From Jan T., taken in Gig Harbor, Washington State:

Since you kindly published my last one (a Prius with an obnoxious bumper sticker), I’m encouraged to send you another …

I would title the car photo ‘Cognitive Dissonance’ or ‘Juxtaposition’….

Keep up the good work. I read all of your blog daily.

The correct term is “doublethink.”

Typical liberal, hates families.

The gunship stick-figure images are quite popular here in NW Florida, where we have AC-130s overhead on a daily basis. Granted, we don’t seem to have the same conflicts regarding peace, coexistence, and the use of airpower as this car owner, but we do share the same humorous distain over the proliferation of stick-figure families on minivans.

Several hints that this person is also a strong supporter of abortion. Taken in totality, I would guess this person would sneer at the very idea of a hetero-normative and monogamous family.

One down, five to go?

This person has issues with the “breeders.”

Does being a conservative mean you lose your sense of humor? I find this quite amusing on several levels. One is that the decal goes after the stick figure mini-craze just like Rush Limbaugh went aster the ribbon wearers a couple of decades ago. He said it was trying to one-up others and show that “I care more than you.” How is this not the ultimate one-up?

And then there’s the coexist sticker right underneath. Unintended consequences or very slick planning? Again, quite humorous.

Since I’m near Gig Harbor, I’ll keep my eyes open for this car. It would help if I knew where the pic was taken. If I find the car, I intend to put one of our tea party business cards under the wiper.

You have no evidence that displaying a stick-figure family is in any way an attempt to “one-up” others.
Why read such a motive into this? Why can it not simply an innocent expression of familial love?

Notice that the car owner chose to have the gov provide the solution for what he/she finds irritating.

Abortion. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing.

Are you with me, hippies? It’s not just about money, sex, ego, convenience, and population control. Is it?

It’s curious that the worst mass murderers, rapists, and slavers of the 20th century, atheists, under the flags of communism and socialism, are not remembered for their contribution to unprecedented human and civil rights violations.

Coexist? Indeed. They are only equaled by Islamic imperialists in their need to dominate and degrade men and women, from conception to death.

Perhaps we need another standard to judge the value of various cults and religions. Especially those who whisper sweet utopias in your ear, or predict and exploit the end of the world.

I’m with platypus….it’s obviously meant to be a joke. Not a great one, but it’s obviously a liberal so I’m sure he sees it as the epitome of wit.

AC-130 Specter rocks! I really WANT one of these!

It goes next to my “peace symbol,” which is one of those where the part inside the circle is a B52.

I think this hippie doesn’t understand a whole demographic out here!
