Mika: I’m Not Blaming Trump “Squarely” for Scalise Shooting, But . . .

“this is the new added dynamic to what is a very dangerous climate”

Yes, let’s all come together, hold hands, unite . . . and blame President Trump for the shooting of Steve Scalise and others yesterday. Morning Joe opened today with predictable pieties, Joe Scarborough saying, for example, that “the heated rhetoric in this country has to calm down.”

But before the show’s first hour had ended, Mika Brzezinski turned the heat up to 11 by pointing the finger for the Scalise shooting in part at the president. An emotional Mika, after accusing President Trump of “promoting violence on the campaign trail,” continued:

“I’m not putting anything squarely on the president, but I have to say that this is the new added dynamic to what is a very dangerous climate.”

To his credit, Joe Scarborough did push back, saying that the climate was “a long time coming. It is 20, 30 years coming. And yes, we’ve spoken about Donald Trump, but if Donald Trump were to leave Washington tomorrow, we would have the same problems that we had the 30 years before Donald Trump was here. This is a systemic problem, and it’s been with us for a long time.”

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Joe, I think that, very carefully, we have to, we have to talk about the, the added dynamic here, because you have the right and the left, the extremes on the right and the left. You have fake news, you have conspiracy theorists who are really muddying the waters, and we have become desensitized.

We also have a president who pushes fake news and conspiracy theories from birtherism to promoting violence on the campaign trail. I mean, this is the new dynamic here. I’m not putting anything squarely on the president, but I have to say that this is the new added dynamic to what is a very dangerous climate. Joining us from Capitol Hill —

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Well, it is, it is, it is a long time coming. It is 20, 30 years coming, and yes, we’ve spoken about Donald Trump. But if Donald Trump were to leave Washington tomorrow, we would have the same problems that we had the 30 years before Donald Trump was here. This is a systemic problem, and it’s been with us for a long time.

They are professionals so there is no telling what their limits might be, but I’m guessing they can be dumber that a cow pie.

It’s unwatchable (except when Mika has Russell Brand on). How’d you like to be the blogger that has to review that show…..e v e r y d a y…..Gah!

Makes you start to suspect they’re very well paid to be that stupid……..

Nope. I’ve been watching, so I know. DJT is much more gently spoken than most of the prominent Democrats: Obama, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Elizabeth Warren, Loretta Lynch and a host talking heads.

I read the newspapers, too. What they write is libelous. And now the Huffington Post (no link, won’t do it) says that violence against Trump and his supporters is fully justified…..

The more of this that happens, the more I think that the pedophilia network stories I haven’t passed along are more likely to be true.

Pedophilia and sex trafficking are nothing new, it’s just time to clear out an infestation, and Scalise was part of the clean-up crew.

They need to rename this show Morning Psychodrama.

Mika and Joe have been ramping up the dangerous climate for years, going as far back as the time they blamed Sarah Palin for the Gaby Gifford’s shooting.

Flick & Frack.

The blame rests solely with the left leaning democrat supporting media.

Trump isn’t the one out there day in day out calling for action to be taken against anyone who dares speak the wrong words.

The media’s hatred of Trump has wilfully blinded them to their hatred which they are using to incite violence against the Right or anyone who doesn’t toe the line.

IF President Trump is a fair representation of cultural conservatives, which I think he is about 80% of the time, then their hatred for this POTUS should be an awakening for the ‘quiet majority’ that supposedly lives in America. Their hatred for President Trump easily transfers to anyone who identifies with him on a moral or policy basis.

The next Democrat or Liberal Progressive that becomes POTUS will certainly destroy his work, even if he should win the 2020 presidential election. There must be some way to take the wind out of their sails, IMO.

“…anyone who doesn’t toe the line.”

Like the progressive Evergreen College professor who stepped out of line and who is “no longer safe on campus” in the estimation of campus police. Who made him unsafe? Trump? Conservatives? Republicans? No, he’s unsafe because the Left is totally unhinged and disconnected from reality. That professor and others like him (politicians, the MSM, celebrities, etc.) has made a bed of Progressivism, and some are finding themselves tossed out of it with threats and actual violence. How can the Left’s use of violence against the Right be surprising, and how can they not be solely responsible for it, when they’ve demonstrated a willingness to use violence against their fellow travelers?

kenoshamarge | June 15, 2017 at 8:53 am

Does anyone care what this phony blond ninny says? If they do, they are as stupid as she is. And Joe, good grief man, this is the best you could do?

Wrathchilde in reply to kenoshamarge. | June 15, 2017 at 9:22 am

Joe’s a soft past-conservative who works for MSDNC. He’s lucky not to be engaged to Larry O’D. Mika looks and sounds pretty good/sane in comparison.

You have to be happy that they are too old to breed?

It’s gratifying, indeed, to see how graciously the Left/Dem/Prog base has accepted the results of our democratically held election, as opposed to the way they demonized Trump’s potential “wait and see” response to his potentially losing the election (which would destroy our democratic republic as we know it).

They certainly have “set the bar” for behavior (buried somewhere deep below the deepest tombs on the pyramids).

The Dem’s electoral loss has put them in hot water, and the true nature of their tea bags (such delightful reversal of phrase) is manifesting itself for all to see.

Trying very, very hard to remember all the times President Cheeto “promoted violence”…

…Still trying…

…Nope. Nothing.

Yeah, it’s PDT’s fault.
Those goons in black masks beating up Trump supporters and stabbing Police horses? They’re just dressed up for a costume party!

