Joe Biden is an Idiot

Joe Biden is an Idiot

I know this isn’t news. But maybe his latest remarks will be – according to the Christian Science Monitor:
Joe Biden says Egypt’s Mubarak no dictator, he shouldn’t step down…… and wonders what the Egyptian protesters want.
Vice President Joe Biden spoke to the PBS NewsHourtonight with the most direct US governent comments yet about the gathering Egypt protests against President Hosni Mubarak’s 29-year reign.

Mr. Biden’s comments are unlikely to be well-received by regime opponents, as they fit a narrative of steadfast US support for a government they want to bring down. About eight protesters and one policeman have died this week as Egypt has sought to bring down the heavy hand of the state against opponents. Since the US provides about $1.3 billion in military aid to Egypt a year, the repressive apparatus of the state is seen by many in Egypt as hand in glove with the US.”

I wonder how Barack Obama will dance around this commentary from his number 2. As an aside, whoever does the PR in the Vice Presidents office should really write a book after this is all done. It will be gold.

It's my understanding that Biden's spokesman is replacing Robert Gibbs. We live in interesting times.

I laughed out loud at what came after your title "Joe Biden is an Idiot" – "I know this isn't news".

Oh Bill … c'mon … "Joe Biden is an idiot"? That sounds like some of that leftie hate-filled vitriol. How about 'embarrassingly ignorant' or 'embarrassingly ill-informed' or 'embarrassingly ignorant' or 'impetuously misguided' or 'sadly lacking in judgment'? All of those are quite accurate as descriptors of our embarrassment of a vice-president, and lack the ad hominem quality of "Joe Biden is an idiot".

We all say things we regret, but it takes a special talent to do it as often as our Vice President.

@ CatLover… Political Correctness is for those with weak minds. Bill said it how it is. Get over it.

Tsar Nicholas probably never figured out what all those pesky anarchists were lobbing bombs about.

Republicans have been relatively silent about the Egypt issue. This Sunday, there will be questions of Boehner and others on the morning shows about this issue. I would expect a simlar attitude to Biden.

I wonder how you'll react to that. I guess they'll all be "idiots" too.

Our geopolitical position stifles our ability to overtly stand for regime change in Egypt. Just the same, the Obama administration, regardless of rhetoric (a fool's diversion), has been pretty cool to Mubarrak – and he's reacted by retrenching.

Careful what you wish for…

All, this was me (Kathleen).

@Jersey McJones, If they have no idea why they're angry in the first place (whether or not it is warranted is a separate issue) then – yeah, that's pretty unreasonably ignorant in my opinion. He should have refrained from commenting if he had no idea what was going on.
