Podesta Emails: Hillary Camp Feared GOP Candidates…Except Trump

Podesta Emails: Hillary Camp Feared GOP Candidates…Except Trump

Even the “clown” Ted Cruz scared the campaign.

In the new batch of Podesta emails, opinion writer Bren Budowsky told John Podesta that Hillary needed to change her ways because the GOP candidates could easily beat her…except for Donald Trump:

Hillary Camp Trump

Budowsky insisted Hillary needed to stop attacking her opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), “especially when she says things that are untrue, which candidly she often does.” Budowsky said he has the credibility to persuade Bernie supporters to switch sides to Hillary, but it would only work if she stops lying about Bernie.

He offers a few solutions for Hillary:

Hillary Stop Attacking Sanders

In another chain, Budowsky suggested to Podesta the campaign find a member of the clergy to call on Trump to apologize to Hillary after he called her bathroom break “disgusting” during a Democrat debate.

In the first batch of emails, the Clinton campaign “discussed ways to elevate Donald Trump and other ‘extreme’ Republican candidates to make the party’s eventual nominee ‘unpalatable.'” From The Daily Mail:

‘This memo is intended to outline the strategy and goals a potential Hillary Clinton presidential campaign would have regarding the 2016 Republican presidential field,’ the email that was sent to the Democratic National Committee on April 7, 2015, began.

‘Our hope is that the goal of a potential HRC campaign and the DNC would be one-in-the-same: to make whomever the Republicans nominate unpalatable to a majority of the electorate.’

They then picked three candidates to concentrate on: Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson. The campaign called them Pied Piper Candidates:

‘We don’t want to marginalize the more extreme candidates, but make them more “Pied Piper” candidates who actually represent the mainstream of the Republican Party,’ the email read.

‘We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to them seriously.’

Comments

Clown terror, it’s real.

Just think if Billy Bush beat Trump to death 11 years ago in that trailer when Trump made those comments, Trump wouldn’t have been there to say Jeb was “low energy” and “sad.” Oh the alternative histories!

Is this the leak you want to talk about from the present set?
When there is a leaked email which says that Bill and Chelsea drove a CF staffer to her death??

How alt-RINO of you!

That’s fine. Let’s talk about this. As yesterday night showed this is just another example of the bad judgements the Clinton team makes.

BTW, part of the Watergate scandal were dirty tricks the Nixon campaign played on Muskie, who was the front runner, to knock him out and get McGovern as the nominee. Fortunately Trump is no McGovern.

Ironic.

No one else would have attacked her with her own ”war on women” schtick.

If Dem strategists knew what they were doing, much of the United States would still be operating with a slave economy.

Democrats feared another Sarah Palin. Oh, wait. The female chauvinist faction destroyed her. They hate strong women, men, and babies (“Posterity”), too.

Democrats did not fear Cruz because he did not confront the issues (e.g. class diversity, illegal aliens, outsourcing, insourcing, emigration reform including refugee crises, progressive wars) that matter to Americans and he did not earn the support of a [numerically] diverse population.

Trump has responded to each and every attack waged from the left, right, and center, foreign and domestic. He has demonstrated his mettle, and people are willing to give him a chance.

As for the abortionists, some advice: once, repent. twice and more (i.e. normalization), natural born killers.

This shows an interesting difference between Rs and Ds. The dem side runs against the entire R party, demonizing them all at every opportunity.

Meanwhile, Rs can barely bring themselves to run against the individual candidates facing them. They keep saying they want to run on “issues” — except for any issue that the Ds might call controversial or something.

Typical Hillary. Read all the tea leaves exactly backwards.

hysterical that the one person they *didn’t* fear was the one that is kicking their ass…

and he’s the only one out of the GOP primaries with the cajones to say what needed saying and to fight back when attacked.

any of the others would have already conceded the election.

When you fight off that delusional state, you’ll find that Hellary is up double digits in several polls, and this late in the game, those polls are pretty reliable.

T-rump lost. He lost on his own hubris.

