Jindal for Perry

Jindal for Perry

This strikes me as more significant than Pawlenty for Romney, because it represents the future of the Republican Party coming out for Perry, whereas Pawlenty in many ways represented the past.  Via CNN:

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is backing Rick Perry for president, a major endorsement for the Texas governor as the campaign for the Republican nomination enters the crucial fall stretch of the primary calendar, a source tells CNN.

Jindal is on his way to Florida and will be Perry’s guest at Monday night’s “Tea Party Republican Debate” broadcast on CNN from Tampa, the source said. Jindal is expected to formally make the announcement prior to the debate.

I’m a Bobby Jindal fan.  And I still love the video I posted the first time I mentioned him at the blog in November 2008, Bobby Jindal 2012.

If this is a trend, it will be bad news for Romney.

Most people remember Jindal from his State of the Union rebutal. But I remember Bobby Jindal from Hurricane Ike.

I remember how Jindal took to the podium and names all the hurricane shelters, said what each parrish was doing to prepare, and stood giving Louisianians instructions on what to do to prepare for 45 minutes without looking at one note or turning back to ask somone one else to provide the information.

Jindal is one of the smartest state governors to have come down the pike in a long time, and I would be squarely in his camp if he were to ever run for POTUS. He has literally turned the corruption around in Louisiana. There once was a saying “While New Orleans is under water, Louisiana is under indictment.” That no longer applies.

Perry to Romney
“I’ll see your T-paw and raise you a Jindal”

Yeah…I think Romney knows he’s in trouble. That Grannyscare flier he circulated in Florida doesn’t help him either.

Jindal is obviously a racist.

Lets go Lombardi Rule!

Already today I saw on NBC on local noon news in Sacramento CALIFORNIA a Democrat operative jabbing Perry say that all you had to do as a Republican to be elected in Texas is to not be a Democrat. “Well, Duh,” as the kids say. That was right after the Ann Curry-almost-in-a-chador Ahmedinejad puff piece.

Attention DNC: check Gaddhafi’s notes on how to successfully leave town. He is still working on the asylum part, though.

Thank you, Professor!

If Jindal’s support “represents the future of the Republican Party coming out for Perry,” then heaven help us because Jindal, the anti-corruption king of Louisiana has come out in favor of the corrupt crony capitalist of Texas. The future of the GOP does not lie with crony capitalism.

Rush Limbaugh is right. It is pointless to make primary endorsements.
