How can they not see the irony?

Their brains have been washed…and hung out, to dry.

Libs don’t, or won’t, see a lot of things.

A couple decades ago when I was an undergrad at a liberal eastern university, I had professors who lectured me over and over and over again that 25% of the world’s population (i.e. the west) uses 75% of the world’s resources. This is evil and unfair and wrong and the result of imperialistic attitudes of entitlement and superiority, I was told, and there was no room for debate. The western world is selfish and greedy and evil, and it takes horrible and unfair advantage of the noble poor in the Third World.

What we students never heard from these professors was the other side of the coin. Yes, the west uses a disproportionately large share of the world’s resources, but the west also contributes a disproportionately large share of the world’s most useful innovations and advancements. Because of inventions, discoveries, etc., of the west, the rest of the world is healthier, wealthier, better able to communicate, better able to get around, and generally freer and better off than they otherwise would have been.

But my liberal professors back then, like most liberals today, would not tolerate any type of dissent from their anti-western orthodoxy. They had decided who the bad guys and the good guys were, and they were not going to hear any contrary facts that might muddle their absolute moral certainty.

Moron!

I wonder how many fancy cars there were in the Soviet Union, in China during the heyday of total Communism?

I don’t know about the USSR, but a few years ago, from knocking around China, there were more bikes than motorbikes and cars.

Yes, capitalism is plunderful when you load up your cart with $700 of food to buy at the Mansfield, LA, Walmart despite having only .49 on your EBT card. Of course capitalism is plunderful when you can take advantage of corporations like Xerox and Walmart. (There is a Walmart grocery in Wauwatosa….)

Obama hates the “colonialists” that “plundered” the dreams from his father.

But his half brother says he wishes Kenya had “kept the whites longer … they would have developed us, instead of all the fighting, fighting over nothing. Look at where South Africa is, they are practically a developed nation, while Kenya is still a basket case.”

So Obama wants to do for America, what his father did for Kenya.

    Ah, but remember…

This is First Plunderer Day to the Zinn-history Oikophobic haters in the Collective.

yeah, the left can be a little americentric, at least when dealing with unfairness in history. They seem pretty blind to all America has overcome on the world stage, and the continual move toward more individual freedom. At least till “progressives” began their plundering.

They are a little thin on explaining the continuing unfairness in the less developed havens of communism or socialism, despite their love of Mao, Che, or Chavez. A brutal world has been made easy in capitalist domains, while the tribalism of much of Africa has left them “a basket case”.

On a Prius. Which s/he was able to afford.

Market economic innovate, provide choices, and use resources most efficiently.

BIG GOVERNMENT RUINS…right after IT really plunders the people.

What definition of “capitalism” is the bumper sticker employing? Does it match reality?

After they eat the rich, who will feed the poor?

Truth is Socialism Is Plunderful thus, liberals deflect with attacks on those whom they plunder.

It’s all very typical and very very Marxist.

Banditry is called “freelance socialisme” for a reason.

Government forcibly taking half of what you earn by your own efforts and spending it to empower the governing class = generosity and compassion.

I’d be willing to bet a box of donuts that Prius belongs to an employee of the MPS school district. They are some of the most successful pirates to have ever plundered Wisconsin’s public treasure.

Socialism is MONOPOLYFUL.

There is a reasonable compromise, but it does not begin with socialism. It begins with respect of individual dignity and ends with promote the general Welfare.

That said, I will change my opinion for a beachfront property in Hawaii.

Why is it these moronic bumper stickers are always on a Prius? Always.

Cuz it takes a particular kind of moron to buy into the alternative fuel/hybrid fuel BS as their reason for buying a Prius. Or maybe it is that Prius buyers think they are good people who care about the environment and are thus better than us fossil fuel fast car types so they must share their betterness with us. Or, just make up your own BS reason here….

Capitalism made that idiot’s Prius, the clothes on their backs, the food in their bellies, and keeps them safe! I guess telling them that would be pointless because how do you fix stupid!?

I wanted to get a picture the other day but couldn’t get to my phone in time… I was at a light with a Prius stopped in front of me. It had a ‘Greenpeace’ bumper sticker on it, and the driver rolled down his window and threw a burning cigarette butt out… littering AND we’re in the middle of an epic drought. But hey… do as I say, not as I do, right?

I used to live in ‘Tosa…Over the summer, I visited my old homestead and noticed how the city has slowly deteriorated. It’s the infestation out of the city of Milwaukee, making its way down North Avenue, slowly spreading the liberalism disease.