If true (and it’s not true across the board, some polls still have Trump winning – you’re cherry-picking at best), then who do we have to thank? A complicit media. Spineless mainstream Republicans. Globalist establishment Republicans (who have aligned themselves with the only globalist candidate, Hillary Clinton – normally there are two globalists candidates, one called a “Democrat,” the other “Republican,” to give the progressive/liberal dichotomy verisimilitude). And the nattering nabobs of negativity. Are you proud that you fit into that last category and are keeping such company? They say one can know a man by the company he keeps.

“…you’ll find that Hellary is up double digits in several polls, and this late in the game, those polls are pretty reliable.

T-rump lost. He lost on his own hubris.”

I looked at the metrics for one of those “polls”, the NBS/WSJ poll. Crooked bullshit plain and simple.

Trump may lose/may be losing, but that poll at least is total bullshit.

Luckily, Trumpies obliged, and now we are losing the elections that should’ve been easy wins. Presidency is lost, Senate is almost certainly lost, House is likely to remain (R), but weaker (R).

I hope that they will learned something mid-November, but then if they were capable of learning, they wouldn’t be Trumpies in first place – so I am not optimistic. As it is, they already started to blame everyone but the people who decided to nominate the biggest loser in one of the easiest election.

What I will learn is that the combination of the MSM and the globalist establishment cannot be defeated in an election, because the media is dishonest. It’s not so much the American people are stupid, it’s just that so many, if not all, of their sources of information are controlled by those who will work together to destroy any candidate who exhibits independence (as they did with Sanders through the machinations of the DNC and as they are doing with Trump) and diverges from the overarching globalist agenda that’s always behind establishment candidates from both major parties.

If the Senate and House are lost it is because of you guys in the alt-RINOs. and your p***y Senators and Representatives.

They couldn’t wait to not only to run away from Trump but to actually suggest he be replaced. They didn’t even wait for the debate. Now they are bleeding Trumper’s votes.

Right now I’m having a hard time even thinking of voting for Mark Kirk and he desperately needs my vote a lot more then anyone Ragsy is voting for needs his.

Look at all the material any GOP candidate has to work with.

Hillary Clinton’s tenure at State was a disaster from beginning to end. The “reset” button she presented the Russian Foreign Minister used the wrong word; it said “overcharge.” I suppose, shades of the White House travel office, she fired all the professionals in whatever branch handled protocol and translations and replaced them with cronies. We’ve been overcharged for her blunders and fecklessness in dealing with the Russians ever since. You can blame Putin’s adventurism in the ME, his annexation of the Crimea, his invasion of the Ukraine, and now his placement of SS26 Iskander SRBMs in the Russian Baltic Enclave of Kaliningrad not exclusively but substantially on the groundwork laid by Clinton as Secretary of State in Obama’s first term. Clinton, too, convinced Putin he could get away with almost anything. Militarily we are a lot stronger, even without NATO. But the old Jukoka and KGB officer knows that a strong man dealt a weak hand can beat an entire group of weaklings no matter how strong their cards.

Yes, these failures aren’t hers alone; look at who she was working for. But she went along with every idiot idea Barack Obama came up with, and came up with plenty of idiot ideas on her own, because she was just as incompetent an amateur as he is. Out of the mouths of babes and fools often come amazing insights. At the start of Obama’s presidency Joe Biden said something along the lines of “mark my words, some foreign entity will test him soon after he is sworn into office.” He was tested, he failed, and Clinton failed every test right along with him.

In March of 2010 a NORK submarine sank the ROKS Cheonan. Clinton immediately flew to South Korea to stand by our ally and promised a strong response in concert with the international community. Yes, she actually said that. Leftists have this childlike faith in this mythological international community, as they did in the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny. It’s not entirely mythological; every once in a while the thugs and dictators do set aside their squabbles to humiliate the US at the UN. Which is what predictably happened. The international community pantsed Clinton and UN Ambassador Rice by issuing an insulting UNSC resolution that strongly condemned the attack on the ROK ship by, we don’t know. The Chinese used their veto threat to prevent any hint it might have been the NORKs. As these events at the UN were unfolding, Kim Jong Il was on NORK TV pinning medals on the officers responsible for sinking the ROK patrol craft. It was comically pathetic as Clinton and Rice tried to spin that slap in the face as some sort of diplomatic coup. In November of that year the NORKs celebrated their complete and total victory by shelling the South Korean island of Yeongpyeongdo. I don’t recall the State Dept. doing anything in response, probably because Clinton didn’t want any more public humiliation.

