Twila Barnes, the Cherokee genealogist who has been so instrumental in uncovering Elizabeth Warren’s ethnic deception, has a final pre-election post, I Am Blessed:
I have been blessed with a tremendous amount of support while involved in the Elizabeth Warren genealogy research. Today I would like to say thank you.
To the members of the team who have worked on this with me, quietly in the background, thank you. Without you, there is no way I, alone, could have gotten as much research done as quickly as we did working together. I am truly blessed to be able to do what I love with such a great group of people.
To the Cherokee members of the group, Cherokees Demand Truth from Elizabeth Warren, thank you for putting your faith in me as a spokesperson. I know many of you are Democrats but despite that fact, you were not willing to sacrifice your integrity in order to support someone you know was/is being untruthful. I truly believe that we can, together, make a difference, even if it sometimes doesn’t feel like it. Keep the faith!
To the non-Cherokee members of the group, Cherokees Demand Truth from Elizabeth Warren, thank you for joining us and offering your support to us. Hopefully you have been able to learn more about real Cherokees in the process and will continue to be standing with us as we continue our quest to “demand truth from Elizabeth Warren.”
To Kathleen, Karen, David, Heather, Jennifer, Tresa, Cynthia, Donna, Mike, Jaime, Joe, Cole, Sioux, Jo Ann, Barbara, Robin, Ali, Bill, and Scott – thank you for being there when things got tough and when I needed to hear an encouraging word. You all are awesome and I am honored to count you as friends. (No last names needed because you know who you are!)
And last but not least, thank you to my readers. Hopefully you learned how genealogy can prove or disprove family lore as well as how crazy some people are about clinging to their fabricated stories of Cherokee ancestry, no matter what the evidence says.
Whatever happens, we all owe Twila a debt of gratitude for fighting the good fight against a shameless monied politician who doesn’t even have the common decency to show contrition for exploiting a nation and people in so callous and calculating a manner.
It’s a fight which will go on regardless of the result tomorrow.

Thank you Twyla. You’ve done a great job exposing an Affirmative Action liar.
Bill, as you know, from time to time I’ve emailed you a bit of proofreading. In this particular case, I’m going to make my suggestion public:

Just read this article about Obama. He and Ms Warren are cut from the same bolt of cloth. Thank you to all of you who help expose them.

Twyla, thank you.
Twyla Barnes has been a model of courage and integrity on this issue. She has no partisan axe to grind, her concern has only and always been the truthfulness or lack thereof of Warren’s claims of ancestry.
Certainly this has at times caused her pain, to be pressured, criticized, and even ridiculed by those she had long considered friends and allies. Yet she has borne all that with grace and dignity, with a steadfast and singleminded devotion to the truth.
Thanks seems woefully inadequate.
It’s a shame (but no surprise) the Globe has ignored all the hard work from Twyla Barnes and the Prof. Of course, they have now officially endorsed Warren. But incredibly, one of their reasons was her ‘superior character’. How might Twyla Barnes reply???
