Saturday Night Card Game (“You think you’re doing something for black people, you’re not”)

Saturday Night Card Game (“You think you’re doing something for black people, you’re not”)

Larry Elder handed Piers Morgan his rear-end earlier this week.

It’s was good.

Not surprisingly, Epic clash between Larry Elder and Piers Morgan; Libs unleash torrent of haterade

Elsewhere in bizarre world, Chris Matthews has apologized… for all white people everywhere for everything.

I have a better idea, Chris. How about you just stop talking?

Chris Matthews has apologized for all white people.

I’d say an apology from a celebrity of that caliber covers all sins from all centuries, and can pretty much be called reparations.

There.

We’re done now.

The professional complainers can shut up.

Carol Herman in reply to RKae. | July 20, 2013 at 10:07 pm

For “all white people who watch his show.” It’s not a high number at all. Larry King, back in 1992, had so many white people who watched his show, that Ross Perot got his name put on ballots in all 50 states.

Katty in reply to RKae. | July 20, 2013 at 11:46 pm

And I apologize on behalf of all white people for Chris Mathews.

This is the same idiot who nearly wet himself listening to Barry’s first state of the Union because the man stood in front of a room full of white folk, like he was just as good as all of them, and spoke clearly (not in ebonics, the way Mathews clearly expects black folk to peak). Mathews is as condescending and racist as they come.

We have enough Lefty idiots in the “media”, why oh why, do we need one of the Brits.

Side note: It was wonderful to see and read about piersy getting his ass handed to him.

Katty in reply to JP. | July 20, 2013 at 11:56 pm

I have always loved Larry Elder. Unfortunately he lost this little debate. Larry appeared hysterical and Morgan calm and reasonable by comparison. Larry knew little about the case and he failed to destroy Morgan’s logic-free appeals to emotion. Instead of pointing out that concrete was the deadly weapon TM was using to bash in GZ’s skull, Larry was yelling about something irrelevant. Instead of pointing out that teenagers are not safe from deadly force if they choose to use deadly force themselves, he was yelling about something else. Larry should have also asked Morgan if he’s so concerned about people gunning down teenaged boys why he didn’t have anyone who testified in Roderick Scott’s trial on his show.

In the end, Larry came across as incoherent and Morgan came across as calm and reasonable. It was painful to watch because I very much like Larry Elder.

      My impression too.

I disagree only because it was a no-win situation so Elder just went for it and at least said some things hopefully a few of the loons take a listen to.

First off, it is just giving “them” a sound byte if he says she’s stupid (even if it’s true) so no point in answering that question.

Second, the “have you seen her educational background?” is a loaded question. Her records are sealed by FERPA privileges regardless of whether she’s a juvenile or adult at the time. The only available information about her education is her rose-colored view and excuses (trauma and sickness have held me back).

Lastly, go ahead and put “creole” on your resume as a spoken language. What a useless and mildly amusing parlor trick…won’t get you anywhere in life except in Piers Morgan’s candy land.

She’s had plenty of time to learn English and simply has chosen not to as some form of misguided rebellion by much of Black America. It was clear she had a script to memorize for her “interview” with Piers and would not be able to even successfully argue that the earth is round in a real conversation.

Oh, I disagree. I think Larry could have quickly and calmly destroyed the emotionally-charged, fact-free drivel Morgan spewed about the Zimmerman case.

Elder is a big proponent of school choice (as am I). The lack of school choice hurts poor blacks the most. Larry’s argument would have been better served not by asking Morgan if he would hire RJ but by pointing out that RJ is incoherent. That doesn’t make her stupid, but it is very good evidence of how being corralled into bad school districts with no way out disadvantages the very same people whose advancement Morgan is pretending to champion. In saying that, Elder could have turned the conversation in his direction and hoisted Morgan with with his own petard – all without seeming like he was getting hysterical.

As I said, I love Larry Elder and, although I don’t know all of his arguments because I couldn’t find his show for a long time, I agree with those I’ve heard. In this interview, he could have been more skillful.

Piers is trying to control the conversation, talk about things that only he wants to talk about, and Larry is having none of it. Good for him.

Carol Herman | July 20, 2013 at 8:36 pm

In the re-telling of the myth no one mentions that Trayvon Martin was EXPERIENCED at punching people on the nose, to stun them. He was EXPERIENCED at street fighting. And, he liked to see blood. And, just about everything was done by the judge NOT TO ALLOW IN the information that was on Trayvon’s phone. Even though the world now knows he was on the phone with Dee-Dee, Diamond Eugene, etc. Being pumped up to fight a man who was on the phone with the POLICE!

