“it’s way too early in Libya’s transition to be shouting about victories”

David Dayen at Firedoglake, where the professional left is not sure Libya represents victory:

Replacing a brutal government with a government that turns a blind eye to brutality doesn’t really count as a success, in my book….

The point here is that it’s way too early in Libya’s transition to be shouting about victories.  Especially with the evidence that is coming out.

That’s what the professional left is saying. but when push comes to shove, they’ll have Obama’s back, because they have nowhere else to go.

The american Left is extremely idealistic . They have no actual experience in anything even remotely centre left & have lived on old dreams .

They believe in this international co op stuff . They love the Brotherhood notion -even if there is a Mslim in front of it.

Ironically the main instigators of this action were the right wing Bertulesconi Sarkozy & Cameron -all because they NEED Libya’s unencumbered debt free economy as energy supplier & market.

Britain had printed billions og Libyan currency ready to hand out as dowry.

This old saying must never have penetrated the brains of any of the left…..

“Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t”

There is no victory here.

Another Obama masterstroke, in foreign policy:

Democracy Is the ‘Enemy’ In Post-Mubarak Egypt.

Radical Islamic group leader looks to instate Shariah law..

I’m quite certain the MSM and Democrats will be mocking Obama’s “Mission Accomplished” moment in the days and months ahead.

I’ve been waiting patiently for the MSM to turn on Obama, to treat him with the contempt he deserves.

Hasn’t happened. And isn’t likely to happen.

So replacing one bunch of blood-thirsty, 7th century troglodytes with another is now considered “victory?”

You gotta wonder what planet these people live on…

Most of those butchered early on were blacks, murdered by Arabs because they were black, most of those now being murdered are of the same tribe as Gaddafi.

Don’t worry, once the Left realizes that the genocidal murderers they’ve helped put in power in Libya are imposing Sharia Law, they’ll fall over each other apologizing for them.

Doesn’t matter how it turns out. It’ll still be known as the Arab spring, and we’ll still be expected not to notice.

They will continue to cite it as a blaring success until we get a Republican president, then suddenly they will ‘notice’ that it has devolved into Islamist theocracy and blame the Republican president.

Replacing a dictator who was relatively easy to control by means of bribes and threats with a bunch of uncontrollable, probably insane, radical Islamists can hardly be called a victory!
