That pretty much sums up the speech of Mahmoud Abbas, the king of nothing, at the U.N. today.
I didn’t listen to it, but here are some excerpts (emphasis mine):
We have not heard one word from any Israeli official expressing any sincere concern to save the peace process. On the contrary, our people have witnessed, and continue to witness, an unprecedented intensification of military assaults, the blockade, settlement activities and ethnic cleansing, particularly in Occupied East Jerusalem, and mass arrests, attacks by settlers and other practices by which this Israeli occupation is becoming synonymous with an apartheid system of colonial occupation, which institutionalizes the plague of racism and entrenches hatred and incitement….
What permits the Israeli Government to blatantly continue with its aggressive policies and the perpetration of war crimes stems from its conviction that it is above the law and that it has immunity from accountability and consequences. This belief is bolstered by the failure by some to condemn and demand the cessation of its violations and crimes and by position that equate the victim and the executioner….
The innocent lives that have been taken by Israeli bombs – more than 168 martyrs, mostly children and women, including 12 members of one family, the Dalou family, in Gaza – are a painful reminder to the world that this racist, colonial occupation is making the two-State solution and the prospect for realizing peace a very difficult choice, if not impossible.
There was more in there, typifying the Palestinian refusal to acknowledge their own rejectionism and decades of deliberately killing innocents to much celebration, and a culture of blood libel against Jews which extends to this day.
The Israeli Prime Minister reacted appropriately:
The world watched a defamatory and venomous speech that was full of mendacious propaganda against the IDF and the citizens of Israel.
— PM of Israel (@IsraeliPM) November 29, 2012
In response to Abu Mazen’s speech, PM’s Office issues following statement: ‘Someone who wants peace does not talk in such a manner.’
— PM of Israel (@IsraeliPM) November 29, 2012
Susan Rice gave a good speech:
Amb Rice: The Palestinian people will wake up tomorrow and find little has changed except the chance for a durable peace has receded.
— Andy Carvin (@acarvin) November 29, 2012
“This resolution does not establish that Palestine is a state.” – Rice #UNGA

The Israeli Ambassador summed up the history of Mahmoud Abbas and his predecessors:
The People of Israel wait for a Palestinian leader that is willing to follow in the path of President Sadat. The world waits for President Abbas to speak the truth that peace can only be achieved through negotiations by recognizing Israel as a Jewish State. It waits for him to tell them that peace must also address Israel’s security needs and end the conflict once and for all.
For as long as President Abbas prefers symbolism over reality, as long as he prefers to travel to New York for UN resolutions, rather than travel to Jerusalem for genuine dialogue, any hope of peace will be out of reach.

I have a great idea. Tell Hamas that they can have peace. All they have to do is stop killing their neighbors.
I think you’re being totally unreasonable, Valerie. You’re asking too much. You’re demands are way over the top.

The world is a dog. Palestinians are the fleas….
If I were to say the same thing about Jews or Israelis I’d be accused of anti-Semitism. But because the targets of your genocidal hatred are Palestinians it’s perfectly acceptable apparently.
How do you get genocidal hatred from that comment, Andrew. Paddy merely used an analogy. Here’s an example of genocidal hatred: the day will come when there will be a Jew hiding behind a tree, and the tree will cry out there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.
The world is a dog and “Palestinians” are the fleas? Meh!
Yeah, besides it’s unfair to fleas. I prefer to assert that Islam and its votaries (using the Churchill descriptor of Muslims) are cancer to humanity.
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”
from The River Wars (1899).
Abbas’s speech, juxtaposed against Prosor’s, was stark in its hostility and negativity, especially to commemorate the event.
There will never be peace there. It’s just not in the cards. I like the words Bibi used, and really, at this point, he’s gotta call it like he sees it.
You expected a Muslim to use language respectful of the kuffar? Respectful of Israel, of Jews?
The issue underlying all of this is Islam, Islam, Islam.
The underlying issue is the koran and hadiths. They are the toxins which comprise Islam. Destroy them in order to destroy Islam.
What is the legal and moral principle which describes a legitimate transfer of property? Is there a statute of limitations which constrains either?
End the Muslim occupation of Persia!
Sorry, wrong Muslim. End the occupation of Israel!
“…Ambassador Rice further stated that it was cool and shady in her new position under Obama’s very crowded bus..”
Abbas: Please dial, 1-800-Bite-Juden Putzim
I am sick and sickened. Truly sickened. Obama has enabled this sort of thing, and frankly, I don’t think he’s either stupid or incompetent (okay, I admit, I do think him stupid). That my fellow Americans think he’s one or the other, even both, is far more worrying than what Abbas says. They will wipe out Israel . . . if they can.
They cannot. We know this. But that this . . . president (arg, it pains me to call him that) is swimming headlong into the sea of antiSemitism is and has been evident since 2009. What can we do? I won’t applaud the Caliphate, I won’t dhimmi myself, I won’t deny Jesus Christ . . . and so, according to Abbas, I’m just as much an enemy as Israel. I’m just next or third or whatever on the list. Me? I’ll be there for Israel and not wait until they come for me and there’s no one left to help.
Why doesn’t Iran give Abbas a throne, one with a crescent moon cut-out in the door and plenty of toilet paper?
Cuz the hidden imam is downstairs of the throne room. Piss be on him.
Listen closely to this Proposition, Palistinian Homies:
PUT DOWN your arms. What will happen? Peace will abide in the land.
NOPE, those Pesky Juden cannot put down their arms first. Why? Because you and yours would BUTCHER them.
So, we’re agreed..Right? PUT those ARMS DOWN,’Yo.
That’s ALL. There IS a Solution.
