WaPo: Yes, Hillary did SEND classified emails from private server

So much for main defense.

https://twitter.com/Bridget_PJM/status/633759714334085120

Remember since day one Hillary has insisted she never sent any classified information.

The boatload of classified emails she received she excuses by saying they were not “marked” classified. (That may not matter legally, but that’s another issue.)

Now, The Washington Post analyzed Hillary’s emails produced by the State Department but redacted because classified, and 104 of the emails were SENT BY HILLARY.

WaPo reports, Clinton, on her private server, wrote 104 emails the government says are classified:

Hillary Clinton wrote 104 emails that she sent using her private server while secretary of state that the government has since said contain classified information, according to a new Washington Post analysis of Clinton’s publicly released correspondence.

The finding is the first accounting of the Democratic presidential front-runner’s personal role in placing information now considered sensitive into insecure email during her State Department tenure. Clinton’s authorship of dozens of emails now considered classified could complicate her efforts to argue that she never put government secrets at risk.

In roughly three-quarters of those cases, officials have determined that material Clinton herself wrote in the body of email messages is classified. Clinton sometimes initiated the conversations but more often replied to aides or other officials with brief reactions to ongoing discussions….

The analysis did not account for 22 emails that the State Department has withheld entirely from public release because they are “top secret,” the highest level of classification.

It’s a Clinton. So, it totally depends on the definition of what classified is, right. <wink&rt;

You joke, but this is exactly where many of my liberal friends are going with the email scandal. As evidence mounts that she was clearly sending and receiving classified data, they are looking for escapes in the margins of the law. Eg “she has the authority to declassify data as sec of state”, ” most data is incorrectly overclassified anyway”, “it was classified at a later date”, and more. They are using their internet law degrees to affirm that although what she did was ”sketchy” it’s mostly not illegal.

      Simply solution.

Ask your liberal friends for their social security number so you can email it to them from an email server you will build and locate in your bathroom as a six year test of internet security.

If they are okay with you emailing them their own social security with all of their vital identity information, then they of course will be okay with Hillary.

This corrupt old crow has been smearing the public trust with feces since she first learned how to steal from it.

Time for Lynch to indict, or hold Obama directly accountable. (Hey, maybe Romney will give a speech!)

This woman should either be sharing a prison cell with Aldrich Ames or suffer the fate of Ethel Rosenberg.

Seriously, the fact that so many people are voting for this vile proto-felon is mind boggling to say the least and speaks very darkly for the future of the United States.

It’s 1860 all over again.

    It’s 1860 all over again.

    It’s more like 1844.

I suppose you mean fracturing parties, but it wwas only the Democcratic Party that fractured in 1860 – the Whig Party disappeared between 1852 and 1856.

Criminality and fascistic nature aside, let’s not forget her gross incompetence. Another reason not to vote for her.

      DaveGinOly in reply to TheFineReport.com. | March 6, 2016 at 3:03 pm

Her supporters can’t have it both ways – either she committed crimes or she’s guilty of gross incompetence, misfeasance, and/or is just plain stupid. She’s simply not qualified for any office of public trust.

Be careful here and think.

A lot of emails are replies, and the “classified” information could have been in the quoted material.

I am actually pretty sure she did wrong, bt as far as secrets are conecerned, it is more likely passing them along, either verbally over the phone, or forwarding them, (the searches she and her lawyers used did not search attachments)

The most obvious thing taht she did was passing along someone’s disinformation, which came via Sidney Blumenthal, and having Jake Sullivan circulate that throughout the upper echelons of the U.S. government and ambassadors, and ask for reports back on what they thought of it.

She might have reported back to Sidney Blumenthal what the reactions were – did they believe it, or did they not believe it, and how certain they were, or contemruous of the disinformation. But she would not have (at least routinely) done this in writing, even from her private e-mail address, but over the phone..

Ok. So instead of 100 years in prison, sentence her to 90.

    “Be careful here and think.”

No, Sammy, YOU be careful here, and read to the bottom of articles before you comment on them. Had you done that, you might have seen the following passage (quoted directly in Prof. Jacobson’s post) and saved yourself from embarrassment:

“In roughly THREE-QUARTERS of those cases, officials have determined that MATERIAL CLINTON HERSELF WROTE IN THE BODY OF E-MAIL MESSAGES IS CLASSIFIED.”

tom swift in reply to Sammy Finkelman. | March 6, 2016 at 10:12 am

the “classified” information could have been in the quoted material.

