George Zimmerman’s girlfriend wants to drop charges

George Zimmerman’s girlfriend wants to drop charges

“I want to be with George”

I told you there were problems with the most recent arrest of George Zimmerman allegedly for pointing a shotgun at his girlfriend, when it came out that the girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, was shopping for a paid interview prior to the incident.

Now, according to court filings (embedded at bottom of post), Sheibe wants to drop the charges. Via Orlando Sentinel:

George Zimmerman’s girlfriend — who authorities said accused him of pointing a shotgun at her — no longer wants him to be prosecuted, and wants to resume their relationship, according a new motion.

A sworn statement made by the girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, was attached to a motion by Zimmerman’s lawyer seeking to modify the conditions of Zimmerman’s bond in his domestic violence case.

In the statement, Scheibe says she felt “intimidated” when police questioned her about the Nov. 18 incident that led to Zimmerman’s arrest. She adds that she “may have misspoken.”

“I want to be with George,” Scheibe says in the statement, adding later: “I do not want George Zimmerman charged. I make this decision freely, knowingly and voluntarily,” and without coercion, she says.

She says that she and Zimmerman had an “argument,” but Zimmerman “never pointed a gun at or torward my face in a threatening manner.”

The original 911 call (language warning):

Here’s the text of the Affidavit Scheibe filed:

I, Samantha Scheibe do hereby swear that the following is true and accurate:

1. On November 18,2013, I called 911 during an argument with my boyfriend, George Zimmerman.
2. We were arguing over personal matters, and I was very overwhelmed and upset at the time.
3. When I was being questioned by the police I felt very intimidated. I was not allowed to call an attorney nor was I allowed to eat or drink anything for a very longtime. I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to the police. I do not feel that the arrest report accurately recounts what happened.
4. There were guns in the residence that belonged to George and a gun that belongs to me.
5. During the argument, George and I exchanged words l.u. the heat of the moment and we were in very close proximity in a relatively small room. George never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner.
6. I want to be with George. I contacted George’s attorney to ask if there was any way that the stay away order can be lifted so that we can talk and be together. I am not afraid of George any manner and I want to be with him.
7. I do not want George Zimmerman charged. I make this decision freely, knowingly and voluntarily, without any intimidation coercion or undue influences. Neither George Zimmerman nor anyone on his behalf bas threatened me or coerced me or subjected me to any undue influences.

Further, I request that the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office not be allowed to harass me because I do not wish to take part in any prosecution.

The monster! Now he’s controlling people’s minds, psychically! Or something…

George, lose this girl and get the hell out of Florida.

Unfortunately, he probably can’t leave Florida until his divorce is final and “all that”.

He can leave Florida anytime that he isn’t under a restriction by the court.

As for divorce, his attorney can represent him or Zimmerman can just not show up. Not like there are kids to worry about.

Of course, from a potential fiscal distribution, perhaps. But that’s what his attorney would be stepping for him to handle.

I’m thinking it is time to visit “the old country” so to speak.

Not A Member of Any Organized Political in reply to Pablo. | December 9, 2013 at 11:14 pm

George needs to have her committed!

    and I don’t mean to a nunnery!

Zimmerman would be the biggest idiot if he goes back to this woman.

Second Pablo! George has been hanging with the wrong crowd and needs to hit the road. North Dakota is booming…a guy like him could try his hand on the fracking fields. Probably have more openings in Dec than in June what with the -15 degree highs in North Dakota.

George should seriously consider this. There’s more job openings than people looking for jobs (20k vs 10k in October), and he could vanish into some anonymity for a while.

One thing is certain — Z-man wouldn’t have any journolisters stalking him up in ND for at least seven months.

This chick is a completely lunatic. Where does he find these girls?

George should join a monastery for a while.

1. She didn’t get a decent offer from the tabloids first time around, so wants another chance to get the marketable goods on him.

Or

2. She’s a fruitcake.

Appropriate response is the same in either case. If George Z. doesn’t flush her pronto and manages to get into hot water again because of it, he’s on his own; no more defense fund contributions from me.

Being railroaded by the federal and state governments, the liberal press, and America’s professional race pimps is one thing. Being dumber than sticks is another.

Uncle Samuel in reply to rantbot. | December 9, 2013 at 7:19 pm

She may be a fruitcake, but she is definitely a liar, and made false allegations to the police. She should suffer legal consequences.

George should steer clear of Samantha Scheibe and her mother…and of his former wife and her parents.

He really needs a counselor and a chaperone.

I would be willing to bet the farm that she will have no legal consequence for her actions as what she did fits the narrative of the Angela Corey ilk and the media, but I repeat myself.

I think George should sue police dept for arrest without probable cause. He was deprived of due processes. It’s apparent at this time there was not probable cause to arrest Zimmerman. Probable cause to enter the house and investigate, but not probable cause to arrest Zimmerman. They apparently used the “arrest the male” standard instead for determining what to do.