After that display of impotence, Clinton’s diplomatic “pivot to Asia” went about as well as you might have expected. China became increasingly confrontational over disputed islands, knowing this administration wouldn’t do anything about it. Clinton notes in her own book that a former state councilor told her “Why don’t you pivot out of here.” The countries predisposed toward welcoming increased US attention to the region approved of the pivot. No minds changed there. The Chinese did not and began making territorial sea claims in the South China Sea that encroached on our allies longstanding claims. Other countries which need to maintain good relations with both the US and China to avoid getting crushed in a giant nutcracker were pissed off because our pivot antagonized the Chinese but due to budget cuts and the fact that they were stretched thin by commitments in other parts of the world there weren’t sufficient forces to “pivot to Asia” and deter the very Chinese we were aggravating, letting them have a free hand in the region.

All in all, not a diplomatic success, to say the least.

Clinton did achieve some short terms gains in Myanmar. She was planning to use it as the one concrete example of a foreign policy success on her watch. But the authoritarian regime began cracking down again on dissidents before she left the State Dept. Has anybody heard her playing it up? I haven’t, and I’ve been looking for it. She’s going to keep quiet about it because by any measure it’s another failure.

And of course we all know about Benghazi. So there’s no need for me to go into that. And Hillary didn’t start every fire that flared up during the Arab Spring. But she started several, and vomited gasoline on all the fires whether she started them or not. She really should have been hit on her reliance on Muslim Brotherhood advisers. In particular her “body woman” Huma Abedin. Her mom is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, sort of the MB’s women’s auxiliary. Her father started the Insitute of Muslim Minority Affairs, which is best thought of as the foreign policy branch of the Saudi governments wahabbist Ministry of Religious Affairs. You know, the people who fund mosques all over the world that preach jihad against the west.

As someone who held a TS/SCI clearance for 20 years and was an SSO at two commands these family connections alone would have been enough to prevent an individual from getting a clearance. But she was Clinton’s personal aide, and since when does Hillary Clinton care about national security? But Abedin wasn’t just guilty by association, she was guilty by participation. She worked for the national Muslim Student Association council. If you followed the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial you’ll know from the documents the government placed in evidence the Muslim Student’s Association was the Muslim Brotherhood’s first front group in the US. And Abedin also worked for the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs. So she was in the family business. The primary mission of the IMMA, and one of the main missions of the MSA, is to keep Muslims in the West from integrating into society. To self-segregate and remain somewhat hostile to larger society.

There are a number of such fifth columnists in this administration but I don’t know of any so close to a high official as Abedin. It could explain why Clinton is buying the Islamic State’s propaganda that Donald Trump is giving aid and comfort to the enemy by talking about restricting immigration from Muslim countries. Like al-Qaeda and Yassir Arafat’s al-Fatah before it, the Islamic state produces propaganda for Western audiences designed to demoralize the West and make it easier to achieve their jihadist goals (for a basic idea of those goals read the HLF terror funding trial exhibit concerning the MB’s strategic plan for North America, available on line, which the MB never planned to become public). They’re well informed about the West, particularly the useful idiots on the left who ally with them, and this propaganda usually includes large amounts of emotional appeals to leftist pieties that appeal to the left’s natural instinct to see the US as the perennial bad guy.

They all also produce and distribute essays, treatises, videos, and fatwas for consumption by Muslims in the Islamic world, not meant for Western eyes and rarely ever transliterated into English in which they lay out the theological basis for jihad against the non-Muslims no matter what, even if we meet every single one of their bogus demands. Those are just a pretense; think Hans Gruber in Die Hard making his hostage demands that he could care less about because his goal is the heist. The recruiting tool isn’t Donald Trump’s rhetoric, it’s when fools like Clinton jump through hoops trying to meet their demands as if we make ourselves as inoffensive to the jihadists they’ll learn to love us. That shows they’re winning, and as OBL who had as much insight into the Muslim mind as any put it, when people see a strong horse and a weak horse, they naturally prefer the strong horse. Taking their propaganda demands seriously and trying to meet them makes the Islamic State look like the strong horse, the appeasers the weak horse.

