Mika Brzezinski: Clinton Campaign Tried To Get Me ‘Pulled Off Air’

Clinton Campaign Wanted Mika Pulled for Warning Against Thinking Race Was Over

And people fret about Trump trying to control the press? Now we learn about the kind of paranoid control freaks running the Clinton campaign.

Mika Brzezinski made a stunning revelation on today’s Morning Joe. Mika, a loyal Democrat, said that after she warned that the Clinton campaign was perhaps being arrogant in assuming that the race was over, “I’ll just say it: NBC got a call from the campaign. Like I had done something that was journalistically inappropriate or something, and needed to be pulled off the air.”

As Mika said: “think about that.”

Brzezinski’s disclosure came in the context of a discussion of how the Clinton campaign blamed its failure on everything from “fake news” to the Comey letter, without every taking responsibility for its own shortcomings. Notable was the campaign’s failure to address the concerns of working-class Americans.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Listen, I was concerned the campaign was not understanding that perhaps there was an arrogance, they needed to sort of get off their high horse and understand that this isn’t over. I’ll just say it: NBC got a call from the campaign. Like I had done something that was journalistically inappropriate or something and needed to be pulled off the air. I mean, think about that. That’s just, that’s shooting the wrong messenger.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: By the way, Mika, there were also people surrounding the campaign that tried to tell the campaign it was in trouble. Those people were shut out.

MIKA: [sighs] And here we are.

JOE: Here we are.

She sounds like some Bolshevik veteran of the October Revolution wondering why Secretary Comrade Stalin is having her purged.

Hey, you lie with the Hounds of Hell, you’re going to get fleas. And flea bites. And plague.

Has anybody found a story that explains why the opinion polls were so wrong (that doesn’t blame somebody other than the pollsters) ?

Either pollsters can predict these things (or their not pollsters) by means of their inherent tools.

Because if the polls don’t say what the Dems want, somebody’s boss gets a phone call …

Perhaps the pollsters should have paid more attention to the unusually high percentage of people who responded “undecided”…because it turns out that most of them were leaning for Trump.

Because pollsters usually re-weight their sample results based on their presumed turnout model. So if I do a poll in Wisconsin that says Trump is leading Clinton by 2 points under the raw numbers but then I re-weight because I believe that there will be more democratic or minority voters than were in my sample, I might come up with a 4 point Clinton lead. And that’s the number that I report.

So Mika a victim now too. Oh poor baby. The big bad mean Clinton’s were trying to get her fired. Ha, can’t believe that. A major Clinton water carrier with more BS. Realizing that she was no longer a useful idiot, they were discarding her.

Someone probably said that Mika needs to keep promoting her legs since she has no brain.

I think she is taking cover from the wreckage of the Donald bomb.

Nice try Mika, you are still the enemy for truth.

If you’re saying that the Clinton campaign never called NBC trying to get Mika off the air, I would tend to disagree.

I think it’s very unlikely that Mika would put the Clinton campaign and to an extent her own employer in an embarrassing situation by revealing this if it weren’t true.

What is embarrassing about it? My guess, the Clinton campaign was having a temper tantrum every time they heard something they did not like and this was standard operating procedure. I think you have attributed a to high level of importance of the Clinton campaign and Mika. You give Mika more power that she really has.

“I think it’s very unlikely that Mika would put the Clinton campaign and to an extent her own employer in an embarrassing situation by revealing this if it weren’t true.”

I think this nothing burger is just that. Cut the drama. Who cares if the Clinton campaign called the NBC answering service to tell them to dump Mika.

If Hillary called Bob Greenblatt then their might be a story here, but this is a drama bs story.

Mika’s drama is just a make me feel good I am a victim story.

Mika’s role in being the source of media truth is like 1 in a million. Censoring her, what a joke.

This was in the Wikileaks e-mail release.

In May of this year, Debbie Wasserman Schultz herself set up a meeting at CNBC, and demanded that Mika be there for it, it wasn’t enough just to pass along the information to Mika, she HAD to be there.

This isn’t a feel good story, or a story to say “I told you so”, it’s completely accurate and verifiable, and it’s pretty much confirmation that the information in the wikileaks release is true.

And your point? So DWS wanted Mika to be at a meeting for what? Help craft the DNC message that they continually carried? Nothing knew here. Even if it was to put Mika in her place, it is a big sooooo what!

          I love this line:

Mika Brzezinski made a stunning revelation on today’s Morning Joe. Mika

This is drama to the extreme. Sure, really stunning! There would be a story here if Mika actually got canned because she said she would not carry Clinton’s water. It didn’t happen and she did a great job of being a Clinton Cheerleader.

There has to be something better than this to report on. I will take a Milo story over this any day.

Oh, BTW, Mika is just to stupid to even know what an embarrassment is.

Hey Mika Brzezinski was trying to put a “fake” news story that the race was not over. Please stop being arrogant Clinton campaign.

We all know this is why Clinton got her lying behind beat!

🙂

Taking the normally outspoken (targeting conservatives) Mika at her word, the lobbying against her was newsworthy at the time.

Yet no news from Mika. She obviously cowered to avoid further antagonizing the woman she believed to be the next POTUS. But that’s all in the rear view mirror now. Some other guy won the election and this disclosure can’t do her any harm with him.

A journo-list”s profile in cowardice.

Hrummmph. Trump would have just tweeted his annoyance with Mika and be done with it.

Maybe I’m just easy to please but I think the Clinton campaign went very well.

I have more respect for Nikolai Volkoff than these Soviet wannabe Clinton operatives.

Ah yes, objective unbiased journalist tries to warn Team Clinton they are losing…. interesting.

Actually, it’s kind of brave of her to come out and say this. Most reporters are terrified of the Clinton Machine. Maybe Mika will be the first in a trend.

Mika needs to be honest with herself and think if anyone conservative tried to have her taken off the air.
