Developing Zimmerman defense narrative: Girlfriend set him up

Developing Zimmerman defense narrative: Girlfriend set him up

Almost as soon as George Zimmerman was arrested, a report surfaced that girlfriend Samantha Scheibe, who made the dramatic phone call to 911, had been shopping her story to national media for several weeks — but no one would pay her what she wanted.

The Orlando Sentinel confirmed that at least one national media outlet (unnamed) had such communications:

WKMG’s report that the women were seeking money for interviews with national news organizations was confirmed to the Sentinel by one such organization.

Not unexpectedly, the Zimmerman defense team is letting it be known that this was a set-up, via TMZ:

George Zimmerman was duped and done in by a lying GF who faked a pregnancy to keep him around and then framed him when she realized he was leaving her … sources connected with Zimmerman tell TMZ.

George is now facing felony domestic violence charges after Samantha Scheibe claimed he threatened her with a gun and forced her out of their house.

Our Zimmerman sources say … here’s how it really went down:

Early this month, George made it clear to Samantha he was leaving her and leaving Florida. Samantha then dropped a bombshell– that she was 6 weeks pregnant. George now believes she was lying about it in order to keep him in her grip.

George then offered to make a child custody and support deal … but Samantha wanted him.

On Monday … things came to a head when George was packing his bags to leave and our sources say Samantha concocted the whole gun scenario as revenge.

Meanwhile, Shellie Zimmerman, who served divorce papers on George at the county jail during his recent arrest, is telling news media that George has unraveled since the trial.

Although Mark O’Mara is not representing George anymore, he expressed concern as to what it must be like to be such a hated man, constantly in hiding and fearing for his safety:

George Zimmerman’s former attorney says he’s “worried” about his one-time client following Zimmerman’s arrest on assault charges.

Mark O’Mara responded to the arrest for the first time Thursday night.

During a nationally televised interview on CNN, O’Mara described Zimmerman as “peaceful” and “mellow” before being arrested for the murder of Trayvon Martin. But he says the long trial caused trauma, and says Zimmerman has never received any counseling.

“He was turned into one of the most hated men in America for having to defend his life, O’Mara said. “So I’m not sure what happens with a 28-year-old when you do that to him and put him in hiding for 16 or 18 months. Maybe this is some of that fallout.”

No more women. Get the heck out of Florida. Keep a low profile for a while.

Amen. Sumbitch needs to learn how to lie low and not attract lightning. Even better, flee the country, George. The Democrats still want to murder him.

BannedbytheGuardian | November 22, 2013 at 4:23 pm

Go gay George. . Or at least bi sexual. Then you will be loved by the left & be invited to WH Symposiums.

Sounds to be like they misspelled her last name, should be Scheiße.

If I were less experienced, the notion that a woman would do such a horrible thing would be unbelievable. Unfortunately, I know for a fact that there are evil women in this country.

I have no idea where the truth lies.

This is what happens when you police skip probable cause for an arrest and instead use “arrest the male” standard. Another example of the Rule of Law, Logic and Constitutional protections being wrecked for no apparent reason. we can only hope that Florida and other states start enacting touch Zero Tolerance laws against police, prosecutors and judges that feel that following the Constitution is optional.

Let a second degree murder charge hang over your head for a year and see how traumatized you get.

. . . with half the country baying at your heels, wanting to lynch you. The poor guy has suffered much. Sadly, he will suffer more.

I forgot who said the second worst thing that can happen to you, is to kill someone in self defense.

…..and probably even more traumatized when your former attorney sort of throws you under the bus. In the same breath the MOM sounds sympathetic to GZ, he’s also saying GZ has a problem, thus implying he could be guilty of the current charges.

MOM should not be surprised he hasn’t been fully paid. He knew GZ wasn’t at all wealthy when he took the case and he knows GZ has had few or no resources fall his way since the end of the trial. That’s why I found his remarks a couple months ago about not representing GZ in the Shellie confrontation because he hadn’t paid his bill to be pretty cheezy. It just wasn’t professional, and neither are his comments about this case. He’s out of line, IMO.

“Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned”, penned William Congreve.

Guess what Zman..

Keeping it clean:

Barry says, ‘if I had a son, he’d have a horn just like George’.

George Zimmerman did ______ to me… with a gun!

Just saving another dozen women out there the trouble of formulating the whole sentence unassisted.

GZ’s problem is that he’s just too pretty. Women will kill to keep a steamy hunk with chiseled good looks.

Hate to say it, but probably the best thing Zimmerman could do is to just get out of the country as soon as he’s legally able to do so and just stay away from the U.S. as much as possible for the next several years, maybe even longer. There are too many people here who are deeply invested in making him miserable (or worse) or wanting to use him as a tool for their cause.

The woman’s 911 call sounded staged to me … like she was trying to insert a list of important details. Like she tells him to get out … he just broke my table … he has a gun … he’s pushing me out … sounding hysterical, then very calm.

But you never hear him yelling, or anything breaking … not that easy to break tempered glass.

If she admits to lying about the pregnancy, combined with looking for a pay day for her story, and calling in a false report … maybe she should be investigated for filing a false report, and attempted fraud or extortion?

The descriptor of Mr. Zimmerman is schlimazl.

Get thee to a monastery George.

