Spotted by reader Bob in Mountlake Terrace, WA. If the drafters of the Bill of Rights had known, they would have worded the 1st Amendment to read as follows:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech [fn], or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.Fn: Bumper stickers on pick-up trucks excluded.”
