I’m, so in love with me

I’m, so in love with me

Via WaPo:

All told, Obama held four fundraisers in New York on Thursday, flying here after unveiling a new proposal in Orlando, related to boosting tourism.

While his four remaining Republican rivals held another televised debate in South Carolina, Obama was filling his war chest by talking with influential Jewish voters, yukking it up with celebrities like Lee and even breaking into a line of the Rev. Al Green classic “Let’s Stay Together” at an appearance at Harlem’s famous Apollo Theater.

I refuse to listen to that man sing. I don’t have any desire to induce sickness on myself (IYKWIMAITYD). 😉

I LOVE Al Green. Love, love, LOVE Al Green.

So I can’t watch this video.

But here are some lyrics, updated for this occasion:

    I I I,
I’m so in love with me,
    Whatever I want to see,
    Is all right with you,
    ‘Cause I
    make you feel
    so brand-new,
Being around me is all I do
Is what I want to do
    Let’s,
    let’s worship me together,
    Worshiping me
    whether,
    whether,
times are bad or bad, or bad or bad,
    oh oh,
    why
    somebody
    might want to vote Republican,
Is something that I never can,
    oh,
    never can
    see —
    You’d never do that to
    me
    (would you baby?)
    Cause,
    being around me
    is all you see,
Is what you want to do,
    Let’s
    Let’s
    worship me together,
    worshiping me
    whether,
    whether,
times are bad, or bad, or bad, or bad,
    oh oh
    Let’s …
Let’s worship me together ….. (repeat and fade)

It actually scans pretty well. I suggest reading the lyrics while listening to the inimitable, fabulous Al Green sing the song.

This guy is pure evil, as in there is no good in him.

what a fitting song for a narcissist like he is.

America has been infatuated with black men who get up on stage and entertain us for quite some time. Does anyone think we’ll make the distinction this year between entertainment and deception?

Quote of the Day, from Squeaky at TheGatewayPundit:

I’d normally tell him not to give up his day job, but……..

This could be another revenue stream when he leave office, considering how little some singers can actually sing.

Here is a palate cleanser, I found it at HillBuzz and immediately thought of our good professor who is in Newt’s camp. This is a great pro-Newt video and it is really catchy, you’ll be dancing all day!

“Vote Newt”.

I would be very happy to consider buying his records if he would like to leave governmental decision-making and go into singing.

Meamwhile during some random MSNBC segment while I was going up channels, I heard Ed Schultz complaining about some republican canidate “going to Wall Street Robber Barrons” for campaign funds (presumably Romney, all though all I head was the bit in quotes basically.)
Because…you know…Obama doesn’t have any corperate donors, or need to raise campaign…oh wait.

After running our country into the ground, Obama has become a pathetic, desperate man who has nothing to offer his audience but sleazy crooning in hopes they will be wooed into keeping him around for another four years.

Ugh.

Normally I’d advise someone to not quit their day job, however…

Gag, retch, hurl.
And that’s just at the thought of watching it.
I refuse to watch comrade downgrade. Reading transcripts is as far as I will go.

I reflexively sound like Archie Bunker these days when I hear him talk as I grimace and moan, “Oh, Jeeeeez ….”

“… Obama was filling his war chest by talking with influential Jewish voters …”

Mini-poll:

Are these Jewish voters:

A) Completely clueless and historically illiterate?

OR

B) Trying to inoculate themselves from “Israel Firster” charges?

What would he have to do to lose their vote if Reverend Wright, his horrible treatment of Netanyahu, bias in favor of the Palestinians in negotiations, etc., etc., won’t shake their blind faith?

Okay, maybe they can’t be accused of being Israel Firsters … but what is Israel, chopped liver?

When I saw the headline I thought it was another post about Newt. Then I read the little text and chose not to listen – a bell cannot be unrung.
