Another Obama speech tonight

Another Obama speech tonight

Or is it a press conference, not that there’s much of a difference.

Via NY Times:

President Obama, continuing to make use of his unique White House bully pulpit, will address the nation on Monday night on the “stalemate over avoiding default and the best approach to cutting deficits,” Jay Carney, the press secretary, announced in a Twitter message late in the afternoon.

The president’s decision to intervene comes after House Republican leaders pushed for a vote Wednesday on a two-step plan that would allow the federal debt limit to immediately be raised by about $1 trillion and tie a second increase next year to the ability of a new joint Congressional committee to produce more deficit reduction.

But top Senate Democrats called the proposal a “non-starter” and said they would advance their own plan to reduce the deficit by $2.7 trillion and raise the debt ceiling until after next year’s elections, saying it met the conditions that Republicans had laid down during the ongoing debt fight.

 This oughta be interesting.

I suspect that Obama believes that if he tells one more time that most of us are greedy bigots, we’ll buy it this time. We get it already! You want to tax us out of existence and control every aspect of our lives! We got it the first hundred times you told us!

Just remember The Weather Underground Manifesto and it’s author

and the 1966 Cloward-Piven paper from some of the same people

Then remember what you were thinking on or about Sept 18, 2008 when the market was about what it was today but dropped to DJI 6,500 give or take by March 9, 2009.

In passing note which Obama friends and noted Authors were lecturing and educating the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt during the year before the “Spontaneous Democracy Uprisings”. Ask me again if I’ll stampede?

Aside from his wife and mother-in-law, I wonder how many dozens of people are going to tune in to watch it?

I like how he still thinks he’s a great orator.

[…] has racked up more spending and added more to the deficit than anyone in history is now going to lecture everyone else (again) about the need to “eat our peas”, take our medicine, do it his way, listen to […]

Having been forced to look up those nostrils so many times, I can only marvel at how he manages to do such a thorough job of nose hair removal. I’m no piker on that particular aspect of personal hygiene myself but Obama takes it to a new historic standard. He must have a highly-skilled “nose hair tsar” on his staff or something.

That’s so funny and you’re probably right. Getty does close ups of his face. He waxes his eyebrows. Today I noticed they are dyeing them black because you can see grey hairs at their base. His hair is in constant flucation between lesser and greater shades of grey. When they make him up, I swear they put a little eyeliner on his bottem lids. He may have had a slight nose job like his wife did. Girls know these things.

Well, he doesn’t do much besides demagogue and play golf, so I guess he’s got lots time to groom his cilia.

This oughta be interesting.

Not to me.

I couldn’t care less what this guy has to say anymore.

I keep remembering Bush 41 being denied TV time because they said it was political and not Presidential newsworthy stuff. How long till Obama manages to “jump the shark” with these speeches/press conferences.

If you mean “when will they cut him off?”, its never. He’s their darling, the epitome of everything the media has sworn America’s needed for decades. So long as there is a whiff of a prayer that he can talk himself out of a hole (or just mitigate a democrat electoral catastrophe), they’ll give him airtime on demand. He’s their guy, and they will cling to him to the bitter end.

Heh, he wants a do-over from Friday’s fiasco. Expect a kindler, gentler Obama.

Speaking of Friday’s press conference, I did a funny parody of it. I lol ever time I see it which is probably 25 times.
I’m my own best fan 😉

“Another Obama speech tonight.”

“Or is it a press conference, not that there’s much of a difference.”

Haha … Nice!

Juba Doobai! | July 25, 2011 at 7:12 pm

Here’s what he’s gonna say: Blah blah blah blah blah. My predecessor’s fault. Blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. My predecessor’s fault. Blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. My predecessor’s fault. Blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. My predecessor’s fault. Blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. My predecessor’s fault. Blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. My predecessor’s fault. Blah blah blah blah blah.

No questions. Thank you.

I’ll be watching women’s soccer.

SPIKE will be showing 1000 Ways to Die at 9 PM.
Obama will offer the 1000 & 1st way to die

Speaking of Spike I was happy to have finally, after all these years, have figured out all those Vchip/Parental Control nannygate widgets. I put the presidential speeches, the ‘Washington Insider” bloviations, and the MSM editorial “Here’s what you should think” instructions.
I digress – Spike – love the spike network particularly the auto shows that take me back to when America actually manufactured Cars, Appliances, Consumer goods…and things

I’ve discovered the now syndicated “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” re-runs complete with good Vampires Angel and….Spike….and bad demons and vampires and other “Destryers of The Universe”.

The political significance… if there is any…is that here we have the complete “Valley Girl” whose inherent “There can be only one” ability to sort out good from evil is sorely missed in our process of sorting out “D” and “R” BigGovernment Machiavellian …”Vampires”

Or maybe I’ll watch the Epic Scott Carpenter “Escape From New York”?

Has obama ever visited the Nordic nations? You know like Sweden, Finland, Norway? I hear they’re rather nice, this time of year..

MaggotAtBroadAndWall | July 25, 2011 at 7:55 pm

Back by popular demand!!! The one Friday went over so well, I guess this is an encore performance.

aguyfromjersey | July 25, 2011 at 8:09 pm

Maybe his speech went over so well at La Raza, he figured he’ll give it again to the rest of us.

You can pass on the speech. He’ll endorse Harry Reid’s smoke and mirrors. Paul Ryan succinctly dismantles the $2.7 trillion “cuts” here:

Is anyone live-blogging this thing?

“This oughta be interesting.”

Who’s on first?

I’ll take the easy pick-

The “disrespected punk”…back against the wall, lashing out- in an Alinsky trained Harvard grad sorta way..

I think this is as critical of a moment as we’ve seen-

I look forward to the follow-up conversation on Legal_In_Surrection

Cowboy Curtis | July 25, 2011 at 8:55 pm

Everyone seems to feel that way.

Cowboy Curtis | July 25, 2011 at 8:58 pm

okay, looks like Ace drew the short straw and will do it live. The man’s got a stronger stomach than me…must be from all that Val-u-rite vodka and hobo hunting.

Took ten seconds to get to the “It’s Bush’s fault!”. New record.

Juba Doobai! | July 25, 2011 at 9:03 pm

What an ass!

He not only is plagiarizing parts of Dubya’s speeches, he’s blaming Dubya. Blah blah blah blah. My predecessor did it.

Here we go. Obama is appealing to the RINOs to link arms and go after our radical extremist Tea Party House members. Hey bonehead! WE WON THE ELECTION LAST NOVEMBER! YOU LOST!

Now the tired old marxist arguments.

So he is out of ammo. We need to hold the line and break this one-party system right now.

Juba Doobai! | July 25, 2011 at 9:13 pm

This is the same SOB whose policies are putting American citizens out of work who’s talking about them as victims of Washington warfare?

Does this *&*$(&%# have any ideas? Condescending twit!

Man, I can only watch him for seconds at a time. Long enough to be pissed off.

[…] than a “balled-up tube sock” there is not much more to see from fake Obama’s Jell-O press conference speech. Obama will try to grab credit for getting something done even though he is considered by the […]

Well, I lost $5.

It was not the “disrespected punk” speech.

It was the poll tested, cliche filled, talking point saturated, campaign speech.

How deep is that well, anyway?

It’s almost as if he thinks it’s so deep, it goes to China.