Ever hear of a female being prosecuted for a false domestic battery or even a false rape charge?

profshadow in reply to MarkS. | November 22, 2013 at 7:20 pm

I’m inclined to believe Zimmerman on this, based on my experience with an ex-wife. And of course, the fact that she falsely claimed pregnancy and was shopping her story around.

Spiny Norman in reply to profshadow. | November 23, 2013 at 11:30 am

I’m far more inclined to believe Zimmerman on this one than I was with the confrontation with his ex-wife. There was at least a miniscule probability of truth to the first incident. It didn’t hold up under the slightest scrutiny, but still…

GZ, go away somewhere. Find a cave. Go ranching somewhere out of the media’s eye. Just go away!

Christoph in reply to Juba Doobai!. | November 23, 2013 at 2:18 am

He’s entitled to try to live his life. If he gets taken advantage of by someone trying to set him up, and if this makes the news, this is not his fault.

Any word on the physical evidence?

Was a shotgun recovered? She said he used it to break a table, so, if found, does the butt have glass in it?

There may be absolutely no corroborating evidence at all, meaning a conviction is impossible, in a sane world.

I’d go for a bench verdict, if it even comes to trial.

Christoph in reply to bildung. | November 23, 2013 at 2:19 am

I hear initial reports that there was no shotgun recovered and the table was broken. Those were initial reports. Take them with a grain of salt.

It’s the democrat way. Keep spreading lies until they stick.

Innocent guy owes $2.5-million in legal fees!

Now? He’s got public defenders. So these public defenders have to defend George against a girl friend whom he was trying to leave. Who called the police. Angry. KNOWING she was going to make the news cycle with her call!

She doesn’t have a mark on her. And, I’m sure George Zimmerman did NOT wave a gun in her face!

But he’s stuck. Because the local police turned this into BIG TIME TV BUSINESS!

You could ask “why didn’t George leave town?”

Well, he’s got no money. And, whom can he trust?

As to this girl friend, he’s known her for 11 years! Easy to bed. Not so easy to leave.

Turns out lots of men leave women. No discussion. They just drive off to “get a pack of cigarettes.” And, never come home.

You’d think the least George could get would be a reality TV show.

O’Mara has closed his practice. And, is now a TV commentator. Looks like he went for a complete face lift, too.

This story seems to be staying local. But the local police have a problem. Because a TV station said WEEKS before this “incident,” Samantha Scheibe’s mom was “shopping the story of Georgie’s suicidal depression” since his acquittal.

Supposedly, Samanthat Scheibe “jumped in” and pulled a loaded gun from out of Georgie’s mouth.

And, yes. MONEY to “do” the interview was requested. Even public defenders, here, can build a case against the charges of a “waving gun” … Let alone the ANGRY phone call. Plus, the lie that Samantha was 6 weeks pregnant. (George did manage to get that tidbit out there.)

Yes, the State of Florida wants to keep George Zimmerman’s guns. CAN THEY? Judges are given a lot of “discretion” in Family Court matters.

It’s just a question if the judge assigned to this case “stinks from the head.”

They’re all politically appointed.

But in the local news … which is AIRING the fact that Samantha and her mom have been SHOPPING this story … looking to be paid for a media interview …

It’s only a question of time when IN THIS CASE George just proves that he’s an idiot when it comes to picking out sex partners.

And, after this is over? He should make sure his next girl friend is HISPANIC! Preferably one with poor English skills. He has to stop with his propensity to pick floozies.

i was thinking gz needs some help upstairs before he ends up in the sunday funny papers, or as some cartoon charactor that gets an anvil dropped on his head. this guy is surely reaching out for help but in all the wrong places. dang!

George;
I would never normally recommend this to anyone.
But in your special case…
It is cheaper to rent, than it is to buy.
Good luck.
Mark

Look at his options:
He cannot go anywhere without the press plastering what he is up to all over the news.
He tried growing a beard, and the press here put up a picture of him with a caption of “Look at what GZ looks like now!”
He can’t even get an apartment, because the $2.5 million in debt is trashing his credit so badly, combined with the fact that the media frenzy around him is so bad that no landlord in his right mind would invite that circus onto the property.
His life is over, just as surely as if he had been convicted. This is EXACTLY the reason why stand your ground was passed: to prevent show trials from being brought forward by unscrupulous government prosecutors who want to score political points.

I was very supportive and sympathetic to GZ during and after his trial but he needs to get the hell away from everybody especially women. Get a job on a fishing boat or do something that will take his mind and body away from FL and the last year. I’m afraid he might have gotten a little bit of Hollywood in his blood and now craves attention of any kind. I hope not.

Nope. The story was put out there by the media, but it didn’t sell.

When was this house rented to this couple?

The only part of the story that seems to have some teeth in it is that the local police took George’s guns away.

What kind of farce will turn up at the courthouse? This lady, and her mom, were trying to sell themselves as interview material to the media. But only for money.

They didn’t make a sale. But it seems they left a trail.

And, next up is another courtroom. With another judge.

It pays for the local police to walk away from this one very, very quietly. But jumping in front of cameras is an addiction lot limited to Chucky Shummer.

Anyone betting that Samantha Shceibe ends up claiming she never told Georgie she was pregnant? Then, she’d have a whole abortion angle she could strum?

Zimmerman really needs his own reality show.
