Ethnic cleansing in #Syria in real time

Ethnic cleansing in #Syria in real time

Michael Weiss at Lebanon NOW reports, Rise of the militias:

The use of chemical weapons and Obama’s fudged “red line” has given way to gruesome footage of a schismatic Syrian rebel commander biting into the lung of a slain Hezbollah fighter and vowing revenge against Assadist soldiers. Such is the international press’ attention span that the far more significant development in Syria has gone almost entirely unnoticed. The al-Bayda and Baniyas massacres that occurred earlier this month were not just crimes against humanity; they signaled the clearest evidence to date of the regime’s transformation from a conventional military force into a consortium of sectarian Alawite-Shiite militias, which have been trained and financed by Iran, or reactivated after years of desuetude. Unlike the Syrian Army, which has claimed to be fighting a nationalist battle against foreign-backed interests, these armed proxies make no pretense about their true objective: to ethnically cleanse Syria’s Sunni population in the strategically vital western corridor of the country.

On May 2, around 400 people were slaughtered, and possibly as many as 800 disappeared, in the Syrian coastal hamlet of al-Bayda. Of those killed, 200 were buried in a mass grave in which only 150 bodies were identifiable, the rest having been mutilated beyond all recognition. According to The New York Times, which interviewed eyewitnesses and survivors of the massacre, pro-regime forces clad or semi-clad in military fatigues went house to house, separating men and boys above the age of 10 from women and younger children. Whole families were executed and images have since emerged showing children piled atop each other, some with half their faces blown off. Corpses later recovered in al-Bayda were said to include “the burned body of a baby just a few months old” and “a fetus ripped from a woman’s belly.” Two days later, on May 4, a similar massacre was repeated in Ras al-Nabeh, a district near the city of Baniyas.

In contrast to previous atrocities, the regime neither denied that these massacres had taken place nor tried to blame it on the opposition. Rather, it boasted of its success. State television claimed that the army had “crushed a number of terrorists,” while pro-regime Facebook pages displayed those grisly photographs of butchered children, categorizing them as militants.

Meanwhile in TX, a doctor pulls babies out of the mother piecemeal and twists babies’ heads off with his hands: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2325786/Douglas-Karpen-Second-house-horrors-abortion-clinic-investigated-Texas.html

No wonder BHO and HRC, being the King and Queen of Planned Parenthood, thought an attack on an American diplomatic station was no big deal, and could let it go on without intervention or any further concern.

Genocide is a favorite tool of leftist totalitarians from Communists to Islamists.

With Obamacare being run by an IRS that has already proved to be ruthlessly partisan, the denial of health care to Jews, Christians, conservatives and dissenters isn’t beyond the realm of possibility – and it would be a hidden means of genocide.

With the normalization of abortion, genocide has become an elective procedure, and even classified as a “right.” But, yeah, left-wing regimes, especially in the 20th century, have been responsible for more murder, rape, and enslavement events, than in any period of similar duration throughout history. They are brutally efficient in marginalizing and eviscerating their competing interests.

That said, we cannot permit fundamental corruption to obfuscate exceptional corruption. Both can cause a dysfunctional convergence with equal consequences, albeit over different durations.

If we are ever disposable, then a human life has no intrinsic value. From conception to grave, we are never more than a coherent cluster of cells, in the womb, on the table, in the toilet.

As for what’s happening in Syria… Well, it’s a retributive change cycle a la Tutsi slaughter Hutu slaughter Tutsi. It’s progress (i.e. monotonic change), and over a longer period it’s evolution (i.e. chaos).

I suppose that ethnic-cleansing is really what “Heart of Darkness” is all about – the various groups in Syria are making sure that there’ll never, ever be children who grow to take revenge for what was done to their parents.

The way 30+ villages in Germany simply disappeared from the map, after the Red Army entered Germany in 1945.

heathen savages vs. heathen savages — the more they kill each other the fewer they have to come after us

When muslims kill muslims, it’s a non-news story.

When Israel puts up a road block to stop homicide bombers from blowing up day-care centers, it’s Israeli apartheid, it gets front page NYTimes coverage, and Israel gets to be condemned by dementia-suffering Stephen Hawking.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

…..a schismatic Syrian rebel commander biting into the lung of a slain Hezbollah fighter and vowing revenge….. Such is the international press’ attention span that the far more significant development in Syria has gone almost entirely unnoticed.

To be fair, if they wanted more attention to be paid by the international press, the “Syrian rebel commander” would have to have been an “Israeli soldier”…..

Duh.

It’s not news when barbarians act like barbarians. We’re the US military or the IDF to act like this … well, they have codes of conduct and are subject to court martial for barbarity, that would be news!

When you think of all the crap people in the US military have been jailed for: making terrorists wear panties on their heads, that brings things into perspective.