Piers Morgan is full of sh!t!

And, RJ did everything she could to stumble and mumble her way through SWORN TESTIMONY! And, the only time she actually said anything loud enough to hear … was when she said “WHAT !!” After her first day of testimony, when she was told to come back.

Do you know what’s funny? I don’t think Dee-Dee, etc., will ever see the money that has already been collected by Sybrina and Tracy. (Plus, there was a moment … when Don West was cross examining Rachel … that Rachel was testifying about how Sybrina and her mom were talking in a 3-way conversation … That Sybrina turned to Tracy and “mouthed” “She’s lying.” But if you weren’t watching “live” TV … you’ll never see this in a repeat clip.)

We’ve all been had by the stage mechanics.

Followed by obummer telling us how he’s a thug, too. Yup.

I missed seeing Sybrina mouth “She’s lying”, but I did see something else that disgusted me from the Martin family in the courtroom.

There’s one clip of the coverage when she gets testy with Don West and she mocks him and says “YOU can GO” when he’s trying to think of the next question.

And the camera pans over to the Martin family and you can see them laughing at this. What I saw next was like the scene with Bill Clinton walking out of Ron Brown’s funeral. He’s laughing and yukking it up until he sees a camera, so he pretends to start crying–meanwhile the other guy is unaware and continues laughing and smiling.

If you go back and watch the scene in the courtroom, when Ms. Jeantel mouths off to Mr. West, you can see a few of the people sitting with the Martin family laughing at this. There’s a young black male sitting close to Tracy who is obviously and unambiguously laughing at these antics. It’s apparent that they find humor in this “sista” dissing a “creepy white cracka” like Mr. West. You can see obvious laughter– but Tracy realizes the camera is on him and he quickly puts his hands over his face and pretends to be crying. And it’s way over the top theatrical. There was nothing emotional either at that point in the questioning which would have caused him to start crying. He got caught laughing and suddenly thought about all the money at stake– so he turned on the alligator tears. Disgusting.

Milwaukee in reply to Carol Herman. | July 20, 2013 at 11:47 pm

Morgan kept saying “he shot an unarmed teenager!” But that unarmed teenager had George on his back on the ground, was punching his face and bashing his head.

Elder has a point, if Morgan thinks JR is so dang smart, why doesn’t he hire her? And what are the three languages she speaks so well? English isn’t one of them.

My favorite quote of hers? “Sir, that’s retarded.” Where’s the outrage over that? Sort of like bowling in the Special Olympics.

Katty in reply to Milwaukee. | July 21, 2013 at 12:47 pm

      The rules of the game:

If the word “retarded” for any reason tumbles from the lips of Sarah Palin, then it is an outrage worthy of a death sentence. If the word is liberally employed by a black person (especially an incoherent one) or a far-left libtard, then it is just a sign of their genius. The same rules apply for racial slurs.

you may not understand this because you are a “creepy-ass cracker”, but do try to remember that for next time!!

Carol Herman | July 20, 2013 at 8:44 pm

You know, I don’t think obama is stupid, either. But he and Rachel Jeantel share, in common, a hatred of American culture.

Larry Elder: Another decent, intelligent and honest Black American calling it like it is, discrediting the race baiters that do NOTHING to address the real problems, but rejoice in stirring the pot and creating division among Americans.

Humphreys Executor | July 20, 2013 at 8:54 pm

Larry Elder is a breath of fresh air. Piers brought him on to talk about fluff and flummery but Elder decided to talk about important issues. Good job.

This is weird.
I am 50% white, 50% black, if you want to see it that way.

My white 50% says f##k you, chris matthews.

My black 50% says f##k you, chris matthews.

I think it was nice of Chris Matthews to apologize for all white people. Now I don’t have to worry about things I might have said or did. I can just say “I don’t need to apologize. Chris Matthews did that for me.”

Baker in reply to Baker. | July 20, 2013 at 9:23 pm

Guess that should say “..things I might have said or done.” It would help if I would proof things sometimes.

BannedbytheGuardian | July 20, 2013 at 9:23 pm

I am over Negroid ,Mongolian & Caucasian.

I am following the Humanoid , Neanderthal & Denisovan line of inquiry . There is a lot of new information coming through.

