White liberals don’t like being called racist

Dr. Benjamin Carson is responding to the demonization of him by the liberal media by pointing out the obvious, that liberal media types, many if not most of whom are white, hold a special hatred for black conservatives.

Nice Deb has links and the video:

White liberals are not happy, via Twitchy:

At Daily Kos, Dr.Carson has gone from hero to a “Political Mandingo” and Uncle Tom.

That sounds pretty racist to me.

What is the ideology that favors legal discrimination? Which one looks FIRST at the color of people? Which one’s ONLY capability with math lies in bean-counting by race?

We all know. Collectivists ARE racists.

Dr. Carson spoke the truth, and the truth hurts. It’s hard to believe that they’re going to get even nastier, but they will. I think he can take it though. I hope.

Also, Beckel does not get that “liberals” today are not the same as his father.

That was exactly the same take I had. Liberals of the 60’s did not have the same thinking as the liberals of today. In fact, the liberals of today take every opportunity to call anyone who does not agree with them “racist”. They hate it that Carson is turning that back at them.

If I am not mistaken, Roland Martin of CNN called his old bosses white racists when they didn’t renew his contract. Wonder if Roland Martin would change his mind if CNN gave Dr. Carson his own program??? Let’s see CNN is still racist because they hired an Uncle Tom instead of a race baiter, like me. That about sums up Roland’s thinking.

It makes me wonder if anyone on the left has ever read Uncle Toms Cabin.

Uncle Tom always struck me as a heroic figure. He accepted his immoral condition in life but he would not accept being forced to go against his own conscience. His soul was his own even until death.

Slavery has widely existed throughout history and I am aware of only one successful slave revolt, that in Haiti. The majority of revolts resulted in death tolls in the hundreds of thousands.

      Indeed, Freddie.

Uncle Tom was never a hater. Some people see him as servile, but I never got that.

I agree completely. A little snip from the post I put up today:

Although the use of “Uncle Tom” is now a pejorative,(and being used as such, is directed at the good Dr. Ben Carson by those on the left) the character in the book was in fact a man of deep faith, honesty, intelligence, and integrity. And those certainly are qualities possessed in abundance by Dr. Carson.

The First Amendment ONLY applies to them, (liberals/progressives), not to the rest of us.

No surprise here folks… Just move along now!

But it is okay for them to call anybody that disagrees with this administration, racists….re:The Tea Party. Bob Beckel doesn’t like it when liberals are painted with 1 label, yet he and other liberals painted all Tea Partiers as fat, old, white racists. Hypocrites….

Both white and black Demcrats expected Dr.Carson to be Al Sharpton … but with brains.

Henry Hawkins | April 3, 2013 at 11:03 am

Their fear is that those blacks who are not lockstep liberals will finally find true leadership – and positive results – in people like Dr. Ben Carson, as opposed to race-baiting shakedown artists like Sharpton, Jackson, et al.

As a “hispanic” (whatever that means) conservative, I have found white liberals to be some of the most racist people I have ever met. Of course they vehemently deny being racist.

It reminds me of the time my white liberal friend was utterly shocked to find out that I do not like jalepenos. What shocked her even more was when I suggested that she not be so racist. That was 25 years ago, and sadly, she hasn’t changed one bit.

Of course Beckel made Dr. Carson’s point for him by denigrating him twice. His opening comment that Dr. Carson is not that important serves no purpose other than to marginalize the good doctor. Any child could say the same after Beckel speaks, he is not that important. And he repeats it in the body of his comments. Also, Beckel doesn’t speak to the topic and instead runs up his liberal bona fides. Does he realize that when his father went south 62+ times that every politician opposing his father was a democrat. And since the other 4 on the 5 are getting use to him and starting to like him, they can “somewhat see his point” And his points were; Dr. Carson is not important to him and his friends so let’s ignore him while we talk about him as we get paid to talk about him.

I think mikulin’s comment at 12:52pm is spot on.

Freddie Sykes | April 3, 2013 at 2:17 pm

Why does everyone question the amount of his exposure on media given that Dr Carson is on tour promoting his book?

Yes, Liberals were active in civil rights but progressives were racist since before Woodrow Wilson and Margaret Sanger. I left the modern Democratic Party because it has become more progressive than Liberal.
