The media is already prepping for the next game. Local news (reading the HQ script) led with “Is the damage already done?”
They claim our problem is that we weren’t ready to break the debt ceiling fast enough, not that we have too much debt. They are clueless about what a real default would be, and won’t say that it is all the excess spending and unfunded liabilities that weighs on credit ratings.
Raising taxes is the other avenue to lower debt, but Congress refuses to touch the carve outs lobbyists have bought for the big players over the years, so special exemptions rule.
No money or support for the Republican party from now on–will be sitting home unless there is a TEA party candidate running in an election.
Here in Jersey yesterday’s election proves again that being corrupt does not keep one from becoming senator. Au contraire! The dems all support corrupt politicos.
True. Its no longer worth the effort to vote for the “lesser of two evils”. One party will drive us over the cliff in 5th gear, the other in 4th. Let it all burn.
