Well, I do believe he was the only one who ever called Saddam Husseinand Iraq an “imminent threat”.
Something that was falsely attributed to Cheney and Bush.
“There has been some debate over how “imminent” a threat Iraq poses. I do believe that Iraq poses an imminent threat, but I also believe that after September 11, that question is increasingly outdated.”
“As a great-grandson of oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller, he is the only currently serving politician of the prominent six-generation Rockefeller family and the only one to have held office as a Democrat in what has been a traditionally Republican dynasty.’
Good news !
“On January 11, 2013, Rockefeller announced that he would not seek reelection in 2014.[2]”
As much as I know so far about prominent conservatives — their backgrounds, character, and how they sound when they speak up — I would support Senator Johnson to lead the 2016 Republican ticket for president.
Sen. Johnson sounds to me like a Mr. Smith (the one who went to Washington). I haven’t seen the movie, but “my” Mr. Smith has free market biz experience, right thinking and (trigger warning) a pair.
As if one needed any more proof that politicians’ sitting ensconced in their lofty sinecures for decades on end results in a palpable withering of basic faculties, intellect and brain function…

Jay Rockefeller is completely 30 years in the United States Senate.
Can anyone name his major accomplishments? What issues he has led upon? What he stands for? His memorable speeches?
I didn’t think so.
He’s been a worthless Democratic hack since he hit town. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
He sounds a lot like John Kerry.

Does retiring Jay Rockefeller know that Obamacare can be considered as black on black crime?
Great job Sen. Johnson giving Rockefeller hell! What scum Rockefeller is.
That was a misuse of the race card. A rookie mistake by a dyed-in-the-wool liberal veteran.
Doesn’t he live off a trust fund made from money earned by the blood and deaths of legal immigrants his family abused?

Even better – the Republican running for his now open seat, Shelley Moore Capito, is polling 10+ points ahead of the new D.
George andJ eb Bush would just smile and say nothing if they were called a racist by Rockefeller.