Neanderthals were actually quite social & the jewellery found was better than Rachel’s. Neanderthals are the new black.

Tingles Matthews does not even speak for all Irish drunks.

You DARE tell Sir Tingles to shut up ?

I hope he runs right back up Obama’s leg (he knows the path, and his goal there, so well) and tells on you !

Black America are not doing themselves any favors with all these Trayvon protests.

They run the risk of having it sink in to middle white America how much blacks hate them.

kentuckyliz in reply to Browndog. | July 21, 2013 at 12:31 pm

The protests and the random assaults on whites are going to increase profiling of black youth.

Did you see the news story where black youth protesting blocked the main road to the hospital?

A white family in a minivan are trying to rush their daughter/granddaughter to the hospital because she’s having an allergic reaction to a medication.

The grandma is in the front passenger seat and she opens the window to beg the crowd to clear the road, it’s an emergency.

A young black man walks up to her window and starts repeatedly punching white grandma in the face.

I thought there was a federal law that gave people the right to access clinics! The crowd should have been charged with denying access to a clinic.

The post-acquittal behavior is counterproductive and I am sure many people are going to be even more wary and suspicious of black people as a result.

At least Morgan let Elder have his say, even if both wanted to discuss what the other did not want.

BannedbytheGuardian | July 20, 2013 at 10:38 pm

2 hours & 4 mins o ‘ this thread & I have garnered the only down vote.

It comes so easy.

I would like to say I’m sorry to all of you for Chris Mathews being a gigantic asswipe.

But some of those Neanderthals were gingers!

Treyvon’s mom wonders what to tell her oldest son. Perhaps the two of them need to review this Chris Rock video, on how to avoid getting your ass beat by the police.

Chris Rock- How to Avoid a police beating10/21/2006

That was soooo funny in 2006, and is still good advice.

I am waiting for someone to question Diamond Dee-Dee about the three (or is it four) languages she speaks. English is not one of them. Haitian Creole and Creole are two languages she is supposed to speak fluently. I believe the two languages are, for all intents and purposes, the same—similar to American English and the Queen’s English.

I’d like to see someone to ask her to count from 1 to 10 in Spanish out loud.

Then tell her to subtract dos, and see what her answer is.

If she guesses that one, then ‘OK, now subtract uno from that, and add tres, what is it now ?’

‘I don’t know, sir, I didn’t take cacalass or algy-bra yet, I’m only 19 years old, sir. You can go now.’

DriveBy in reply to Jazzizhep. | July 21, 2013 at 8:38 am

“Haitian Creole is one of Haiti’s two official languages, along with French. It is a creole based largely on 18th-century French and some West African languages, and has secondary influence from other languages. In school, all children learn both Creole and French.”

So supposedly Jeantel can fluently speak English, Spanish, and the Haitian “creole” version of French; I have a hard time in believing that. But perhaps she can “get by” in a brief conversation in Spanish or Creole French, that I can believe.

Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but wasn’t Ms Jeantel born in the USA, and hasn’t she spent her entire education (what is it, 14 years by now) in the US Public School System?

DriveBy in reply to Amy in FL. | July 21, 2013 at 10:27 am

Yes, IIRC you are right. But some of her direct family and possibly her mother (I don’t remember) are from Haiti, and French or Creole French are their native language(s). An American child raised in a home where a second language is used predominantly by the family at home will learn both English and the second “home” language. Jeantel likely does speak both English and French or Creole French – that is not a stretch by any means. And anyone living in Miami should pick up some basic Spanish, especially if they have lived there their whole life. IMHO

Does anyone know if Chris Matthews is really a man? Put his brain in a woman’s body, and he would be just another dingy kumbaya librarian type. Batty as hell, but within the boundaries of what one would expect to encounter in everyday life. As a woman, he could be Nancy Pelosi or any of a dozen other libwit fools in congress.

But as a man? Wow. He’s beyond weird.

I’ve got a hunch that Chris’ throwing arm would make obummer look like Nolan Ryan.

He should commit seppuku for all stupid people everywhere.

“Is Rachel Jeantel stupid?” Piers Morgan asked Larry. To which I would have responded, “Is that a Rhetorical Question?”

I hate to say it, but Piers appeared correct in the point he was trying to make.

But I am sick of this “unarmed teenager”. So if someone is raping Piers’ daughter, he will leave him alone because he is unarmed? Maybe he should give him a gun to make things fair?

