Didn’t Obama take an oath to “uphold and defend” the Constitution?

“Didn’t Obama take an oath to “uphold and defend” the Constitution?”

Best way to answer that question:

“You swore! You swore on the Precious! Smeagol promised!”

    “Smeagol lied.”

    You get the idea.

    Sanddog in reply to myiq2xu. | September 16, 2012 at 2:16 am

For most politicians, the constitution is nothing more than a nuisance.

Browndog in reply to Sanddog. | September 16, 2012 at 8:25 am

Only because, every once in a while, some uppity constituent will ask them on camera to cite it as their authority to do whatever boneheaded idea they have at the time.

Most times the answer is along the lines of “The Good & Plenty Clause!” or, “The Welfare and Proper Clause!”….”Interstate Commerce Clause”.

Luckily Chief Justice Roberts simplified it for everyone:

“It’s not an attack on Free Speech….IT’S A TAX!”

http://evilbloggerlady.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-first-amendment-is-about-freedom-to.html These Iowahawk tweets, if paintings, would be Norman Rockwells. BTW Monday is Constitution Day

Yeah, but it didn’t count because he had his fingers crossed.

You do not understand. This “arrest” was designed to be nothing but a photo-op to be sent around the world. It states American foreign policy quite well: insult Islam and under the Obama administration you will be punished.

Somewhere Al Zawahiri is sitting with a copy of the Bill of Rights, checking them off one by one.

    Fourth Amendment – check
    First Amendment – check
Second Amendment – to be checked later

The “detention” of this man, accomplished by at least five Los Angeles County Sheriff Department deputies who obviously have never read the Constitution, was designed as another tactic on the part of the Obama administration to appease the Muslim “street.” Notice, there are no photos of this man being released early this morning, which he was.

No, no, no; it was all for the photo-op and a way for Obama to let the Islamists know that although the U.S. doesn’t recognize Shari’a law, HE will.

Let’s look at what has happened in the last 48 hours: Jay Carney states quite clearly that the violence all across the Middle East has nothing to do with U.S. ME policy OR this administration. The State Department wipes clean a travel advisory from days before the 9-11 murder of four Americans. Hillary, on 9-13-2012, even before Ambassador Stevens body, along with three others, are on their way back to the United States, attends a Ramadan celebration saying that celebrating Ramadan (Eid Mubarak) is a State Department “tradition” and thanks the Libyan government, and its people, for their sharing in our grief and loss.

Obama was busy as well. He traveled to Las Vegas for a campaign stop and gave an interview to a radio talk show host, the Pimp with a Limp. He hosted an Olympic team luncheon and photo-op, another campaign fund raiser, and dinner at a private house for the purpose of passing out the collection plate. Meanwhile, as the bodies of the dead Americans are being received at a hanger, his campaign is tweeting out we should all buy Obama sweatshirts.

“Didn’t Obama take an oath to “uphold and defend” the Constitution?”

Obama thought it was “upend and withold” the Constitution.

He’s kind of a Constitutional scholar and not known to make mistakes. Double check your notes.

Tonight, I finally said it at home. “That’s it. Three words: “Articles of Impeachment”. Impeach the bastard!”

My husband said, “No way! It will NEVER be done?”

“And why so? He violated the very Constitution he swore to uphold! The charge should be Treason. He gave the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda aid and comfort by going after that idiot “filmmaker” and groveling down to them, apologizing…”

“Do you honestly think anyone wants to impeach “The First Black President”?

“Nope, but standing on principle should count for something. This is not a dictatorship. At least, not yet.”

“You haven’t drunk the Kool-Aid yet, sweetheart…”

When Clinton clearly needed impeaching, and the Democrats refused, they signaled that wasn’t an option for removing a sitting President. The alternatives aren’t pleasant.

Mine was “When Free Speech is outlawed”
“Only outlaws will speak.”

Midwest Rhino in reply to Milwaukee. | September 16, 2012 at 10:45 am

I like that, but add “freely” to the end of the second line.

Or .. “When free speech exposing Obama’s tyranny is outlawed
……….. Only Obama’s outlaws will speak freely”

If this guy just changed the main character’s name to Jesus, all would be fine, awards would be given.

theduchessofkitty | September 16, 2012 at 1:14 am

When I took PoliSci courses at college (for an International Relations degree), there was one thing that was drilled into me that every American citizen should take note of: “The Constitution is the supreme law of the land”, according to Article VI.

Again, “The Constitution is the supreme law of the land.” Not Shariah law.

There is a Hasidic Proverb that states “Fear only two: God, and the man who has no fear of God.”

