In Singapore, you’d be on the sidewalk chewing gum chain gang for life if you were to accidentally shoot off a little skyrocket firecracker into neighboring Malaysia.
The culture of Singapore is geared towards creating wealth, not blowing it up.
I think all of the Islamist subgroups are insane, and it is Allah’s punishment for blasphemy. In the introduction to the Hamas Covenant, Hamas says they intend to destroy their own souls in the path of Allah, and then they set forth a plan for eternal warfare and genocide against their neighbors, all in violation of Allah’s law. If Allah is anything at all like Ywh, He won’t tolerate that kind of mockery.
Another way to say it would be that a society that knowingly tolerates the murder of people for trivial reasons cannot contain the resulting violence, and eventually self-destructs.

Everything old is new again. They won in 1967 too, and in 1973.