Baker in reply to mzk. | July 21, 2013 at 11:48 am

If you are referring to the ‘Do you think RJ is stupid?’ mentioned in the above comments then perhaps you are right in the point he was trying to make but it was a crude way to approach making that point. He was trying to get Elder to fall into a trap where Piers could rattle off various details about RJ he IMPLIES make it obvious the she is not.

An appropriate answer should/could have been: “Not knowing RJ and her background I can not make an assessment on whether she is stupid or not but I can tell you that some of the things she has expressed are stupid in my opinion.”

Calling someone ‘stupid’ is typically a bad position to take at any time in an argument. Saying their actions, words, arguments, conclusions, etc. are stupid is another matter.

el polacko in reply to mzk. | July 21, 2013 at 2:20 pm

this ‘unarmed teen’ thing is bugging me too. are they now advocating the arming of teens?? i thought that this same crowd was anti-gun.

How many people were screaming at Larry Elder to ask Britboy, after his contention that Rachel spoke 3 languages, “if she speaks 3 languages then why can’t she READ cursive”? Lost opportunities.

The correct response to Piers Morgan’s silly question about Rachel Jenteal speaking 3 languagues “fluently” — if her English is any measure of her communication skills, she’s illiterate in all three languages.

BannedbytheGuardian in reply to ZurichMike. | July 21, 2013 at 3:09 am

The correct response is to ask how a person can sign something they cannot read.

As evidence it should have been thrown out immediately. or the writer brought in to testify .

I’m not sure why anyone would want to throw out this evidence. It’s not evidence of the 2/26/12 event itself but of RJ’s credibility based on a narrative of her involvement and her statements subsequent to the event. (Of course I can see why the prosecution might wish it didn’t exist but the information is still out there and could be addressed without the document itself.)

Personally I don’t see anything wrong with what she did as far as the creation of document. (Not the content but the document itself.) It appears she did not actually put pen to paper but that she composed it and had a trusted friend actually write it out. That leaves open the fact that the friend may have helped in the composition but I suggest that the letter itself essentially expresses what RJ wanted to say. In any case she evidently signed it and evidently dispatched it in some way to TM’s mother.

Chrissy Matthews, you do not speak for me. But let me apologize to all blacks for being kept on the poverty plantation by the nanny-state Democrat policies that have enslaved generations to their new white masters in government.

If I hear another person say that being a black teenager is enough to put you at risk of being followed by a white guy and getting into an “unfortunate incident” just because you’re black (thank you Obama) I think my head will explode.

I agree with much of what Larry Elder has so say, but once emailed him criticizing a point he made in an article.

He wrote back and was very gracious about it. Nice guy.

And he was bang-on here.

At the 2:46 mark in the Piers clip, he tries to goad Mr. Elders with a very loaded question regarding Miss Jentile: “Do you think she’s stupid, Larry? Do you thinks she’s stupid, Larry?”
Elders deftly ignored the question, and at the same time was able to make his point that the number one problem in America is that the unemployment rate for Black Americans is fifty percent.
Elders did miss a great opportunity to respond to Piers when asked “Trayvon Martin was not committing any crime in that neighborhood, was he Larry?” Elders said no, but should have said “Trayvon wasn’t until he assaulted George Zimmerman.” Opportunity lost. Otherwise, I think he bested the verbose sissy Brit.

CreepyHoarseFecka | July 21, 2013 at 12:07 pm

Speaking of disinformation and hidden agendas. You may want to read up about Piers Morgan and his history within in the British Press.

From Wikipedia “Morgan was fired as Editor of the Daily Mirror on 14 May 2004 after authorising the newspaper’s publication of photographs allegedly showing Iraqi prisoners being abused by British Army soldiers from the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment.[16] Within days the photographs were shown to be crude fakes. Under the headline “SORRY.. WE WERE HOAXED”, the Mirror responded that it had fallen victim to a “calculated and malicious hoax” and apologised for the publication of the photographs.”

Also “In November 2012 Morgan was criticised in the official findings of the Leveson Inquiry, when Lord Leveson stated that comments made in Morgan’s testimony about phone hacking “clearly prove is that he was aware that it was taking place in the press as a whole and that he was sufficiently unembarrassed by what was criminal behaviour that he was prepared to joke about it”.

And you thought Nancy Grace was sleezy.

Piers Morgan once fell off a Segway, breaking three ribs. This from the man who, as editor for the Daily Mirror several years earlier, ran the headline “You’d have to be an idiot to fall off, wouldn’t you Mr President,” when George Bush fell off one.