So with advisers like those she chose to rely on Clinton got everything wrong during the so-called Arab Spring. Nowhere worse than Syria, Egypt, and Libya. The Egyptians were actually favorably disposes toward the US under Mubarak. But the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization, and we gave them Egypt. That was one of those fires Hillary Clinton didn’t start, but she puked gasoline on it. Now the Egyptians almost universally hate us. Clinton is trying to distance herself from Obama on Syrian by playing Monday morning quarterback and saying he should have armed the rebels earlier. But Syria is just as much her failure as his. She ran the foreign missions; it was her job to establish the predicate relationships so that the rebels could have been vetted. Even if Obama wanted to do something meaningful in Syria, and he clearly didn’t, he couldn’t have responsibly armed rebel groups because Clinton hadn’t laid the groundwork. Then in Libya Hillary Clinton kicked over the table, deposed Ghaddaffi, and, nothing. She had no plan for what came after deposing Ghaddafi. She’s such an inept amateur I’m convinced she wasn’t aware she needed a follow-on plan. So how’s this for a recruiting tool; she gave the jihadists including AQ and iS affiliates a state of their own just a hop skip and jump from Southern Europe. She, more than anybody, brought the jihad to Europe.

That’s just a short list off the top of my head. Hillary Clinton wasn’t just a failure, she was an epic disaster as Secretary of State. If there’s any part of the world that wasn’t worse off in 2013 than it was in 2009 it’s only because Hillary Clinton didn’t get around to “engaging” in that part of the world.

The above is what this campaign should be about. If we had a half way decent candidate that’s what the campaign would be about. That’s why Clinton was deathly afraid of any candidate besides Trump. She knows how vulnerable she is on her record. She knows her record which isn’t just a record of failure but of unmitigated disaster. Trump is a lousy candidate on all different levels. He’s a disorganized campaigner and he doesn’t see the need to do his homework. The guy who still doesn’t know what the nuclear triad is couldn’t make an issue of the dumpster fire that is Clinton’s foreign policy record. The MSM isn’t going to tell the electorate what a screeching horror show Clinton was as Secretary of State. The LIVs who couldn’t find Libya on a map are told she was the best Secretary of State since Thomas Jefferson. The LiIVs don’t know who Jefferson was but it sounds good to them. Only the GOP candidate can make Hillary Clinton’s record an issue, which would destroy her, but we have the one candidate who can’t.

Which also has to do with why Trump needed to get out ahead of his lewd comments. As I said on another thread he knew the networks had that audio. It was a non-issue when he was a registered Democrat making them money (the networks need to be called to account for that) but he can’t be so stupid as to think they wouldn’t bring it out now. And shock the tender sensibilities of the LIVs who can’t find Libya on a map, despite which Trump still needs their votes. But now we’re talking about pussy grabbing and how Trump thinks his own daughter is a nice piece of ass. And yes I know he didn’t say that exactly, but that’s how the MSM is reporting it and what he did actually say in that conversation on Howard Stern’s show was still plenty creepy.

Now get this through your thick skulls, Trumptards . I an not #NeverTrump. I am #NeverHillary. Since the Democrats have seen fit to nominate Lucifer, Princess of Hades for the presidency I’d vote for Judas Iscariot to keep her out of the White House. But my criticisms would still stand. I’d still think it would have been important for Judas to get in front of that betrayal of Christ issue early in the campaign so Lucifer Clinton can’t use it distract from her record in the general election.

But given your man crush on your candidate, Trumptards, I can see how it would have played out. You would have accused me of being for Lucifer Clinton if I thought betraying Christ was any big deal. You’d claim the important thing was how many pieces of silver he made in the trade. That shows he’s a skilled negotiator, a successful businessman, and just the kind of deal maker we need in the White House. Yeah, that’s not a winning argument. Like so many of the “arguments” you’ve been making for Trump, that would tend to repulse people.

Trump won the night on Sunday. It’s probably too little to late. Should he lose on November 8th that’s mostly his fault. But if you want to see who else shares the blame, look in the mirror.