    So what?

Sending, receiving, giving it to her lawyer, or just leaving it lying around, she’s responsible for security.

When I was handling Classified materials there was no such thing as electronic transmission except faxes and that was verboten. All of the classified material came with a brightly colored front page that included a warning and sometimes the penalties for mishandling the material.

The warnings were stark. Prison 20 years, treason resulting in death penalty, big fines. It started there. I knew people who were fired for suspicion of mishandling not stealing, not copying, not giving away, not losing one page of material. Suspicion, not guilt.

There is a procedure for declassifying information. Just because she says it’s declassified doesn’t make it so. Same for the President. There’s still a procedure to follow. She didn’t she’s guilty.

Has anyone, at any time, ever asked Hillary how she actually conducted business at and for the State Department as Secretary of State? If she conducted all of her government business on and through her private email server, then either she CLEARLY committed felonies by keeping and sharing information that was deemed “classified” (though not necessarily marked so, as that specific term was NOT by the State Department or other government agencies to identify information that was necessary to keep secret) on an unsecured server and with unauthorized individuals, or, as Secretary of State, she NEVER received information or engaged in conversations relating to secret information whose disclosure to enemies could seriously endanger the U.S. government.

Thus, she’s clearly lying.

DaveGinOly in reply to DouglasJBender. | March 6, 2016 at 3:13 pm

You’re quite correct. Hillary can’t possibly argue that as SoS she could conduct her business without generating, sending, receiving, and storing classified information. If all her electronic business was conducted via her private server, it was logically unavoidable that classified information would travel through it and be stored on it. She must have known/understood this, even if she was incapable of identifying as classified specific information contained in those transmissions.

forksdad in reply to DouglasJBender. | March 8, 2016 at 1:33 pm

She will never be prosecuted by either party. She’s too high up and too untouchable. I’ll eat that indicted ham sandwich if she is.

If the present elected cannot see, identify and call out these criminal acts they are in fact undermining this Nation.

Lady Penguin in reply to OldSarg. | March 6, 2016 at 8:47 am

It’s a combination of a moral bankruptcy and lack of a moral compass (bread in our leftist public schools) which fuels such a state of affairs. When a woman who should have been indicted and least gone to trial for many criminal acts, long before before she became Sec. of State, can still be running around in a teflon pantsuit instead of an orange one, well then, that speaks more to success of the Leftist takeover of our major institutions, including through all levels of every government agency supposed to be a check and balance, and watchdogs.

We can blame Bush for the post Clinton years of failure to indict; now, it’s simply that the rule of law has been suspended in favor of a fascist controlled, racist, class warfare driven agenda.

Simply put, Hillary Clinton serves the Left’s purposes, and nothing will change that. (Unless, perhaps, we get someone in the presidency who will do some major table turning.)

An honorable person (I know, we’re speaking of Professional Politicians here where the only ‘honor’ is among thieves) would have stepped aside. But, we’re talking about a woman who, from the “Analysis of the Alinsky Model” to Cattle Futures, through Whitewater and the Rose Law Firm to Vince Foster and crony capitalism writ large, has no discernable honor. She is in this not for the country, but for herself.

One has to wonder if she and her cohort should be investigated under the RICO Statutes. She has certainly been the recipient of a great deal of money with very little work expended.

Nothing to see here (unfortunately). Move along.

Rep. Joaquin Castro, the twin brother of HUD secretary Julian Castro, proves he is dumber than a pile of rocks, when he claimed this morning on CNN that Hillary Clinton had been cleared by the Justice Department on the email scandal.

That feels like a trial balloon from Camp Clinton. See what the reaction would be if Justice takes no action. The guy is simply too dumb to pull it off properly.

I still think we’re going to get drip drip drip until she sews up the nomination, then Justice will pull out the rug and pave the way for Uncle Joe to ride in with Warren. The Bernie supporters will have a fit, but they will be brushed aside.

The establishment can’t have Bernie in the White House. They also can’t have Trump. Uncle Joe will be properly compliant and appeal to the moderates and Warren will enable the establishment to collect all but the Hillary and Bernie die hards.

Perhaps she will modify her claim once again to one where she now says she never sent anything that was marked classified. But, then agin, that would be more of a confession than an excuse.