To me we are dealing with a person, Obama, others like him, and those who follow them who have “no fear of God.” So, if this be the case, why would they have but little concern about the U.S. Constitution? And, this is why I have such concern about Nov 6 and the future of our country.

Very good, prof! I also liked the one that said “This is why we have a Second Amendment”.

Anyone cares for Dane-Geld?

Money quote:

“It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,
To puff and look important and to say: —
“Though we know we should defeat you, we have not the time to meet you.
We will therefore pay you cash to go away.”

And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we’ve proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.”

Why is Bill Maher being arrested for his film “Religulous”?

BannedbytheGuardian | September 16, 2012 at 3:58 am

I am thinking of converting to Islam because then I shall be able to kill off every director screenwriter actor & down to best boy & even the caterer of every movie that has annoyed me.

Woody Allen is top of my list for Interiors.

I did not see Sex & The City 2 but I heard it was dreadful . That is next. Bye Bye the horse faced thing in sandals.

I am working on a list.

They said if I voted McAnus, brown-shirted men would come in the dead of night an drag movie producers out of their beds…

They said if I voted McAnus, the DOJ would be used as a tool for religious extremists, and people would be targeted for their religious views…

jimzinsocal in reply to Ragspierre. | September 16, 2012 at 10:07 am

I believe all this will be as powerful politically as the “we built this” answer.
Why? because liberals have no good response really..around how and why this guy was suddenly (cough) “interviewed” in the middle of ther night. Sure…they claim it was follow up to probation etc but come on. To buy into that fantasy you have to ignore the DOJ painting a target on the guy’s back tied directly to the film.
We used to live in the US with a simple unwavering understanding: I may not agree or like what you say but I will defend at all costs your right to speak.
The photo of the guy certainly doesnt strike me as a strong defense of speech rights.
Were the first words out of Clinton and Obama centered on the defense of free speech? Of course not. They had to inject their opinion on the film. The film is irrelevant.
Do we comment and attack the makers of BIC lighters after an arsonist has burned down a house?
Following Clinton and Obama’s illogic? Yes we do….rather than discuss the sick misuse of a tool.
The current Administration deserves this flak for their self serving positions.

Ragspierre in reply to jimzinsocal. | September 16, 2012 at 10:16 am

This isn’t some subtle “chilling of free speech”. This is outright manipulation to expose this guy…and everyone who’s worked with him…to death and deprivation. They are literally driven out of their old lives, and marked for death by the government that SHOULD protect them in the exercise of their rights.

Why? What did he do or say that hasn’t been done or said by others?

Answer: Obama LIVES by government of the scapegoat, and he BADLY needed one in this instance.

His NEED drove him to excesses that will now overtake him, if there is an once of discernment left in the American people.

NeoConScum in reply to Ragspierre. | September 16, 2012 at 10:46 am

Rags..AMEN!! “..IF there is an ounce of discernment left in the American people.” Your(and nearly ALL at Dr.J’s blog)Lips to God’s Ears.

^^Agree. As the Press Secretary mentioned the other day in response to all this “we allow Free Speech”
Allow? Good grief. And it seems to be the Administration’s position. Free Speech is therfore something that can be revoked when the word “allow” is inserted.

Add this. To that media / government fairy tale thet we are doing a big deal investigation so dont talk to State Department. Evidently the FBI is so “cowed” by the terrorists much of the investigation will be put off. Let me guess until when.

Only CNN is reporting this

Jim Bennett compares Mrs Thatcher’s response to the Ayatollah Khomeini’s Rushdie fatwa with Obama’s to the Muslim Brotherhood’s demands. Salman Rushdie had been a vicious critic of the Conservative Party and the Prime Minister – he called her “Mrs Torture” – but Her Majesty’s Government has provided him with safe houses and Special Branch protection for almost a quarter-century.
    —Mark Steyn at TheCorner

Because Lady Thatcher was not protecting ONLY Rushdie, but her own sacred duty to her ideals, and the right of every British subject to say even wrong things.

    Compare and contrast.

Hear! Hear! Oh, for an “Iron Lady” – American style. And, for an “Iron Man” for our country.

I came across this one from LI’s sidebar. It’s from “Sister Toldjah” and is entitled “Churchill on Islam”:

The River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan is an 1899 book by Winston Churchill:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries!  Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.  The effects are apparent in many countries.  Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.  A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.  The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property—either as a child, a wife, or a concubine—must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.  Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities.  Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die.  But the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it.  No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.  Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proseltyzing faith.  It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science—the science against which it had vainly struggled—the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

      http://sistertoldjah.com/archives/2012/09/15/churchill-on-islam/

IF the ‘buzz is confirmed as fact that the State Dept. and, therefore, the Obama Regime, was alerted days ahead of serious ***t coming on 9-11-2012, then–Duuhhh–the on-air smack back by Romney-Ryan needs to be relentless on the subject until November.

