Hamas Chief Haniyeh’s Three Sons Killed By IDF Were Involved in Hostage Holding and Terrorist Operations

Hamas Chief Haniyeh’s Three Sons Killed By IDF Were Involved in Hostage Holding and Terrorist Operations

Ynet News: “Amir Haniyeh was a squad commander in the terror group’s military wing, while Hazem and Mohammad Haniyeh were lower-ranking operatives.”

The three sons of Hamas terror chief Ismail Haniyeh eliminated in an Israeli airstrike on Wednesday, were involved in holding Israeli hostages and other terrorists activities, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed Wednesday.

The confirmations comes after Arab and Israeli media reported the killing of Hamas chief’s sons and grandsons in Gaza when an Israeli fighter jet hit the car they were driving in.

An Israeli “aircraft struck three Hamas military operatives that conducted terrorist activity in the central Gaza Strip,” the IDF said in press release Thursday. According to the Israel military, the targeted terrorists were the “sons of Ismail Haniyeh, chairman of Hamas’s political bureau.”

“The three operatives that were struck are Amir Haniyeh, a cell commander in the Hamas military wing, Mohammad Haniyeh, a military operative in the Hamas terrorist organization, and Hazem Haniyeh, also a military operative in the Hamas terror organization,” the IDF statement said.

The Israeli news website YNET reported further details of the IDF strike:

Hazem, Amir and Mohammad Haniyeh were killed in an aerial strike on their car. The IDF said they were operatives in Hamas. The terror group said four of Haniyeh’s grandchildren were also killed.

According to the military and the Shin Bet, Amir Haniyeh was a squad commander in the terror group’s military wing, while Hazem and Mohammad Haniyeh were lower-ranking operatives, also in the military wing.

The decision to target the three was made by the IDF after intelligence was received warning of terrorism activity, without the need for approval from the government. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant were not advised of the intention to attack, in advance.

Haniyeh, who lives a life of safety and luxury in the oil-rich Arab state of Qatar, has a large and extended family in Gaza.

The IDF does not have a policy of targeting the family members of wanted terrorists. In fact, one of Haniyeh’s daughters has been receiving medical treatment in Israel despite her father’s hand in the October 7 massacre.

“Whoever hurts us, gets hurt”: Netanyahu warns Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cautioned Iran against carrying out an attack on Israel.

“We are in challenging times. We are in the middle of the war in Gaza which continues in full force,” Netanyahu told a group of air force personnel. “At the same time we continue the non-stop effort to return our hostages, but we are also preparing for scenarios of challenges from other arenas.”

“We have established a simple principle: whoever hurts us, gets hurt. We are preparing to meet the security needs of the State of Israel both in defense and in offense,” he added.

The warning comes amid mounting intelligence that Tehran and its terror proxies in the region are planning a large-scale attack on Israeli soil.

“The US and its allies believe major missile or drone strikes by Iran or its proxies against military and government targets in Israel are imminent,” Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

According to the news outlet. the Iranian attack, expected to take place in coming day, was “a matter of when, not if.”

“The potential assault, possibly using high-precision missiles, may happen in the coming days, the people said, requesting anonymity to discuss confidential matters. It is seen as more a matter of when, not if, one of the people said, based on assessments from US and Israeli intelligence,” Bloomberg noted.

Reported the latest U.S. and Israeli intelligence assessment, the Jerusalem Post wrote Wednesday:

The US and its allies predict a potential Iranian missile or UAV strike against Israel to be imminent, according to a Bloomberg report on Wednesday night, citing sources familiar with intelligence information.

The attack may reportedly occur in the coming days and be carried out by Iran or its proxies in the region.

According to the report, basing themselves on Israeli and US intelligence, the officials discussed the probability that highly precise missiles might be used in the attack to target Israeli military and governmental locations.

Israeli air force holds long-range drill to deter Iran

Aimed at deterring Iran, the Israeli air force conducted an long-range exercise simulating a strike on Iranian targets, media reports on Thursday confirm. The U.S. and Cyprus also took part in the drill which took place in the Mediterranean Sea.

