A brief Bing says shale oil is profitable as long as oil is over $60 a barrel. So we need it for a strategic defense position against the Saudis or others, as well as to build our economy, via the direct activity, and the stimulating effect of lower energy costs for all production.
So of course Obama tries to block our shale efforts at every turn. But God Bless Texas. 🙂
