Yuge POLITICO SCOOP – Trump might really be 6’2″ not 6’3″
Does Politico have ANY idea how stupid and frivolous this makes POLITICO appear?
Politico has a SCOOP.
Trump’s driver’s license casts doubt on height claims:
Donald Trump and his doctor claim he’s 6-foot-3, but his New York driver’s license says he’s actually an inch shorter.
A copy of Trump’s license, obtained by POLITICO through an open-records request, lists the president-elect at 6-foot-2.
It may just be an inch, but size apparently matters to Trump. A letter that the businessman candidate displayed this summer from his longtime gastroenterologist — while appearing on the Dr. Oz show — stated he was 6-foot-3, though media reports were quick to point out discrepancies.
Slate, for example, posited that Trump was adding an inch to his height to avoid crossing into obesity territory — he also weighed 236 pounds — on the BMI index. That Slate article pointed to multiple media that pegged Trump as 6-foot-2, including Google, though the search engine now has Trump at 6-foot-3.
A special edition of Time published earlier this year profiling Trump also listed him at 6-foot-3 while noting “it irritates him that so many media outlets say 6-foot-2.”
How did Politico get the license?
The license was released to POLITICO by the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control through an open-records request related to the central Virginia winery that’s owned by Trump and run by his son Eric.
If only it had done such extensive investigation to obtain that secret tape of Obama with anti-Israel activists prior to the 2008 election.
.@dsamuelsohn @politico Do you have ANY idea how stupid and frivolous this makes YOU look?

This story has me wondering if @politico is actually a parody account run as a middle school class project. @dsamuelsohn

Bill Clinton was really upset when he read this! If Politico had published this before the election it would have gave Hillary the edge. Comey is now number two the list of Clinton excuses.
How silly of Politico. Height measurements are posture related when you round to the nearest inch.
Looks like a forgery to me. That is a picture of Donald Trump 20 years ago, not 4.
Being familiar with the NYS DMV, I can assure you, they will let you carry the same picture mor or less indefinately.
At which time he might well have been a rounded inch taller. Even men can lose some stature with age. The real answer to this vital question could come if someone can get Trump’s tailor to talk.
I’m still looking for that MSM report that Ted Kennedy’s driver’s license was expired when he went for that late night drive with Mary Jo Kopechne. They weren’t curious about that.
“Does Politico have ANY idea how stupid and frivolous this makes POLITICO appear?”
I hope not. The less aware they are of how stupid they look, the more of such obviously stupid stuff they’ll publish.
SCOOP! Politico is Mad Magazine for adults, but not as creative.
What a bunch of worthless, inbred stacks of meat inhabit Politico.
1) Known physiological fact. As you age, the spaces between your discs compress. It is not a matter of politics or honesty, it is a matter of gravity.
2) I am retired, and Donald Trump has a couple of years on me, being 70 years old.
3) Since I was about 17, I have been 5’11 3/4″. I was measured as such at a physical, and that is what I automatically said when asked.
4) Drivers licenses last several years. I have never been physically measured for my drivers license, they just ask on the form and I fill it in. I cannot see New York State civil servants bestirring themselves to measure every drivers license applicant.
5) At my physical last year, they measured and I was 5′ 10 3/4″. I said . . . questioning things to my doctor, who pointed out the effect of age after remeasuring. That and I have known back problems which aggravate the age effect. This year, I was even shorter. My drivers license lasts 5 years before renewal, and I am part way through that period. My license indicates that I am taller than I am. That is not a matter of ego, or a lie. It is what it is.
Everybody loses height as they age, AND pretty much everybody just automatically puts down their height when they stopped growing as a matter of habit until something tells them that they aren’t that height anymore.
It must be a quiet world if that is the most critical issue that Politico can worry about.
And it isn’t even just that. If you spend a lot of time on your feet you can shrink a bit. I am always taller – sometimes substantially so – after a visit to the chiropractor.
So now the autistic kids at Soros Inc. have something new to sperg over. Wonderful.
I think you’re defaming the folks on the spectrum. Pretty much all the ones I know have too much sense to believe the crap that Soros and the Dems are pushing.
It’s either a rounding error or Politico reporting at twilight. It could also be further evidence of rabid left-wing class diversity, specifically ageism.
The scientific consensus is that people shrink as they get older: http://www.nbcnews.com/health/body-odd/yep-youre-shrinking-you-get-older-heres-why-f1C6437163
I’d say it’s true, based on my experience. I’m in my early 60s, and I’m over a half inch shorter than I was 10 years ago.
I mean, I’m not as tall…
Stupid is not bad. Stupid sells big time: Politico, HuffPo, LAT, NYT, Slate, Morning Joe, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, Hollywood, etc., etc.
Pretty sure they could add their collective reader’s IQ and it would still fall short of any adult shoe size Henry.
But everybody lies about it, so no foul here. The Bill Clinton standard.
I don’t know Trumps height, only that he appeared a lot taller than Rubio 🙂
Or Jeb!
Wonder when Politico will report on Shrillarys apparent 2 inch growth over the last few years.

He got so excited repeatedly schlonging Hillary and the Dims this past year that he actually grew an inch.
Nationwide, state DMVs have been notorious for accuracy and exactitude in everything. The 6’2″ is unimpeachable and Trump is a liar who ought to give up the presidency, had he the capacity for shame.
Their drooling audience will get it. And they’ll think they’re oh so sofistikated.
but size apparently matters to Trump
Hey, I am 6; 3/4″, but I always say I am 6’1″, so I want my story!
And maybe I’m not 125 pounds either. WHO THE HELL CARES??!
I am an 83 year old man. In 1949 my height was 5’9 3/4″. Last doctors visit they measured me at 5′ 7″. Things change. How long ago was Donald’s drivers listened issued. Gotta love driving the Libs crazy. Love it, love It!
I shrunk an inch. Maybe we should measure Trump twice a day and weigh him before every meal to get these important stats right. We can have a whole government agency in charge. It would be a perfect position for Romney.
It would not surprise me one bit that the DMV entered 6’2″ for Trump when he’d answered 6’3″ simply because the ‘3’ key was missing on that particular clerk’s typewriter. The point being that there is a large number of simpler explanations that ought to be ruled out before leaping to some conspiracy. Of course, that assumes one seeks the facts/truth. If the motivation is political, by all means, leap straight to the conclusion that best promotes your agenda. It’s the only way to get there without evidence.
Trump is an egomaniac, a man who, if he’s 6′ 2″, is taller than 96% of American men, and still he’s not satisfied. He has to WIN, even at being tall.
He may have once been 6′ 3″, or close to it, but vertebral compression, and the slight-to-moderate hunch in his shoulders, both very common to anyone his age, mean that he’s probably 6′ 2″ or shorter now. — not that there’s anything wrong with that.
