Like watching a wreck.

RexGrossmanSpiral | January 24, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Well, that does it for me. The announcer introduced the address – all I need to hear.

Cowboy Curtis | January 24, 2012 at 9:02 pm

There simply is not enough scotch in the state of Florida to make watching it bearable.

[…] Now take your dramamine and watch Obama lie to the nation in this election year. Share HillaryIs44: […]

Obviously, the “audience” was NOT told to hold their applause till the end.

Lemme see. Obama says Bush wrecked everything, he is gonna fix it, but he needs 4 more years and $5 to $8 Trillion more money to fundamentally change America, end racism and usher in the “Age of Aquarius.”

Same old same old…

Did they issue barf bags to everyone in attendance?

They’ve got some good gold pieces on QVC for California Gold Rush Day. And you can flip to HSN too. Much nicer to watch these stations and better for the intellect.

A state of the union speech should be a speech about statesmanship, not partisan political theater and electioneering. If I watched I’d probably throw my television across the room. I don’t think insurance would cover that; best not to watch.

It would help if the President laid off his stash just before his speeches. Obviously, the “Main Dude” is having one bad trip…

I watched a couple minutes. TV is still on its stand. And Obama? Jeff Bridges “The Dude” could give a more cognitive and coherent speech.

Newt is watching this and thinking, Obama and his campaign are not going to agree to a single debate if I’m the nominee.

Still spiking the OBL football?

Speaking of football, it is never too late to launch that regular football report. Auburn looks like it will be an SEC powerhouse again next season. Anything has got to be better than listening to Obama drone on endlessly…

Didn’t watch, but this was stated:

“Ask yourselves what you can do to bring back jobs to your country and your country will do everything it can to help you succeed,” he said.

Well Obama, you could begin by NOT awarding military aircraft contracts to be built by Brazilians

OH and something about a recent pipeline rejection, too.

$3.00 bills have more credibility, then this bozo has..

Seeing as how he will be benefiting so much from the killing of the Keystone pipeline, did Buffet, through his secretary, offer to pay off some of our debt, or at least pay his back taxes?

All children should be forced to undergo brainwashing through high school. Don’t have the funds to have your kid homeschooled? Tough luck.

I’ve been out. Did I miss anything?

Oh, wow. Boehner basically says that the lights are off and nobody is home.

You missed a bunch of baloney.

I’m glad Daniels is not running.

any of y’all having issues with Facebook tonight?

This is why they don’t play baseball in January. This speech and a Mariners game would put the whole country in a coma.

I watched it and I’m still waiting for the State of the Union address to start. What I saw was just another stump speech where he bangs on Republicans.

Put the Republicans back on the right side and the Dems on the left. I’m sure Axelplouffe recognized the OPTICS of Dems leaping to their feet (under orders), thus obscuring the seated Republicans, would leave the uninformed viewer with a positive impression. Who was the brilliant Republican who agreed to that seating arrangement? And, the Fox camera coverage was on a par with that of cbsnbcabc.

    McCoy2k in reply to logos. | January 25, 2012 at 12:17 am

I’m astounded the Republicans let themselves be used as props for what was basically a staged campaign event. At the last minute they should have walked out, so the Democrats wouldn’t have the time to fill the seats.

I never watch this guy. My blood pressure can’t take it. Does this idiot not know the SOS is to report to congress the accomplishments he has done during the year, not what he wanted to do if only he had more co-operation from republicans and more money, so please give him same so he can further destroy the country. His whole mantra is the dims co-operated, why can’t the republicans. Never mind the dims are his zombies.

If republicns were smart (which will never happen) they would look at any proposal (sitting together) the dims have from all sides and top to bottom. Even then they will be scuppered. But no, their whole idea is to be perceived as co-operative and trying to get along and maybe the media won’t destroy them. They need to wake up and realize that destructio of republicans IS the goal of the media. The base must be knashing their teeth at this ridiculous piece of idiotcy.