The i24NEWS reports:

The Israel Air Force (IAF) has reportedly conducted a drill simulating the scenario of Iranian attack. The exercise is said to have been held in cooperation with Cyprus and the United States forces, suggested social media reports, including the one posted by military correspondent Doron Kadosh.

The participants are said to have practised long-range attacks, playing out the scenario of retaliation against Iran.

Kadosh wrote: “As part of increasing preparation for Iran’s possible response, which may also be followed by an Israeli response on Iranian soil, in recent days, a joint exercise was carried out with the Cypriot army in the airspace of Cyprus, simulating an air operation and an attack on a remote target.”

“The exercise was designed to simulate an attack in Iran,” read the post.

Kadosh also quoted a senior IDF official saying: “We know and are prepared to act in any arena, and maintain independent abilities to act on our own – we don’t rely on anyone.”

Israeli air force, navy hit Hamas terror targets after troop withdrawal

After withdrawing most of the ground troops from Gaza over the weekend, the IDF kept up the pressure on the Hamas’s terrorist fighting force across the enclave.

The Israeli armed forces we conducting aerial and naval strikes on terrorist targets. “Overnight, the 162nd Division began a precise, intelligence-based operation to eliminate terrorist operatives and strike terrorist infrastructure in central Gaza,” the IDF said in statement Thursday. “Prior to the entrance of the troops to the area, IAF fighter jets and additional aircraft struck terrorist infrastructure above and below the ground in the central Gaza Strip.”

“Israeli Navy conducted a number of targeted strikes along the coastline in the central Gaza Strip in order to assist ground troops operating in the area,” the statement added.

The sons of a terrorist leader were terrorists?

This is my shocked face.

The rotten pomegranate doesn’t fall far from the rotten pomegranate tree, it seems.

Haniyeh is married and has 13 children, that is a lot of terrorists in waiting. How many grandchildren, more terrorists in waiting?

    JohnSmith100 in reply to UnCivilServant. | April 11, 2024 at 5:02 pm

    Sins of the father visited:

    “Haniyeh currently lives in Qatar.

In October 2023, 14 members of his family were killed in an Israeli airstrike on his family home in Gaza City, among them a brother and nephew. In November 2023, a granddaughter of his was reportedly killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City. Later that month his eldest grandson was killed in an Israeli strike. Three of his sons and three grandchildren were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip on 10 April 2024.”

Yeah, my thought exactly. The headline solicits astonishment where there is none. It’s not like these kids grew up any differently from Uday and Qusay, who loaded supply vehicles for Doctors Without Borders; Baby Doc Duvalier, who was touring with his group for Scotch Bonnet Records; or Kim Jong Un, who (before his granddad and dad died) was driving a Good Humor truck around inner-city Kaesong.

Too bad our F35 don’t perform as well as those F15 & F16’s. Amazing what a good design does.

TargaGTS in reply to MarkSmith. | April 11, 2024 at 2:39 pm

The F-35 isn’t an F-15 or an F-16. While their mission profiles have some overlap, all three are designed for different purposes. What it gives up in a dogfight or in payload capacity it claws back with its low observability and targeting systems. More importantly, the perceived deficiencies of the F-35 that are oft-repeated in the civilian press aren’t echoed by the pilots who fly them.

Dollar for dollar, the F15/F16 ROI has blown the doors off of the F35.

After 20 Years, The F-35 Stealth Fighter Is Still Stuck In Testing – 2021.

F 35 was designed to be the replacement for F-16, F-18, A-10 and the Harrier. F-16 is supposed to be a cheap high performance dog fighter to be deployed in large numbers. F-35 is neither cheap nor an excellent dog fighter, it doesn’t have the same endurance as the A-10 and when it comes to strike missions it can carry only two bombs internally. It makes a good replacement for the harrier but falls short when compared to the rest of them.