Also, his full name is Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan. Pughe? Really?

So I don’t even know why we’re supposed to take him seriously at all.

🙂

Bruce Hayden in reply to Amy in FL. | July 23, 2013 at 1:32 am

Met the guy who was president of Segway at the time that GWB fell off one of their products (not the inventor who apparently went off into a canyon and died, but the guy who took the company over). We were at a firm retreat, and his company was doing the same thing. Met when I had talked one of the security guys to let me ride one. Great fun. He told of getting the call on, I think, a Sunday, and deciding to take the blame for the mishap. Apparently, GWB bailed when he almost ran over a kid, or something like that. And, his father was cropped from the shot, standing on another Segway looking on.

Learned a couple of interesting things about them that night. The “key” that you need to plug into the steering column controls the speed that the Segway will run, except that there is a special operations version that will do maybe 40 mph. Special operations operators can apparently jump them 4 feet, and shoot while moving at speed. This guy had crashed one, taking it, fairly quickly, down a flight of stairs, and had broken some ribs. He showed us on the security guard’s machine how to go up and down them.

EyesWideOpen | July 21, 2013 at 1:19 pm

The “problem” of:

Being a young black male who’s innocently minding his own business and posing no threat to anyone getting stalked, hunted down, and killed by a vigilante white (or pseudo-white) racist murderer…

…is about #996 on the list of “top 1000 issues facing young black men”. Right behind #995 which is: “broccoli or cauliflower? Which one goes better raw with ranch for the appetizer tray?”

The vast majority of crime (per capita) is intra-racial and black-on-black. Of inter-racial violent crime, black-on-white far far outnumbers the opposite. The hyperbolic rants about black kids “dying just for walking while black” are utter nonsense as several level-headed commentators have pointed out. That’s not what happened here and it almost never is. Dear African-American community: heal thyself first and “profiling” will never be an issue for you.

LukeHandCool | July 21, 2013 at 2:11 pm

Larry, bringing a can of “Whoop Ass” to the studio.

I can’t believe Larry isn’t a nationally known figure.

We love him here in L.A.! He is a good-humored gentleman and a Mensch of the highest order.

On his radio program, he once told the touching story of how his mother taught him to see the good in people and not just view things in black and white (or black vs. white).

When his mother was pregnant with Larry, she and Larry’s father were bumped from a flight in favor of a white couple. She said the airline employee was very embarrassed and ashamed at what he’d been ordered to do. He went to get a chair for the pregnant woman to sit down and then went to get her coffee, apologizing all the while. Most people experiencing that would focus on the negative aspects alone, but she was touched by the white man whose conscience was bothering him.

elder had many good points to make but the were mostly lost in his mile-a-minute shouting. style counts.

Carol Herman | July 21, 2013 at 4:14 pm

Dee Dee is certainly calculating! She knew she was on the phone with Trayvon, when Trayvon spotted Zimmerman. And, she knew Trayvon intended to stun Zimmerman (by punching him in the nose). Trayvon also wanted Zimmerman on the ground, so he could pound his head into the cement. And, he also beat him with his fists. (But the medical examiner, Dr. Bao “didn’t do hands.” And, the medical examiner flunked getting evidence. Why? Because the State didn’t want it!)

Now, back to Dee Dee. How much was she worth to Trayvon’s parents? (MILLIONS $$$) But they’re not sharing that wealth with her. And, if Piers Morgan didn’t have her one, she’d have fallen “silently into that good night.”

Yes, it’s always interesting to see the makeup artists, off stage, doing their work. Dee Dee appeared better than she did on the stand. And, the makeup artist(s) dealt with her thick neck. Without even getting screen credit.

Since Dee-Dee is definitely calculating … it just a matter of time before she reaches out to demand the money she thinks she deserves. Obviously, though, if she does it through correspondence, she’ll need to dictate her thoughts to a “trusted friend” who can write in cursive.

Maybe, ahead, the National Enquirer will produce headlines?

Oh, by the way, my definition of stupid … is when you give away millions to someone else … and, they just fart in your general direction.

“I am a black male who grew up in the inner city of Atlanta and no one ever followed me in a mall. I don’t recall any doors clicking when I crossed the street. And I never had anyone clutching their handbag when I got on an elevator. I guess having two awesome parents who taught me to be a respectful young man paid dividends.” — Allen West

Boom.
