Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Accused of Wanting to Hide Illegal Aliens From Democratic National Convention

Alderman Nicole Lee: “I don’t, first of all, I don’t think that we should be moving people to hide them.”

Chicago will host the 2024 Democratic National Convention from August 19 to 22.

Chicago also has a ton of illegal aliens since it is a sanctuary city.

Optics are everything in politics. Could this be why Mayor Brandon Johnson wanted to open a new illegal alien shelter on the South Side?

Alderman Nicole Lee of the 11th Ward balked at the idea, especially after reading between the lines:

A large empty building nestled between two sets of railroad tracks in an 11th Ward industrial area on the South Side was under consideration to house migrants.

Last week, the Johnson administration informed Alderman Nicole Lee the plan was to move 900 new arrivals out of the Standard Club in the Loop into a new location

“In our initial conversion, there was mention of the DNC. And, like, the timing of it all felt a little odd to me. I don’t, first of all, I don’t think that we should be moving people to hide them. I hope that’s not what the actual case is,” Lee said.

But then Lee told The Chicago Tribune the whole conversation:

Lee had said the proposal to house migrants in an industrial area surrounded by train tracks elicited environmental and safety concerns. But what most disappointed her was the administration’s explanation that the move was because of the planned closure of a downtown migrant shelter before the Democratic National Convention comes to Chicago in August, she said.

“I was told that the location would need renovations, that they needed to get everything done and ready for a July 1 move-in ahead of the DNC,” Lee said Sunday. “It was pretty disturbing. … It seemed that they were down a path, and I’m hoping that we’ve as a city learned a lot of lessons from all of the experiences in the last year with opening shelters.”

Lee also noticed the building wasn’t on her list of suggested shelters. The mayor’s office never contacted the building’s owners about leasing it.

Bajaj Medical, the pharmaceutical company that owns the building, confirmed that no one from Johnson’s office contacted anyone.

The company added it “does not intend to approve any public use of this property.”

Johnson quickly pulled the proposal.

It reminds me of San Francisco hiding the homeless and drugs before President Joe Biden and Chinese Dictator Xi Jinping met in the city.

Time for TX gov. Abbott to start sending Brandon Johnson & Chicago more illegals, after all they are welcome in Chicagoland.

He’s “hiding the decline”.

The muzzie extremists going to be swarming all over biden’s convention. The legacy media will be working double over-time to not broadcast those images.

There goes the master squatting plan, it’s out of the bag now.

I can’t get too upset over putting the illegals out of the way, between some sets of train tracks in a part of the city where nothing is happening. It’s better than having them in the middle of the city where they can bother people. Just don’t move them back after the convention.

Chicago where Democrats resort to hiding Democrats from other Democrats so America won’t see them.

Exactly the sort of cosmetic clean-up for grandees of the Party of Filth that China did before the Olympics. But then, Democrats ape totalitarians they envy.

Shocking, a Democratic mayor wants to hide the facts of Democratic rule. Remember how the homeless disappeared in NY City just before the 92 Democratic Party convention. Or before the 88 GOP Convention in New Orleans. There is a rail overpass on I-10 always has graffiti on it. After repainting the rail bridge, the sheriff had a unit watching it 24 hours a day till after the convention was over.

Heat and humidity in late August…. Democrat Party Presidential Nominating Convention….high crime rate….low morale of LEO and underfunded LEO….Cray Cray Teacher Union….high tensions from longtime residents over illegal immigrants…. single party d/prog rule for decades….internal d/prog dissension at high levels between old-school working class and woke leftists… Gonna be lit in Chicago.