Any bets on when that paragon of edgy, challenge-your-moral-standards defense of the 1st Amendment…Larry Flint…will begin a series of videos depicting the sexual escapades of Mohammed?

Com’on…I’ll give you good odds…

NeoConScum in reply to Ragspierre. | September 16, 2012 at 6:50 pm

Might I suggest some “Lean Forward” to the Prophet Mohammed…Maybe from an rageful-crazed-hyper manly Uncle Sam…?
    Hey, just suggesting..(-:

…maybe with Arafat, Gaddafi, Ayatollah Khomeini, Osama and King Ibn Saud chorusing laughter in the background..?

This police action is our president bowing to al-Qaeda.

Radical Islam was listening when Obama told his people the way to get people to change is to “get in their faces”. Now radical Islam is in Obama’s face, and he (as leader of the free world) is bowing.

Of course when Jon Corzine took a billion from investors and told Congress he didn’t know where the money went, Obama bowed to the big money mob. No prosecutions in any of the banking fiasco.

When Boeing went to a right to work state, Obama bowed to the unions and prosecuted Boeing. (not to mention GM, government unions bankrupting states, or all the government contracts limited to union shops)

The domestic list is endless. But Obama bowed in Cairo, and on behalf of America, confessed to US torture (waterboarding is not torture, and was done on only four terrorists), and confessed to American anti-Islamic activities (despite America fighting on BEHALF of Muslims frequently).

In Obama’s flexibility after the election statement to Russia, he leaned over, putting himself in the bowing, subordinate position. He bows to China and Mexican drug runners, but he insults Great Britain and Israel.

Obama bows as a submissive to anyone that will make America weaker. His frequent visitors run him … Jarret, Stern, Soros, Media Matters … all the far left radicals. The media protects him and keeps his ego inflated.

Ragspierre in reply to Midwest Rhino. | September 16, 2012 at 11:59 am

It is just a historical FACT that no single person in all of history has done more to liberate and extend the lives of Muslims than GW Bush, along with our military.

    Like it or not.

NeoConScum in reply to Ragspierre. | September 16, 2012 at 6:59 pm

Yep, Rags…And, having inherited the massive victory and establishment of a blossoming democracy in Iraq by President Bush, Mr.Messiah the Anointed One ABANDONED the victory and our Arab ally and removed our steadying troop presence. There were FAR, FAAARRRR fewer Americans dying there violently when Mr.Bush handed The Boy King the reins than die violently any-old-year in Chicago.

Obam-Bam’s ‘revisionist version’ of that loathsome retreat..? “I ended the War in Iraq.” It leaves me breathless that this punk isn’t 20%-points behind Mitt.

Good points there with the Boeing example. It illustrates a pattern of legal intimidation…with what until now has had convenient cover of “reasonable legal action” for an amazingly uncurious media.
Boeing. Gibson Guitar. More recently Gallup. States that attempt any sort of voter ID legislation. Arizona and its immigration efforts.
And now this schlep and his video. And were supposed to believe the Administration had nothing to do with the midnight visit.
An organized crime boss would be behind bars by now.
For the Administration its simply business as usual.

Midwest Rhino in reply to jimzinsocal. | September 16, 2012 at 3:36 pm

Yeah … he acts as the bully, but he seems to have been bullied himself. Would a psychoanalysis find that he is just acting as a puppet to the “mobs” that have projected him as their tool, or their weapon?

He lets destruction proceed as he sits back and watches, in this case not acting till Romney weighed in. He let Pelosi take over his health care deal. He defended his friend first, when “the police acted stupidly”. He defended his Solyndra bundler. He seems part of the far left gang, but he is not really their gang leader. Maybe it’s Jarret.

Valerie Jarrett currently works as a senior advisor to U.S. president, Barack Obama, and has been referred to as “the other side of Obama’s brain.”
    http://www.trevorloudon.com/2012/08/weekly-featured-profile-valerie-jarrett/

Obama seems completely incapable of being out in front … he only uses his rabble rousing skills to defend his friends, who I think he recognizes as his betters. Is he just the “inside man” that does nothing as Holder, Stern, Corzine, big banks, even the Muslim Brotherhood carry out their villainy, knowing President Empty Chair will only attack those that attack them.
