Brits Arrested for Planning Terror Attack on US Military

Today Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service revealed that it has charged two Muslim relatives with plotting to commit terror attacks against US military members stationed in the United Kingdom.
Junead Khan, 24, and his uncle Shazib Khan, 22, were arrested after authorities discovered that the two men were planning on traveling to Syria with the goal of joining Islamic State fighters there.

Sky News reported that the men were arrested a week ago in a joint operation between Bedfordshire Police and the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorist Command Unit and that armed police were involved in one of the arrests. Police say searches were carried out at two addresses in the Luton area as part of the operation which forms part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist-related terrorism.
“We have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest to charge Junead Khan and Shazib Khan with the intention of committing acts of terrorism,” said Deborah Walsh, of the Crown Prosecution Service. “It is alleged that Junead Khan and Shazib Khan had been planning on travelling to Syria to join the proscribed organization Islamic State in Levant.
Authorities believe that in addition to planning a join-up with ISIS fighters, the younger Juneau Khan had developed a plan to run over a US military member with a car and attack him with a knife—possibly while wearing a suicide vest.
The men are facing charges spanning two separate sets of dates. Khan’s attack plan was allegedly hatched between May 10 and July 14; the travel charges refer to the time between August 1, 2014 and May 10, 2015.
According to Fox, a third man was also arrested, but was released without being charged.
This news comes just one week after the brutal shooting rampage in Chattanooga that left 4 US Marines dead, and Americans questioning just how safe our servicemen really are, even when serving stateside.

Under no circumstances, were I to go and become a citizen of, say Syria (if that’s even possible), would I EVER be called a Syrian. And it’s not just the cavemen in the Middle East — if I became a French or Japanese citizen tomorrow, no one would refer to me as “French or Japanese.” Why are we affording these jackasses that respect? Or is it just a feeble, stupid attempt to hide the fact that they are “Asian” as the “Brits” would say?????
Oh my, and here I thought, when I read “Brits Arrested for Planning Terror Attacks” that their first names were something like George, William, Trevor, or Nigel.
