The 5000

The 5000

This afternoon I received my 5000th follower on Twitter.

If you are on Twitter, you can follow me at @LegInsurrection.  If you are not on Twitter, get on it.

Facebook switched everyone to the new Timeline view.  You can “like” LI’s Facebook page, which has just over 2300 followers.

There are 4300 registered users here, up from The 500 in July.

Thanks to the many people who have made donations / subscriptions and used the Amazon store links in the sidebar, it really helps.

There are some behind-the-scenes things that need to be done here, including upgrading the server package due to increased traffic.  I also have some more ideas which hopefully I’ll be able to roll out in the next month or two.

If you haven’t noticed, you now can rate the Video of the Day, just under the Video.

That sounds a little racy there, Rags! Be careful, Mrs. Jacobson reads these comments!

A long time ago, when I first started working in Tokyo, the gorgeous receptionist in our office would ask me what I did over the weekend. The first time I told her, “I went to the beach.”

The Japanese are very group-oriented and sometimes can’t fathom a person doing things on their own. So, she asked me who I went with. When I told her I went by myself, she asked, incredulously, “You went to the beach … by yourself!?”

Fast forward a week later, Monday morning, and she again asked me what I had done over the weekend.

    “I went to the beach.”

    “Who did you go with?”

    “I just went by myself.”

“You went to the beach by yourself?? Again??!”

Then she said something in such a way that I knew right then it would stick in my mind forever. She looked at me like I was some curious, inscrutable creature (perhaps exotic?) and after drawing in a long vocal breath, slowly uttered,

“What … an in-ter-es-ting lifestyle you have …”

I imagine these days that a number of law professors at Cornell, upon hearing that Rush Limbaugh is again raving about the good Professor to millions of listeners, must be saying, at least silently to themselves, “What an in-ter-es-ting lifestyle William has …”

LukeHandCool (who, within a couple of weeks, made sure the receptionist had an interesting lifestyle heh heh).

The japanese lady was just trying to remind you of the dangers of going to the beach in Japanalone..

      Tsunami is Big Big Wave.

Ergo the Japanese student in Alabama who was told to put his hands up . He did not understand & was promptly shot dead.

.But yes an interesting lifestyle they have in Alabama also.

In all -be nice to the natives & listen.

The last time I checked I noticed you were getting close to the 5,000 mark … I was going to mention it and then BAM!, it happened already!

Congratulations, Professor! To the toppermost of the bloggerposts!

I always use Amazon thru you, even though I don’t always purchase. BTW, Facebook did not make me change to the timeline; still with the old newsfeed. Following on twitter also. Enjoying your work!

5000 on twitter, also made Limbaugh about a half hour ago, AGAIN

Rush Limbaugh just mentioned your article on air. Great job Professor!

I got….8 🙂
I think.

Perhaps we should start referring to the good Professor as “General Jacobson” of the “Legal Insurrection Army.”

Congrats, Professor! Been reading your site for months. Just registered so I could participate, as I might have a few words to say now and again.

You have a great site here, but if the Romney bots keep attacking regular readers the way they are, you’re going to lose people. I’m sick of making comments and being attacked because I refuse to fall down and worship him. Sorry, but the war against anyone who doesn’t support Romney, and refuses to do so, needs to end. I didn’t even bother reading you the past two days because of the attacks of the Romney bots.

I wanted a way to complain about it, and this gives me the perfect platform.

Love the twitter feed.

    Girl! Toughen UP…!!!

Part of expressing an opinion on a comment thread is knowing that you will get chaff if it doesn’t follow the herd.

    Make a muscle.

How to shoot down Romney supporters:
    – Ask them questions like: How do Mormons like it that Romney implemented gay marriage in Massachusetts (by executive order) at the same time Mormons were fighting for marriage in California? What DO Mormons believe about marriage?
    – Post links to Romney’s liberal actions, lies, record, etc. to refute them.

Hehe – Peeps just dislike everything I say. Makes it more fun & keeps things sharper.

For example I don’t stalk posters but vaguely remember arguments.

I am wondering where the lady who wrote reams of praise for US Special Security Guys is .

Also my ealier Magaret Tatcher posts are bearing fruition . Not only did Prof pick it up but Obama also . (I told you he reads the blog ).

Maldives /Malvinas – Jheeze what a idiot. Even Margaret in her dementia knows that & much more -hence the tight guard.

The brit blogs are having a ball.

I follow the Professor…(ahem)…(cough).
Sorry.
Just clearing my throat.

Excellent blog. Congratulations and it was exciting hearing Rush rave about your blog post today.

If Rush mentions you a few more times numbers will really increase.

Bill Jacobsen has 100,000,000 % more chance of influencing the world than Mr limbaugh.

If Alan Dershowitz can hold debates in cities across the globe so can Mr Jacobsen in future.

    Rush has no chance .

    Go big go global .

I could use some advice on how to best utilize the amazon stuff on sites like setup here. google adsense kicked me because some of the targeted ads interested my users so they clicked the ads. even bought some some stuff. but clicking the ads is actually wrong I guess…. and google allows NO recourse and its a permanent lifetime ban.
