Latest update on Allen West recount fight

Latest update on Allen West recount fight

There have been lots of rumors swirling that Allen West was ahead by a couple hundred votes, or that there was substantial “overvoting” which affected the race. None of those rumors appear to be correct.

The Shark Tank blog in Florida has the latest information:

There’s a lot of misinformation circulating out there about the effort to tally up the votes in Congressman Allen West’s race, but here’s the bottom line- the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections has finished its canvassing, having counted all of the absentee and provisional ballots this past Friday. The conclusion- West is down by about 2400 votes cumulatively across the congressional district. The Martin County Supervisor of Elections has also accounted for all of their ballots, and there appears that there is no issue there.

The last possibility for West’s chances lies with the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, who is dragging their feet in releasing the Voter sign-in rolls. West’s campaign is requesting these rolls in order to compare them with the actual votes cast. So far, the SOE is saying that they are not all tallied and is currently working on accounting for all of the sign-in rolls…..

That’s it. Anything else you hear out there about this race is bogus or simply speculation. Reports that there is over-voting in St. Lucie county is speculative. The candidates and amendments took up two voter cards, so some voters just voted on one card and not the other, some voted on both and turned them in, which accounts for the fact that there were more voter cards turned in than actual registered voters. West’s campaign does believe that there could be at least 700 extra cards submitted, that could translate into 350 extra votes.

Update:  The West campaign has released a statement:

“With all provisional and absentee votes counted in the 18th District, Congressman West currently trails by roughly 2,400 votes, a margin outside of the threshold for an automatic recount. The race remains undecided because there are issues that still need to be resolved in St. Lucie County. Late on Election Night, Congressman West led by 1,700 votes. Following the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections’ decision to recount thousands of early ballots after a technical glitch, the margin shifted by 4,000. In order to ensure that votes were not doubled counted, we have requested that the St. Lucie Supervisor of Elections make public the poll check-in books to ensure the numbers of ballots cast matches the numbers of voters checked-in at the polls. Once that information is provided we believe the outcome of the election will be clear. It is troubling that days later that information is still not available. Our sole focus is ensuring all ballots were counted fairly and accurately.”

ALLEN WEST RECOUNT UPDATE – WE NEED HELP ONLY 8 PEOPLE LEFT WATCHING ALL THESE MILITARY VOTES GET PROCESSED. SOUTH FLORIDA FRIENDS PLEASE PLEASE COME HELP OBSERVE THIS IS CRITICAL

7865 Central Industrial Dr. Riviera Beach

Seems the (bad) info was taken down from West’s Facebook page. But there are 100’s of vile comments from the left there. We need biometrics at polling places, even photo ID would not suffice.

He (or whoever runs that page) links to this article about the environment at the polls.

A physical barrier had been erected making it impossible for the observers to see what was going on. After repeated objections, the observers were allowed to stand behind the people reproducing the ballots. But then the ballot workers blocked their view

West still has not conceeded. He is down only in St Lucie county and still has issues with ballots being retabulated multiple times which caused him to move from aproximately 2000 votes up to 2000 votes down. His campaign is still concerned that voter sign in sheets do not match the amount of votes cast in St. Lucie county. The liberal mainstream media is portraying him being “officially” and “decisively” beaten, yet the results will not be official untill November 20th. It still appears at this point that if the count is not within the margin for an automatic recount, this is heading to the courts to ask for a full recount.

Black-Warrior-PC Hating-Conservative: BAAAAAAAAAD Col. West.

West–about the only one to take a stand against obvious voter fraud.

The rest–can’t do it; the left will call us bad names.

Conspiracy theory?

Tell me again what is theoretical about facts.

Here is the current count from the Palm Beach County website, which shows West up by 185. The
votes in St. lucie county have not yet been finished and will resume next Wednesday.

According to the Shark Tank…

“There’s a lot of misinformation circulating out there about the effort to tally up the votes in Congressman Allen West’s race, but here’s the bottom line- the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections has finished its canvassing, having counted all of the absentee and provisional ballots this past Friday. But according to the official Palm Beach county website, West is actually up by 185 votes in their county.

Some points:
-Why would be believe these people?
-Even if we could, why would be believe the vote wasn’t corrupt on the ballot end?

I am not more convinced than ever that Goebbels Axelrod has photos of John Boehner dressed up in a bra and panties.

Welcome to the United States of Chicago

Somebody said the other morning to Google Bev Harris.

So I did.

Then, I read a lot of related material.

I went into it with the mind set of “this is conspiracy theory;nutjobs, nothing to see here”

Like I’ve said here before–I don’t see how we can ever win another election.

An Update to the above Washington Times piece..

UPDATE: An hour after this report was posted the St. Lucie County Canvassing Board agreed to an entire early-voting recount starting Sunday at 7 a.m. Most of the election-day problems with the vote count were among the early votes, including possible duplicate vote counts or over-counting. This recount will involve approximately 30,000 ballots.

I verifed this with some people on the ground who have been assisting in observing the count. There is some concern about getting enough observers there tommorrow at 7 AM..

Here is the official annoucement from the St Lucie County Supervisor of Elections

“PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING

AN EMERGENCY MEETING FOR THE CANVASSING BOARD HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY NOVEMBER 11, 2012 AT 7:00 AM AT THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OFFICE, 4132 OKEECHOBEE ROAD

THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING IS TO RECOUNT ALL BALLOTS CAST DURING EARLY VOTING”

This is what Townhall has on this topic (via RightScoop):

Massive Voter Fraud in St. Lucie County.

Why does anyone trust the vote counters? Who are they, anyway? Typically, Democrats are the ones who control the voting in most precincts, counties, and even in most states. Check it out. The party who counts the votes DOES matter, in this highly-partisan environment.

The Republicans never seem to come out ahead in close elections since Florida 2000. They are going to have to do a better job of policing the vote count which is where many of these elections are decided while no one is watching.
