Whether or not the various scandals are “Watergate” is a mistaken way of looking at the scandals, because we should not expect any presidency to be unhappy in the way other presidencies have been unhappy.
The Obama second term is unhappy in its own way.

A few years ago when my pup, Tuc, was only about 6 months old I came home from shopping and with out thinking set a grocery bag on the floor while I answered the phone. When I came back into the kitchen Tuc ran out with one of my rib eyes hanging out of his mouth. I started to chase him but as I have a dog door he got away. Instead I picked up the bag and looked for the other rib eye. There was no other rib eye, he had eaten that one while I was on the phone.
The point of that story is that now every time anyone brings in a bag he is on point – hoping to re-live the glory.
I mean no disrespect to Bob Woodward, and I agree: Obama second term is unhappy in its own way.
Yes, you can claim the Republicans are being political in pursuing Benghazi but the deception and cover-up by Obama, by Hillary and Rice were surely for political reasons also and may have swayed enough votes to affect the last election. But even more important than their lies they let four people die with no effort made to help. I still believe that Ambassador Stevens was set up to be kidnapped and was supposed to be traded for the blind sheik by Obama but the terrorists felt betrayed by Obama when they met real resistance and killed the ambassador in revenge.
The Mushroom Media has a cute lil’ trick they are using a lot.
They differentiate between “State” and the “White House”, or sometimes “the administration”.
EVERY-FLUCKING-BODY in that email exchange where they colluded to HIDE the details KNOWN by “the aministration”
WAS the ADMINISTRATION.
When Nuland EXPRESSLY, OVERTLY said, “Let’s take this out so the “‘Members'” won’t use it against State”…openly demanding a coverup…NOBODY objected.
EVERYBODY colluded. Then AND later.

Absolutely. Plus, there is the “toxic” allusion, and they are a form of fungus. And, much as I like REAL, edible mushrooms…they have almost no nutritional value. So…

Who died as a result of the break in at the Watergate Hotel? Could it be that this old guy just loves bringing up Watergate because it reminds everybody of the way he and his buddy and his papered deceived the country while bringing down a President he didn’t like? Self aggrandizement.
