How Scared is the Mainstream Media of Scott Walker?

How Scared is the Mainstream Media of Scott Walker?

*This* scared.

The same mainstream media that refused to demand Obama’s (still undisclosed) Columbia University records in 2008 (while reassuring us that he was brilliant) has taken a keen interest in the academic pedigree of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

Professor Jacobson repeatedly reminds us that the MSM always tries to kill Republican candidacies in the cradle. The Washington Post did it with Rick Perry’s hunting property rock. Jeb Bush’s high school antics are fair game, as were Mitt Romney’s.

Now they’re trying to play the same game with Scott Walker’s unfinished college degree.

David A. Fahrenthold of the Washington Post wrote this yesterday:

As Scott Walker mulls White House bid, questions linger over college exit

Scott Walker was gone. Dropped out. And in the spring of his senior year.

In 1990, that news stunned his friends at Marquette University. Walker, the campus’s suit-wearing, Reagan-loving politico — who enjoyed the place so much that he had run for student body president — had left without graduating.

To most of the Class of 1990 — and, later, to Wisconsin’s political establishment — Walker’s decision to quit college has been a lingering mystery.

Not even his friends at Marquette were entirely sure why he never finished. Some had heard that a parent had fallen ill, or maybe there was some financial strain. Others thought he had simply had enough of school.

Walker clearly liked college politics more than college itself. He had managed to line up 47 campaign endorsements, including ones from the ski team and the varsity chorus, but he had trouble showing up on time for French.

And, after four years, he had faltered on both fronts. He’d lost an ugly race for president. And he apparently had far too few credits to graduate.

Allahpundit of Hot Air notes that journalists are already playing the requisite “gotcha” games with Scott Walker from which Democrats are always exempt.

Russ Smith of Splice Today laid it out plainly:

Mainstream Journalists Are Scared of Scott Walker

Unlike Jeb Bush, he could defeat Hillary Clinton.

Not all Democratic National Committee flacks disguised as reporters/pundits are as transparent as Michael Tomasky, who collects paychecks from The Daily Beast. Instead of dismissing the large field of potential Republican presidential candidates as “astonishingly weak” as Tomasky does in a Feb. 2 article headlined “GOP: Still the Party of Stupid,” others ask if a certain candidate (invariably described as “flavor of the month”) is “peaking too soon” in the very, very early polls.

There’s little question that most of the media will, after kicking her around some, favor Hillary Clinton in the primaries and, assuming she wins the nomination, the general election.

As I noted on my blog last night:

Rush Limbaugh has often said that the left will tell us exactly who they fear most.

The current object of their terror is clear.

I guess that Bill Gates will have to turn in his wealth since he too did not graduate from college. Oh and Rush Limbaugh is a failure also since he didn’t graduate. What do we know about obama’s tenure in any school? Did he actually graduate or was he given a degree for being a foreign minority student that was paid for by the Saudis? We will never know but we can rest assured that any anomaly by a Republican will be magnified to a scale that would destroy anyone.

We know, from Obama’s book, that he was a lazy and indifferent student at Occidental, and that he spent much of his time smoking weed, snorting blow (when he could afford it), and BS-ing with other Marxists in the student lounge. We also know that, despite his lackluster performance at Occidental, he was somehow able to transfer into Ivy League Columbia University as a junior.

We know that he was able to gain admission to Harvard Law, but we don’t know how much of that was due to his LSAT score and undergraduate grades, and how much was due to the Affirmative Action and legacy points (since his father, Obama Sr., had attended Harvard) that were added to his application.

We know that Obama has gone to great lengths to hide his college and law school records from public view, but we don’t know if that is because he is embarrassed about his grades, or because he fears disclosure of something else (e.g., having lied about being born in Kenya, perhaps, as he did on his publisher’s author’s bio sheet for so many years?).

So many unanswered questions about Obama’s academic record; so many incurious “journalists.”

      nomadic100 in reply to Observer. | February 12, 2015 at 1:09 pm

Not sure about those Harvard legacy points since his putative father was expelled from Harvard’s graduate school because of academic problems. That happened before “affirmative action.”

        Observer in reply to nomadic100. | February 12, 2015 at 3:36 pm

The junior Obama was the one who would have received the Affirmative Action and legacy points, and junior attended Harvard Law from 1988-1991 (a time when the law school was desperate for minority students).

MattMusson in reply to Observer. | February 12, 2015 at 2:48 pm

Obama’s Transcripts are at AREA 51! (With Michelle’s law license.)

If these same people had pressed as hard to find out the circumstances of Barry O leaving Occidental College after two years, or anything about his transfer to and subsequent 2 years at Columbia, they might have more credibility here.

Either a politician’s college history is a valid target for investigation, or it’s not. I don’t really care which one of those options they settle on, but it’s frankly a ridiculous look to have such completely different takes on the issue depending on whether the politician’s name is followed by a (D) or an (R).

    Spot. On.

I remember that John F’n Kerry was supposed to be some sort of intellectual giant, and George W. Bush was supposed to be stupid. John Kerry’s college transcript was not published until after the election, when it was disclosed that his grade point average was less than George Bush’s.

Oh, yeah. And the Obama campaign demanded, and got, John McCain’s citizenship papers, which then became the source of “controversy” because people had the nerve to argue that a baby born to a serviceman overseas was not qualified to run for the presidency. Ah, but it was unAmerican to demand a peek at Obama’s birth certificate, and then note that the one posted by the WH was an obvious fake.

Sammy Finkelman in reply to Valerie. | February 12, 2015 at 12:02 pm

The birth certificate the White House posted is not fake – it’s hard to write something that is not anachronistic, and what was released has got all sorts of 1961 touches.

What the birth certificate is, is new. The actual original one, if Obama still has it, and he probably doesn’t, would not be of any legal value today. Only a certified copy from state would be. Not only can old, original documents be forged (detectable maybe if examined by experts but who does that) nobody knows what an old birth certificate from a certain time and place is supposed to look like.

Henry Hawkins in reply to Sammy Finkelman. | February 12, 2015 at 1:12 pm

On the contrary, forensic document examiners have all sorts of databases and example libraries for these sorts of things, while the FBI has a national collection of document examples for this precise purpose.

Even an amateur would not experience much trouble finding people born in the same time and place who still have their original birth certificates for comparison. All it would take is an ad in the Honolulu newspaper offering a reward for one.

Sammy Finkelman in reply to Henry Hawkins. | February 16, 2015 at 1:29 pm

That’s what I was trying to say. Only an expert would be able to do this. Yes, you can detect a forgery like you could with an old painting. But the average ordinary person who was using he birth certificate for some routine purpose couldn’t and wouldn’t.

And as a result, they became legally worthless. People at the Candaian border or at the State Department just could not be ecpected to know or test all of this stuff.

HH> Even an amateur would not experience much trouble finding people born in the same time and place who still have their original birth certificates for comparison.

Sure – if you wanted to spend alot of money on this.

HH> All it would take is an ad in the Honolulu newspaper offering a reward for one.

Yes, probably. And I suspect Obama’s family no longer has that. But it is not necessary to have any more. They are legally worthless.

If he had it, maybe he would have done that. And let Donald Trump spend thousands of dollars authenticating it – which you might do for a very famous person – so I suspect it was lost.

At the time he was born, the state of Hawaii paid for an advertisement printing all birth in Hawaii in the newspaper, and Barack Hussein Obama II (or some similar version of his name) is one of them. Neither is any logical reason whatsoever for him not to be born in the United states. Neither does it matter.

      Sammy,
Are you referring to the Fake short form Birth Certificate, or the Fake long form Birth Certificate? Please clarify.

Did you know that you can download the Fake long form PDF from whitehouse.gov all by yourself? I have and when you open it you can actually copy the whole image in your “clipboard” (assuming you are using a windows PC). Try pasting that image into MS Word, or Excel, Paint, or even a different PDF compatible program; I don’t care, you choose.

Somehow, only parts of the document get pasted into the program you are using.
      * Only the last “one” from the “61 10641” reg # carry over.
      * Some signatures paste over but others don’t.
      * Throughout the pasted image, we see the white outline of where the black text was moments ago.

What just happened? Dan Rather’s fake document regarding George Bush’s Texas Air National Guard service was of higher quality and much more convincing.

Ever since this Fake document comprised of several layers was presented to us peasants, I’ve never been able to get ANY PDF program or scanner to magically create multiple layers, or selectively choose certain characters over others when using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) aka Text Recognition.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio can explain his findings via their website which coincidentally the mainstream media is avoiding like Ebola. See the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office link below. Or keep chugging the Kool-Aid.

SF> What the birth certificate is, is new

MiM> Are you referring to the Fake short form Birth Certificate, or the Fake long form Birth Certificate? Please clarify.

        I’m referring to this:

        http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/rss_viewer/birth-certificate-long-form.pdf

MiM> Did you know that you can download the Fake long form PDF from whitehouse.gov all by yourself?

Well, yes, like any web page.

MiM> I have and when you open it

In what program? It’s a PDF filke, so Adobe Acrobat I suppose.

MiM> you can actually copy the whole image in our “clipboard” (assuming you are using a windows PC).

You would use Ctrl-C, or Ctrl-X, followed by Ctrl-V to paste.

MiM> Try pasting that image into MS Word, or Excel, Paint, or even a different PDF compatible program; I don’t care, you choose.

I may try Microsoft word. PDF text can be cut and pasted.

I tried WordPad and it’s mostly green background. There is some white and you can tell it’s the words.

Some things, like a capital letter R over the R in BARACK in the second line, stand out. Looking at the whitehouse.gov version, the R appears to be fainter there.

MiM> Somehow, only parts of the document get pasted into the program you are using.

        * Only the last “one” from the “61 10641” reg # carry over.

That’s the only digit that comes out in black. But you can see the outlines of the others. Again, in whitehouse.gov, it’s slightly faded.

        * Some signatures paste over but others don’t.

I see a couple of stray letters throughout the document that are black.

All three signatures appear to be black, except that his mother signature is not black beyond the first D of “Dunham”

        * Throughout the pasted image, we see the white outline of where the black text was moments ago.

Whatever is not black, and even what is black, I think, appears also in white. The white letters are larger, and barely distinguishable.

        MiM> What just happened?

I don’t know It seems like somebody prepared something where what looked faded would be emphasized, and then decided not to use it.

The document itself, screams – SCREAMS – that it is authentic. It goes beyond what anyone would think to imagine.

For instance: Barack Obama’s mother first signed her name Ann Dunham Obama. Apparently somebody found fault with that and she squeezed in a “Stanley” above the “Ann” Everybody knows she didn’t like that male sounding name “Stanley.”

And, if you notice, the date the attendant (doctor) signed it, and date it is stamped – Aug 8, 1961 – is one day later than the date next to Stanley Ann Dunham Obama’s signature, which is 8-7-61.

Clearly her original signature was rejected, and she had to put down Stanley, and that caused a delay of one day in the issuance of the birth certificate.

There is also the fact that the race of the father is “African” or the curious naming of Barack Obama as Barack Hussein Obama II instead of Jr.

And if you want to say a brilliant forger thought of this shortly before April 25, 2011 (the date on the certified copy – notice the date on that birth certificate? The finished document says it is from 2011, not 1961) why didn’t anybody call attenton to it?

President Obama’s press office didn’t even have to point that out – they could have mentioned it to some friendly reporter or blogger. Why add this brilliant authentic note, if you weren’t going to use it?

But no, they didn’t realize these little points of proof of genuiness themselves. If something is really genuine, there can be all kinds of arguments you don’t realize. And others may not pick up on. But if you work in a fake proof of authenticity, you surely are going to want somebody to notice it, aren’t you? But nobody important did.

What happened is, someone took a photograph of the original document – notice the page is bent a little bit to the left, because this is bound in some book – and worked with it a little, including giving the new photo a green background of the sort that could appear on a check where also you want to prevent forgeries.

“…nobody knows what an old birth certificate from a certain time and place is supposed to look like.”

I know what mine is supposed to look like. Are you a complete idiot?

“Walker clearly liked college politics more than college itself.”

“Clearly”…???

WTF does that sentence even mean? It’s like saying, “Walker liked dinner meat courses more than dinner itself”.

The guy found his niche, and he got a good-paying job as I understand the story.

Which are two achievements our iconic PhD student of “critical dance theory” will NEVER have.

legacyrepublican in reply to Ragspierre. | February 12, 2015 at 12:16 pm

The sentence reveals more about the author, Fitzgerald, than Walker.

Clearly, the author wants to lead a political witch hunt more than doing actual journalism.

So, the one hint Fitzgerald gives us about where he hopes to trip Walker is his reference to the discount given to voters for Walker for college president at the pizzeria.

Look for the MSM to pour over his campaign financing to the nth degree. And, even if they don’t find anything, they will turn nothing into something.

And look at the writing expended in trying to gin up a “mystery” about Walker leaving college.

“Not even his friends at Marquette were entirely sure why he never finished. Some had heard that a parent had fallen ill, or maybe there was some financial strain. Others thought he had simply had enough of school.”

(Cue spooky music and voice-over by Leonard Nimoy)

“Some of his friends feared he had been abducted by aliens, or had left to hide his pregnancy… We may never know, but the truth is out there…”

        Gremlin1974 in reply to Ragspierre. | February 12, 2015 at 5:56 pm

I also have always liked when they use the vague and ambiguous “friends”, without telling us who these “friends” really are. Which “friends” did they talk to? What were the “friends” names? What friends really means is someone they found who they can nominally prove was at the University at the same time who will tell them they don’t know why Walker left school.

Its kind of like the National Enquirer and its “Sources” most of whom are people they pay 20 bucks to say what they want them to say.

P.S. Don’t browse the 5000+ comments to that WaPoo article if you have any care for your sanity.

I don’t know if it fear that motivates the MSM coverage of Scott Walker. Possibly, but I think it’s just the way the MSM operates: relentlessly demonize and dehumanize anyone with an “R” after their name. Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Ronald Reagan, Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Ted Cruz, George W. Bush, Chris Cristie, Rick Perry – each of these at one time or another the MSM has portrayed as Hitler reincarnated. No Republican is immune.

Right now Walker is perceived as being on top, so the lying partisan hacks who call themselves journalists have targeted him for political extinction. Next week the MSM lynch mob may well settle on someone else. The target is always changing: only the hate is constant.

I have 7 years of “education” from a supposedly elite “national” university and law school, and I have no problem with Walker’s lack of a college degree. Indeed, it may be a plus from my point of view.

Karen Sacandy in reply to Rick. | February 12, 2015 at 9:23 pm

I have to say, I agree with you. My years at college and law school, good grief, the socialists run amok! The garbage!

Sammy Finkelman | February 12, 2015 at 11:57 am

Most likely, political operatives are responsible for stories about the fact that Walker dropped out of college.

I have a Ph.D in psychology that consists of the biggest bunch of hooey you ever heard, such is the state of the field. Can’t speak for other disciplines, but for psychology, a Ph.D is not a measure of knowledge and expertise, rather, it is a measure of tenacity in obtaining a Ph.D and little more.

Walker already addressed this and it dovetails with a LOT of average Americans: he quit college during his senior year to take a good job with the American Red Cross, intending to finish his degree as best he could while working. In the meantime, wife, kids, and family needs preempted his return to school. This describes the educational careers/lives of boatloads of Americans. It is only a negative to elitists.

In the comment section of a recent LI post on this topic I posted a long list of lefty politicians, Hollywood bloviators, activists, and media talking heads who likewise did not graduate from college. I better dig that up for when one of them commits hypocrisy in denigrating Walker’s education.

To the Washington, DC Ivy League elitists from both the Democrat and Republican parties, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker must look like a dog who not only walks and talks, but does so better than they do.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Jeb Bush and the part of the republican party that think they rule the world had a hand in this too.

Just remember what they did to Newt Gingrich leading up to the Florida primary. And what they did to Chris McDaniel in Mississippi.

David R. Graham | February 12, 2015 at 12:57 pm

Democrats engage in warfare and win. Republicans engage in politics and lose. One kills. The other manipulates. So the struggle is uneven and favors the one willing to kill. Republicans accuse Democrats of not treating a warring foreign enemy as the killer they are but do not treat their warring domestic Democratic enemy as the killer they are. So Republicans are putzes. Or tacit Democrats. Americans love a winner and hate a loser. With luck, Scott Walker worships at the shrine of Lee Atwater.

Maybe Scott dropped out of college because he couldn’t pass basic biology without answering test questions about Evolution… as he refused to do when asked by a British TV host interviewing him a few days ago if he believed in human evolution or not. Scott only offered an evasive non-reply. Unfortunately there wasn’t time for a follow up question from the host, on whether or not his guest believed the world was flat…

Also, the assertion that only Republicans are targeted by the media is B.S. They swoop like vultures at any weakness or impropriety from Liberals or Conservatives. That includes past Democratic presidential candidates — like the mocking attack on the Howard “Dean Scream” when he was running; and the pillorying of John Edwards by the media for his extramarital activities; and recently the excoriation of Dennis Kucinich for suing a Congressional cafeteria because of an olive pit in a sandwich he bit into. And so on and so forth.

Both the self-righteous Right and the politically-correct Left are guilty of the same nip-picking character assassinations.

Henry Hawkins in reply to jayjerome66. | February 12, 2015 at 1:15 pm

I’d remind that John Edwards was a media darling until the National Inquirer, that bastion of American journalism, broke the story on Edwards.

The media goes after Republicans whenever it can, but Democrats only when it is forced to.

Observer in reply to MTED. | February 12, 2015 at 3:46 pm

Evasions to direct questions are perfectly acceptable, so long as a Democrat is The One doing it.

Outright lying about your positions on controversial issues is also perfectly acceptable (as, for example, saying your Christian religious beliefs prevent you from supporting gay marriage, then later admitting that you really supported it all along, but couldn’t say that for fear of alienating black voters) — but again, only if a Democrat is The One doing the lying.

        Ragspierre in reply to jayjerome66. | February 12, 2015 at 1:58 pm

It was a straight forward question, smuck. I watched the entire interview, did you? The host was surprised at the non-answer – saying that any British politician would have answered immediately. Scott also punted on other political questions: about ISIS, his 2016 political aspirations, etc — because his handlers warned him against it. Good political strategy, perhaps, to not put his foot i his mouth; but not an encouraging indication he’ll be a candidate who tells you what he really thinks without filtering it.

When it comes to boob-like predictability, you’re at the top of the heap. How many times are you going to use that same tired description of Hillary Clinton’s eyes? You’re like some snide bitter teenager defacing a photo in the school yearbook.

Here, I’ll punk you MORE explicitly.

You don’t ask, “Do you believe in (scientific theory x)?”.

See, moron, the two concepts (belief and science) are at logger-heads. Scientists don’t “believe” in a theory if they are…you know…SCIENTISTS. They will say it is supported by certain data. But BELIEF is founded in faith, and is certainly a subjective state of mind.

PLUS, to be REMOTELY intelligent OR straightforward, the question would have differentiated between INTRA-species evolution and INTER-species evolution.

Always FUN to use you like this!

“Maybe Scott dropped out of college because he couldn’t pass basic biology…”

Like the majority of Americans, my views are not strictly left or right. I want the country to work better, but the jerks on the right and the jerks on the left keep pulling it further apart. It’s the constant negativity and hatred from both fringes that’s ruining the process. There’s a lot of commonality of opinion between moderate Republicans and moderate Democrats — it’s the pc left, and the conservative right — that means you kneejerk posters who disparage Liberals and RINOS alike– who keep screwing it up for the rest of us.

          Reply to Henry Hawkins: EXACTLY.

“Also, the assertion that only Republicans are targeted by the media is B.S.”

Sure it is moron, which is why we now know more about Scott Walkers university education then we know about 0boma’s.

Maybe Scott dropped out of college because he couldn’t pass basic biology without answering test questions about Evolution…

Really? You wouldn’t happen to have the evidence to back up such a claim, would you? Or is this the tired “Everybody knows…” diversion again the Left whips put when unable to provide proof?

“Both the self-righteous Right and the politically-correct Left are guilty of the same nip-picking character assassinations.”

This statement reminds me of you. You are projecting all of the same things and you haven’t added anything positive either.

We know more about Scott Walker now, two years BEFORE his inauguration(!), than we do about barack obama six years AFTER his!