I am sorry to see the A-10 go. Everyone love those babies.

The problem is none of the planes you mention help the Air Force/Navy establish Air Superiority and then Air Supremacy against an opponent with capable air defenses in the way an F-35 and F-22 can. That’s the central mission the F-35 was designed to fulfill. In addition to it’s stealth characteristics, it has several other advantages that aren’t enjoyed by our 4thGen multi-role attack aircraft including robust electronic warfare capabilities and an unmatched ability to operate in a connected air combat theater. In a few years when the Navy and Air Force begin to rollout loyal wingman drones, it will be the F-35 that will able to use these drones to their full capacity.

geronl in reply to TargaGTS. | April 11, 2024 at 3:59 pm

The F-35 is stealth. They’ve used it in Syria where an F-15 would have been SAM-bait

If Iran attacks, Israel has got to hit ack harder.. nothing. Nothing off the table

I think that the key to bringing an end to this is Iran. it is time they pay for all their dirty deeds .

    jb4 in reply to gonzotx. | April 11, 2024 at 3:28 pm

I wonder if any attack by Iran that resulted in Israel destroying their Kharg Island oil facilities would get their attention.

      Ironclaw in reply to jb4. | April 11, 2024 at 11:20 pm

It wouldn’t be very hard and it would take them offline for probably a couple of years. Kharg Island doesn’t have a connection to the mainland.

The feel good story of the day.

Nest of vipers.

Well, that’s another 216 virgins Allah’s gonna have to give up for these three martyrs that have gone to Paradise. You’d think Allah would be running short by now but who really knows.

and again the implicit message to all the bigwigs living/hiding-out in iran, qatar, kuwait, etc. :

” your’re next “

Wow, the vile, Fakestinian terrorist’s terrorist sons (good riddance) look as white as those Turkish Muslims do. Severely white.

Lots of whiteness going on in the Muslim world, generally, and, among the Arab Fakestinians, specifically. Someone tell those vile, European dhimmis and American Dhimmi-crats, who are perpetually attempting to dishonestly ascribe alleged racial animus to Israeli Jews, instead of properly focusing on, and, condemning, genocidal Muslim supremacism and goose-stepping Islamofascism.

A tragedy is that this hate filled ideology is passed on to children at a very early age. How many photos and parade videos show kids about 5 years old brandishing AK-47s? It’s outrageous.

In advance of the suspected Iranian strike, Eisenhower CSG has now moved from Gulf of Aden into the northern Red Sea (presumably to be in a better position to defend Israel from Yemini launches into Israel). It will be interesting to see what the Kingdom does. Yemen would, of course, have to fire over Saudi airspace to strike Israel.

It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see a regional war kick-off in the next few days, depending on how this goes. When Trump killed Soleimani, Iran’s response was tepid, at best, because at the end of the day, they didn’t want Trump’s smoke. It will be curious if they’ll test Netanyahu with direct launches from Iran.

They don’t have to worry about Biden, we already know he won’t help Israel and the media will support him

Steven Brizel | April 11, 2024 at 4:40 pm

Good riddance! The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist

Israel has got to stop this

They are quickly running out of the 72 virgins!

I just want to say

I realize that these folks did what they did, that they live/d according to whatever

But they could have learned to play baseball

They could have studied painting, sculpture, film-making, origami

They might have chosen to study agriculture, crop yields

They could have learned ballroom dance, country line dance, Argentinian tango, bachata

They could have all learned a different musical instrument

They might have learned to sew, do needlepoint, macrame

They could have learned to weld, do plumbing, hang drywall

They might have learned agriculture

Or medicine or accounting Maybe cure cancer moi

They might have volunteered with an NGO helping to feed the poor

So many things that they might have chosen to do , over the years. But now we’ll never know .

What a world.

“In fact, one of Haniyeh’s daughters has been receiving medical treatment in Israel”

My guess is that she will have no projected release date for the indefinite future.
