16 seconds cannot change 16 years

16 seconds cannot change 16 years

The video below (h/t Hot Air) is getting a lot of exposure.

It presents, in 16 seconds, religious freedom analogies.

But it will make no impact with the Sandra Flukes of the world, who view free birth control as a human right. Someone has to be forced to buy it for them. And if that someone just happens to be a Catholic institution … tell me again why you hate women?

Free stuff now trumps religious liberty. Multiple generations have been raised from childhood to believe that. Sixteen seconds cannot change sixteen years of indoctrination.

But good video, nonetheless:

I think it is a motivating-the-base video, not a hearts-and-minds video. I don’t even know how effective it would be with the knee-jerk-vote-democrat Catholics.

Unfortunately, we pretty much do force vegetarians to buy hamburger for others. School lunch programs, food stamps, etc.

It MIGHT cause a thought to flower, which is all we could hope for among the thoughtless.

Let’s compromise. The taxpayers will subsidize condoms (because “friends with benefits” refuse to accept responsibility) in exchange for banning elective abortion and strictly limiting abortion in every instance other than when the mother’s life (not welfare) is threatened.

Not just any birth control method, but specifically condoms, because we are also concerned with the spread of HIV and other STDs which promiscuous behavior promotes.

So, we preserve individual dignity, an intrinsic value of human life, and promote a healthier population (because health care reform does not address causal issues).

Americans sacrificed more to force recognition of universal dignity and end slavery. Surely we can afford and agree to bribe men and women who reject accepting responsibility for their own actions. Everyone has a vested interest in preserving an intrinsic value of human life.

The ironic thing is that birth control advocates always seem to be personally or physically unattractive women who probably have a difficult time finding a sex partner. But then, when you’re the type that has to settle for drunks at closing time, maybe birth control is more important than the rest of us might think.

Thinking about it? — I am now all-in for free birth control.

Catholic bashing by the left is nothing new. Just read the New York Times and it’s pervasive left-wing anti-Catholicism will be plain. One day, Catholics will say “no more” and “no mas.”

Imagine what this country would be like if the Catholic population was unified and voted as a bloc?

There is too much diversity within the Church herself, with everything from Tridentine Mass aficionados to Father Michael Pfleger. They can’t agree on the so-called universal church, they sure aren’t going to vote together. I do think that the democrat-voting Catholics tend to be less devout.

“Free stuff now trumps religious liberty.”

Why? It’s what fascists do.

Free stuff always trumps liberty for the simple minded gimme girls and their ilk (yes, I mean you, Ms. Fluke!).

This is a comment following Ann Coulter’s hilarious dogging of Kieth Olbermann and his Cornell degree claims. (see below.)

I just checked Fluke’s Wiki page: “She graduated from Cornell University’s Program in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.”

That degree is offered in the relatively exclusive private Ivy League Cornell Arts & Science college.

Apparently at Cornell, a minor is listed on your transcript, but that is not your degree.

I know Flluke has a B.S., which is given in the N.Y. State — public, non-Ivy League — college located at Cornell. That college is now called “Human Ecology” and was not all that long ago called “Cow College” or “The Ag School” (abbreviation for of course Agriculture.). Ann Coulter calls it the “Old MacDonald College.”

Agriculture to me seems like a valuable thing to study. The gender thing seems pretty worthless. The leaving out of the state school degree is also … faking.

It’s a modest gambit — obscuring your college origins. Many Cornell aggies do it. It parellels to a lesser degree (hahaha) Warren’s American Indian claims.

Fluke’s B.S. (perfect abbreviation!)is from the Ag school is in Policy Analysis and Management.

Democrats and Catholics: epic lovers’ spat!

They’ve been in each others’ vest pockets for the last century. In the last 50 years, the Church (I’m Catholic) has gotten radicalized, with bishops who loooove Dem “Social Justice.”

So Catholics winked at Democrat love of abortion and birth control. Democrats’ gave lip service to respecting it.

They had a real sweetheart deal, Dems and Catholic leaders. Then Obama decided to go after the Catholic Church on birth control.

Moral of the story: the bishops and other Catholic “leaders” have only themselves to blame.

That’s right, and businesses often have to do things that may be against the religion of their owner, such as serving blacks.
