The way in which online services serve up ads, or new potential “friends,” or otherwise use your online trail, can be unnerving.
A downside is some loss of privacy, as companies track you. The upside is that sometimes the big algorithm in the sky is helpful and serves up things that matter to you.
When I went to YouTube today to get more music video links for the Video of the Day sidebar widget, the YouTube side column had related videos by the artist plus recommended videos. You can see in the featured image what it showed as recommended.
Here they are. Very satisfying.
For today, at least, Thank you big algorithm in the sky.

Holy cow, these people are boring. I’d forgotten how awful TV news really is.
Of course since I first arrived on this puny planet I’ve gotten all my news via Interociter, so I’m a bit spoiled.
