown, vis-a-vis the video of him snatch & grabbing blunts and shoving the store clerk when confronted on it.

Actually, none of the recordings are accurate.

On the other hand, this one is. It is the only genuine sound recording of the Furgeson robbery suspect shooting:
