TPM reports, ‘Archie’ Will Die Saving Gay Friend In Comic Book:
Archie Andrews will die taking a bullet for his gay best friend.
The famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesday’s installment of “Life with Archie” when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics’ first openly gay character. Andrews’ death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.
“The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie,” said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. “He dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us. It’s what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years.”
Mediaite notes how loaded the ending storyline is with political correctness:
All of the hot topics of today are involved in the storyline: the death takes place in a future where Archie, Betty, Veronica, and everyone else are all adults, and Kevin Keller, the first openly gay character in the comics, is now a US Senator fighting for gun control.
There’s so much that could have been done with this.
Why didn’t Archie, on his last day on this earth, invent a cure for global warming?
Or maybe he did. We’ll have to wait and see when it’s published.
I think I’ll miss it. Just like I missed every other Archie story.

These characters are all Satanists. They have to be.
Any group of near-octogenarians who have not blown up like the Michelin man, lost their hair, got wrinkles, turned gray or gotten appreciably older must have sold their souls to the devil.

So maybe a strong Christian character … did Archie stories ever have one of those? This would be a good opportunity to destroy any Christian images of Riverdale, and turn it into a wholly PC baptized town.

All this recent PC crap in the comics is a marketing tool to get (liberal) adults to buy them.
Archie has become one of the worst offenders, surprising for what was once the most innocent comic story line this side of Baby Huey and Richie Rich.
Archie’s “gay best friend” … perhaps that explains why Archie never kicked Veronica’s ass to the curb and ran off with Betty … I read just 2 or 3 Archie comics as a kid which was more than enough to peg him for a moron …
Since this is going to be “adult Archie,” are we finally going to get to see Betty & Veronica naked, preferably engaged in some tasteful girl-on-girl activities?

Alternative ending: Archie is licensed to carry … pulls the gun and shoots the terrorist after he fires a couple rounds, with terrorist yelling Alla Akbar. hurray for the constitution
or: Terrorist is a nut dressed as batman … shooting up a gun free zone theater, Betty and Veronica are both carrying anyway, take him down quickly … theater owner thanks them, promises to allow guns from now on.
Reminds me of 1944 when Archie Gobbels was gunned down and died heroically for the Fatherland after being shot by a rabidly communistic subhuman fanatic named Judenhead.

With all this hoopla over the tragic end of Archie, what about the very recent pronouncement that Jihadists, on an extended jihad stay away from home and hearth, may practice “anal jihad?”
Does that mean that they, the “anal jihadists” may not be accused of being homosexuals in the face of Sharia Law? In fact how does Islam define those who participate in same sex intimate relationships or is that different from the new kind of jihad?
No matter how rigid the Islamic “moral” code may appear, there is virtually no rule in it that may not be violated by the faithful in the interest of extending and tightening the power of Mohammedans over other people.
The core principle of Islam is that Muslims are to be the dominant power on earth. Everything else is negotiable.

Basically – men at the comic have been so badly treated they filed a sexual harrassment suit.
The CEO has said they have no standing because White Men are not a protected class, and cannot be discriminated against.