Walker/Fiorina ’16. The second slot is not my first choice, but it’s a wining ticket.

Henry Hawkins in reply to MTED. | February 12, 2015 at 2:16 pm

If it’s a female sought for VP slot, at least go with another governor, Susana Martinez of New Mexico.

Gremlin1974 in reply to Henry Hawkins. | February 12, 2015 at 6:18 pm

Actually I prefer Walker/Carson. There seems to be this growing undercurrent for the next President that a Woman must end up being the Pres, or the VP. How about we just look for qualified people and leave gender out of it? (NOTE: I am not saying that Martinez isn’t qualified, I just disagree with the seeming thought that a Woman in one of the two top spots is pre-ordained.)

Henry Hawkins in reply to Gremlin1974. | February 12, 2015 at 7:08 pm

Read my post. I said “if” a woman is sought for VP, why not… in response to the post above. I am a meritocrat – best person available regardless of, yada yada.

I’m anxious to see how Mr. Walker handles this issue. Remember, this is the guy who has bitch-slapped the prog drone army three times now. They’ve come at him with all they could muster, and he gave them the dirty-sanchez every time… it seems perhaps they like it.

If I were him I would call a press conference on the topic of his college record… and once all the cameras were rolling I’d effectively say “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.” Call The Boy King and his court jesters out on the carpet. Let’s have a show-n-tell of EVERYTHING in life from birth to now… for every piece I show, our POTUS shows his. And then turn the tables on them and expose them for their one-sided bullshit.

Call their bluff and expose them for the spineless shilling sycophants that they are.

Henry Hawkins in reply to Paul. | February 12, 2015 at 2:25 pm

That’s exactly what his opposition wants him to do – take the bait and legitimize a bullshit hack attack. Once taken, they’ll tangle him in knots trying to knock him off for 2016. No, he did the right thing. He’s explained why he never finished his degree and he’s moved on, as he should. Here’s what he said and he needn’t say any more:

“During my senior year at Marquette University, I was offered a full-time job at the American Red Cross. I thought I would squeeze in a course here or there and finish things off in a year or two, but then Tonette and I got married. Next thing you know, you’re putting all your extra time and money into your kids.”

(This is from one of his Wisconsin State of the State speeches).

“Tonette and I got married. Next thing you know, you’re putting all your extra time and money into your kids.”

And you’re defending this?!? What an absurd set of priorities. (As if anyone has to be punished by pregnancy any more.)

And I hear he’s a vampire who took a job with the Red Cross because of their access to donated blood.

I am only mildly curious as to what you gain out of being an ass.

Prof. J.’s star has been rising faster and shining brighter as he and his staff/contributors at L.I. in their achievement for being a highly sought out source for current social and political news and analysis. You find many more times where L.I. and Prof. J. are being sourced and reprinted in high traffic sites as was the case today at Real Clear Politics.

My observation on this portion, Comments, as that star shines brighter and brighter, and L.I.’s following has grown larger as reflected in this section, there has come with it a growing traffic of trolls which have drifted in on the “rising tide”, if only out of curiosity.

“JJ” seems to be a perfect example as shown in the current thread of not knowing his audience before taking exception and countering an attack. A typical leftist troll. So in keeping with the sentiment I would like to honor JJ “The Golden Troll Award” for being that A-hole.

So you’re basically advocating the same strategy that McCain and Romney tried against the Dim Press smear machine. And Dole before them. Sure, that’s been proven to work so well, hasn’t it?

There are a lot of us who are sick of candidates who let themselves be pushed around. What I want to see is some Willie-Horton, Swift-Boat style aggressive tactics. And not from some sideshow candidate but from the actual Republican nominee. Or hell, the whole lot of them in unison during the nominating cycle would be even more effective.

It’s been open warfare by the press against conservatives for a LONG time and the Republicans just let themselves get pushed around. If they’d just show some backbone they’d be amazed at the turn-out they would get.

Your approach is a demonstrated, known loser.

Were you one of those cheering Trump on in his head-to-head birth certificate clownshow, Paul?

Remind me again how that worked out for y’all.

I’m not sure who the ya’ll is that you’re referring to; Trump never was and never will be my candidate.

It was the Republican Party that nominated another squish candidate who didn’t know when to go on the offensive. Instead of going for the kill in Debate 3 he rolled over and showed his belly, wagged his tail and piddled on the rug.

Candidate’s backgrounds have always been fair game, but the Republicans, in both elections against this clown, have allowed the opposition press to set the agenda, framing absurd narratives that put Obama’s past off limits. And the Republicans, by not being aggressive, allowed themselves to be punked.

How did that work out for YOU? Happy with your hope and change yet?

So Trump’s big birther clown show worked so well that you not only think Romney should have emulated it, but that Walker should use this highly successful strategy as his political paradigm as well?

        Tee hee.

Um, reading comprehension not your strong suite, eh?

Trump was your straw-man Dorothy, not mine.

What I’ve been posting about from the beginning is being aggressive against a slanted press narrative.

You’re the one with the Trump obsession, and apparently in the camp of “heaven’s me, we can’t say THAT because it might OFFEND somebody!” Which of course plays right into the prog trap.

Tee hee right back ‘atcha sister.

Scott Walker failed to graduate from college. So, the Left’s complaint is that he is insufficiently brainwashed. Does the Left think that conservatives will see that as a drawback?

    Gremlin1974 in reply to UrbanBard. | February 12, 2015 at 6:22 pm

Not trying to start anything, but Walker didn’t “fail to graduate” he chose to leave school for a job that isn’t the same as “failing to graduate”. I know it is just semantics but its semantics that matters when you are talking about political discussions.

Scott Walker was elected governor of Wisconsin three times in four years. Not just the Wisconsin Democrat Party, but the entire national DNC did their best to dig the dirt to knock him out. They failed. Found nothing. Walker is pre-vetted for 2016, thank you very much, Democrats.

The left is not concerned about a potential president who is undereducated. The left is pissed that some flyover peasant shepherd with a high school diploma is whipping their collective asses, and whipping it over and over and over.

Take it as a sign of their fear and frustration that this is all they can come up with against Walker.

Branco cartoon suggestion, explaining the left’s fear of Walker:

Scott Walker in dignified pose, but the shadow on the ground is Ronald Reagan.

Scott Walker has shown that he is eminently qualified for national office. For whatever it’s worth, that degree-chase is an overrated activity. Oh sure, it can open some doors but not all of them – and some of the theoretically closed can be opened even if you don’t have that soi disant magic document. (See Henry’s list.)

I stopped chasing a degree after two years; I discovered that knowledge was more important to me than a note saying I were edyoukated. However, I stuck around the campus for another year auditing courses in subjects that interested me. Looking back now on two successful careers (retired from both) it’s been a good life, my family is comfortable and not in want, and I have never stopped studying things that interest me. While I was never the CEO of a Silicon Valley tech firm, nor the governor of Pennsyltucky, my lack of that degree doesn’t seem to have hurt me much.

Henry’s list is going into my wallet for reference, to be pulled out and used when anyone states or implies that the lack of a sheepskin is a disqualifier for anything requiring a modicum of intellect.

Brian Williams, who according to Wiki attended three different colleges without graduating from any of them and managed to collect a whopping total of 18 credits for his trouble, was not available for comment.

Expected caution troll story on MSNBC/WaPo/NYT/LAT/etc:

Other people who, like Scott Walker, don’t have university degrees:

Adolph Hitler
Charles Manson
Saddam Hussein
Justin Bieber
Ghengis Khan
Jesse Helms
Billy The Kid
Joseph Stalin
Pol Pot
Anna Nicole Smith
Joe The Plumber

I knew you were anxiously wanting to know Henry 🙂 – my Nero thumb started working again tonight! For some reason I haven’t been able to use it until just now. I don’t think my thumb has SPD. In any case I gave you thumbs up on your comments and this even though I do not have a degree or a pedigree or a pedicure.
Over the years I have taken many college level courses but I am more of an autodidact. I study on my own. I am interested in way too many things to be tied down to one subject.
Four kids and family life has also been a major social, economic and diplomatic education and one that no college course could ever teach. I would say that this would be true for any parent, Scott Walker included.

When my youngest went off to UNC three years ago I told her that UNC can only give her a diploma, that her education only begins when she graduates and begins working and living.
