Snowden for President
The implication of the latest “leak” (spying on the Russians et al) is that we’re bad for doing that. In the real world, everybody is spying on everybody all the time. I’m not concerned or ashamed of this particular leak.
I’m not yet ready to crown Snowden as a hero. The major concern I have is that he seems to have chosen one of the most repressive countries in the world (China) to be BFFs with…Hong Kong not withstanding. I’m withholding opinion on his motivations for awhile longer.
His answers have made sense so far, e.g., his reasoning to go to Hong Kong and not, say, Iceland. He betrays a typical libertarian blind spot when it comes to the Left (implying that the leftist US media red baits regarding China). I know little about him but have found his responses impressive.