But isn’t that the case in she said, he said cases? What she says is considered true and what he says is ass covering.

platypus in reply to imfine. | December 10, 2013 at 2:18 pm

That’s what I said in the first LI thread about this incident — that there was no evidence that a crime was committed. It’s one thing to tell him to get lost for awhile (so she can get a restraining order) and quite another to arrest him based on an allegation with NO supporting evidence. All the muttering on this site about the broken table aside, there was no solid evidence who broke the table so it doesn’t count. And the guns were packed away.

Now she could have prosecuted him on a citizen’s complaint but that only works for misdemeanors. They booked Z-man on a felony so she is NOT liable for false statements because she wasn’t under oath in a courtroom.

Way too much conflating and commingling going on, for a law website. People here should be ashamed of themselves for sucking on the tabloid teat.

With my sincere apologies to PFC Pyle, “Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!”

George, put on your clothes. Run away from this girl.

Can’t wait for HLN tonight! Nancy Grace, Pinksy and bobbing bimbos…its a schmorgeeborg!

remember when some of us here were skeptical some commentators called us all sorts of names?
well to those that did…FU

I’m totally shocked. (not)

Scheibe a liar.

Police should prosecute her for making a false statement.

Some men are not good at chosing the right woman. He’d be best to dump her, press charges and practice abstinence. Much safer in his case.

“I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to the police. … George never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner. “

Let’s go to the 911 transcript:

SAMANTHA: He’s in my house breaking all my shit because I asked him to leave. He has his freaking gun breaking all of my stuff right now.

DISPATCHER: OKAY

SAMANTHA: I’m doing this again?? You just broke my glass table, you just broke my sunglasses and you put your gun in my freaking face and told me to get the fuck out!! This is not your house. No, get out of here!

Well, okay. I can see how that might have been “misinterpreted”.

Awwwww, gawd, it’s like OJ, Anna Nicole, JonBenet, and Michael Jackson all at once, again. And again and again and again.

Shoot me. Just f**king shoot me.

smalltownoklahoman | December 9, 2013 at 9:13 pm

George, politely thank her for dropping the charges but also refuse to resume any relationship with her. Once somebody betrays you in such a manner as she has it’s time to seriously consider looking for love from someone else.

MouseTheLuckyDog in reply to smalltownoklahoman. | December 9, 2013 at 11:56 pm

If you need “love”, and face it in this day and age mainstream society does everything it can to convince us we do.

I strongly suggest he not go find someone for love, but find something. (If he absolutely has to. ) As I pointed out before a fleshlight does not call the police.

What if she did it so that police would falsely arrest him, thus giving him a slam dunk civil tort suit for substantial damages.

She could have just been trying to help the old cash flow situation. Who’s to say?

Classic case of Munchausen’s if you ask me.

Run, George, run.

Funny. I don’t remember seeing this on any of the MSM.

JackRussellTerrierist | December 10, 2013 at 2:16 am

George should tip his hat to the lady as soon as the charges are dropped and he’s released from bail. Then run, George, run to a calmer, quieter state where people vote for candidates who protect the Second Amendment, think you were right to plug Trademark, and where you can learn how to vote right by appreciating the other values of conservatism. There’s a whole world waiting for a young man who will but open his eyes. Carpe diem, boy!

I hope (but highly doubt) that he’s smart enough to remember that, even if she’s now changing her story about the 9/11 call, she hasn’t said anything about changing her story to the tabloid reporter where she made her most outrageous claims.
I can only hope that he’s getting back in her good graces only to get the charges dropped and so he can get his stuff quietly and behind her back and RUN, GEORGE, RUN!

Run for your life, George.

If he goes back with her, he deserves everything he gets, and it won’t be pretty.

A sworn statement made by the girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, was attached to a motion by Zimmerman’s lawyer seeking to modify the conditions of Zimmerman’s bond in his domestic violence case.

It’s very odd that the statement was attached to a motion by Zimmerman’s lawyer. Did the lawyer circumvent Scheibe’s attorney? Shouldn’t Scheibe have been sent back to her own attorney.

platypus in reply to Zachriel. | December 10, 2013 at 2:29 pm

Unless she is a named party in a legal action, she doesn’t have a retained attorney-at-law. At best she might have an attorney-in-fact but no restrictions apply to such a situation beyond the “generally behave yourself” portions of the Model Rules.

Phillep Harding | December 10, 2013 at 2:39 pm

Nothing about being able to possess firearms?

She has broken trust at a very basic level. Is she taking it further and setting him up to be “chastised” (killed or imprisoned, which would be a death sentence, IMO)?

lol, not in a million years you liberal wanting to get my ass thrown in jail so you can have 20 minutes of fame. My words to her if I was Zimmerman

Hm. Here’s an idea that might explain her sudden change in behavior. What if GZ had recorded the incident and that recording backs his story up? If so, this turns into a “She said, he said and has tape to back it up” event, which never goes well for the other party in court.

This prostitute probably felt the backlash, and realized there’s more money staying.

Poor George.
