A Bill Clinton public apology to Lewinsky would be epic theater of the absurd

A Bill Clinton public apology to Lewinsky would be epic theater of the absurd

Which is precisely why we need it

Please let this happen.

From Michael Sneed at The Chicago Sun-Times:

The Lewinsky affair . . .

Is Bubba about to blubber?

Sneed hears rumbles former President Bill Clinton, who lied about his affair with White House intern Monica “That Woman” Lewinsky, may opt to publicly apologize for the abuse Lewinsky claims she’s endured since the sex scandal broke more than 15 years ago.

◆ The rationale? To fend off critics of his wife Hillary who blame her for protecting a powerful husband who is a sexual predator. Hillary Clinton is eyeing a 2016 presidential bid.

◆ The big question: Will Bill “I love an audience” Clinton choose to apologize to Lewinsky and his wife for the mess he placed in their lives — and appeal for forgiveness — in order to put the past behind him before his first grandchild is born . . . and reap a lotta love for being a penitent?

Only in America. Stay tuned.

I guess it depends on what the meaning of the word Apologize is.

There are many names I’ve grown so, so tired of hearing and ‘Clinton’ is in the top five, at least.

It all happened too long ago for serious comment. For unserious comment, occasionally reminding people of how adolescent Clinton’s sexual fantasies were (inserting a cigar in Ms Lewinsky and then smoking it – really?) might be comedy gold.

Major missteps by old presidents aren’t nullified by the passage of time; they can only be corrected by subsequent action. FDR’s Executive Order 9066 made concentration camps for Americans official government policy until rescinded by Ford over thirty years later. Clinton’s perjury under oath is, I suspect, still Democratic policy more than a decade later.

A game of grabass under the Resolute desk might be trivial now, but that’s not a change with time; like nearly everything Clinton did, it was trivial when it happened.

Lessee…

Ball-less Bill, serial abuser of MANY wimmins, aided by his enabling “wife”…

and a man we know would rather climb a tree to tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth…

apology?

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA.

how stupid would you have to be to believe anything this worthless SoS said?

dumb enough to vote Demonrat, of course.

How about an apology for raping Juanita Broaddrick?

In my dream of dreams, the Clintons go ahead with this public apology, but of course Lewinsky is no child anymore – she’s 40 years old – so she insists on a preliminary meeting to set things up and sign the contract. Now Bill, for obvious reasons, hasn’t seen Monica in a very long time, and when he does, it’s sort of like seeing one’s senior prom date 20 years later. Bill looks into Monica’s eyes and she into his, and the next thing you know, well……………..

Not to change the subject but….. with global warming there will be a shortage of ice to put on rape victims lips.

At the time the Lewinsky story broke I attended a speech by Dick Armey on tax reform. He opened by noting the scandal. He went on to say that as they watched the President on the morning news his long time wife turned to him and said “Honey, if you ever do something like that I will have only one question. How do you reload this thing?

All this does is to remind people of the sleaze they disliked during the Clinton years. The media conveniently forgets that Bill’s high water mark was 49.2% of the vote in 1996 against the weakest Republican challenger within memory.

Sorry, but I don’t… DON’T want to see anything named “Clinton” near the White House for the next 40 50 years of my life.

As for Monica… She has had to live with the embarrassment all this time. Job offers cancelled, or not coming, or her resume not even considered – imagine living like a pariah because of those two sleazebags. A darned good degree from the London School of Economics, but for what? So that the word “Clinton” be thrown back at your face every single time? That, so far, has been her life.

Frankly, I feel sorry for her. She has obviously made many mistakes. But I thought she’d be able to start over and live a nice, decent life, with a career, a nice man at her side and some peace of mind. But that could never be possible for her with the word “Clinton” hanging over her like a dagger. That word alone has made many men run away from her. That is the reason why I think she’s doing this now: to reclaim all that the Clintons have taken away from her.

Monica at least survived with her life. That’s more than some of the Clintons’ victims were given.

My how Billy Jeff looks like his father in that photograph…and acted like him too…a taste for interns and philandering and a general disrespect for women must be hereditary.

It is going to be interesting to see if Hillary will try to minimize Benghazi because it happened four years before her presumed presidential run. It would seem to be difficult to claim “what difference does it make now” if they want to resurrect what happened a decade and a half ago.

Monica Lewinski – I. thought it was a KGB plot. Even more so now that I read the LSE degree.

If he is going to do this, I would prefer the theater to be done Kabuki style.

check this out starting at 4:23 and this would be Bill in his apology roll (including costume and dance). Hillary could be in a dragon costume dancing around with Monica as a maiden in a blue dress in the background.

I still would not vote for Hillary but I certainly would watch the apology.

How about apologizing to all of the victim of travelgate and filegate? Hillary too.

How about going to jail for the above?