“Mika: I’m Not Blaming Trump “Squarely” for Scalise Shooting, But . . .”

So instead of just stabbing Trump in the back “squarely”, she needs to talk and talk and talk while spinning around and around before the knife ends up in Trump’s back.

Deceitful people are so complicated.

Lefties just don’t get it. Telling people they will have to defend their constitutional rights should HRC become President (because it was clearly her intention to deal with the 2nd Amendment) is very different to openly call for Right wingers to be attacked for having the temerity to think/speal different to that language approved by liberals.

What is telling though is that for liberals to spin a statement about people having to be prepared to defend their constitutional rights as a call for violence is nothing more than the revelation of liberals own thought processes. Liberals cannot see that there are other means to an end without the need to resort to violence.

The fact liberals immediately link Trumps comments to violence says more about Liberals than it does about the right.

Mika: “….we have a president who promoted violence on the campaign trail.”

Mika, honey, remember the Project Veritas undercover videos
last fall?
Who, did you say again, was promoting violence????

Stupid or hopelessly rotten? Which is it, Mika, dear?

Milhouse in reply to frankiefrank. | June 15, 2017 at 1:26 pm

Did you watch the videos? Nothing in them contradicted the fact that Trump was promoting violence, and Trump supporters were engaging in it. The “big revelation” was merely the obvious and openly-acknowledged fact that the Clinton campaign was making the most of this, which why shouldn’t they have?

derf in reply to Milhouse. | June 15, 2017 at 2:48 pm

There really is no equivalence between the lefties and the righties on this issue.
Tea party circa 2009/2010 – objecting to Obama. Mad as hell, determined BUT peaceful (though deliberately maligned by detractors and the media). I view them as the equivalent of the American Revolution.

Then there was the Occupy Wall Street about the same time. Mad as hell, determined but violent. I view them like the French Revolution.

And now there is the “resistance” and / or the “antifa”. They are mad as hell, determined and violent. Yesterday was just the most outrageous example of the violence.

You can’t say that the responses by the different sides is the same.

So, the Democrats sent thugs to Trump rallies, who were violent. Then, they blamed Trump for the violence. I will never forget having to arrange for a body guard to accompany me and my son to the San Diego Trump Rally, concerned for our safety.

Blaming President Trump for this political shooting is beyond disgusting. Personally, I have never been so politically angry in my life…and the target of that anger is NOT President Trump.

Milhouse in reply to Leslie Eastman. | June 15, 2017 at 1:34 pm

So, the Democrats sent thugs to Trump rallies, who were violent. Then, they blamed Trump for the violence.

No. There were of course many violent leftists, who rioted repeatedly while the police refused to do anything. But the Democrats didn’t send them. The strategy that Project Veritas “revealed” was the Clinton campaign taking full advantage of the propensity of some Trump supporters for violence.

Until last year, political violence in America was almost entirely a phenomenon of the left. Right-wing political violence almost didn’t exist. That changed with the Trump campaign. Of course lefties are better at violence, because they’ve had more practise. But for the first time in decades there was violence on the right too, and the Democrats exploited this to paint an unflattering picture of the whole campaign and frighten voters about Trump. They paid people to attend Trump rallies and wait to be beaten, and then film it and publicize it. There’s nothing wrong with that. If your opponents are foolish enough to engage in violence, why would you not use that?

What is wrong with you, Milhouse?

“They paid people to attend Trump rallies and wait to be beaten, and then film it and publicize it.”

So let me get this straight: Bob Creamer paid union thugs, mentally ill and the homeless to go to Trump rallies and just hang out, “waiting to be beaten.”

No, Milhouse. Creamer’s paid goons were there to incite violence that would not have happened had the thugs stayed away. Explain yourself, because you are totally wrong here.

Wasn’t it also creamer that said he had union goons who loved to get into fights at opponents rallies filmed in the Project Veritas videos?

“Jane, you ignorant slut …”

Joe, run, run away.

Jeez… Democrat tries to assassinate Republican Congressmen and it’s Trump’s fault…. Give it a rest Mika.

I think Mika has a little bit of the blame for this, for her part in pushing the never-Trump idea after he was elected.

Yes, little Mika, you. I am blaming you, you have fault in this that you can’t wash or wish away. I can’t call you a SOB because you’re female. But plenty of nasty words apply.

Earlier today, the matter of the Dem’s sending their paid goons as provocateurs to the Trump rallies last fall, was discussed.
We’re talking about the undercover videos of PROJECT VERITAS.

It is still vividly on my mind: The videos were potentially disastrous to the Dems, as the “chief goon”, Creamer, bragged on video that he was operating at the behest of the top circles of the Party, and that “you ain’t seen nuttin yet”. “There is more”,
Veritas promised.

Alas, nothing further on the matter from VERITAS. And the matter of the Dems interfering in the Rep campaign became a non-subject, instead of blowing up in their face, as it should have

ANYONE GOT ANY REASONABLE EXPLANATION FOR THAT?(no no, not you, Milhouse, it’s ok.)

For Joe’s sake, let’s hope the bleached blonde bimbo performs better on her back than she does on her feet.

David Block | June 15, 2017 at 8:50 pm

The stupid is strong….. Oh hell, it’s MSNBC.

Does anyone have an honest report of any time trump was espousing violence during the campaign or elsewhere? I hear this claim constantly from the Left and from the Media, but having followed the election fairly closely I do not know of a single case.
