Very weird reaction from peoples who had no experience or even knowledge with MT or her policies. Perhaps the people of Nth England can be aggrieved for she closed the chapter of Industrial Revolution . I had ancestors who saw the writing on the wall in 1850 & left the North. Jobs were disappearing then.
But perhaps a journalist over at the Telegrapbh described it best by stating that these celebrating her death were acting out the very roles she had given them. If we did not believe the left the unions the welfare class were just plain awful then we can see it clearly now.
In 1990, Thatcher was stabbed in the back by members of her own party – the equivalent of Americas’ RINOs – ostensiblly for her stubborn opposition to the European Union. Here’s what she said at the time:
