‘His Age is Going to be a Factor’: Mika Brzezinski Criticizes WH for Videos of Biden Falling

“Yeah, I think his staff needs to own his age. I’m just gonna be honest, I don’t think they do a good job helping out the president…”

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski knows the truth: President Joe Biden is too old.

Brzezinski also knows all about optics. The videos of Biden falling will harm him. You know, that is if the election is free and fair.

Brzezinski went off on the White House staff for not taking proper steps to make sure Biden isn’t tripping and falling all over the place:

Yeah, I think his staff needs to own his age. I’m just gonna be honest, I don’t think they do a good job helping out the president and I’m not talking about it like, I’m just saying if you are managing a president’s schedule, and you are managing a president getting on stage and getting off stage and getting on planes and getting off planes, and yes, he’s 80! You need to be there for him! And you need to make a pathway and you sure as hell better make sure he doesn’t fall on a sandbag! And I blame the staff for that. I mean these are the things that are gonna hurt him, these are things that are gonna be played on a loop, ok? Let him do his job, let him do his speeches, let him work on policy, let him do his connections in Congress unlike any president that we’ve seen I don’t know, since Clinton.

But my God, make sure, you know, you’re Secret Service, you’re his staff, that you’re there and you’re telling him what’s next and it’s not becau-, don’t take this as ‘oh, he can’t even get from one place to another.’ When you’re busy and you’re on stage, and we’ve been on stage, I’ve done speeches and I’m so nervous, I’m doing the speech, I’m trying to get it right, and when it’s done, I don’t know which way to go and I’m looking for direction. So do a better job, because you can’t have these video images of the president tripping, or the president like going the wrong way. It’s not going to work in this presidency because his age is going to be a factor. His age is going to be a factor and it’s your job to ensure he gets from one place to another. He can handle the presidency, you have to handle his schedule and where he goes.

These are the main three trips and falls:

Brzezinski did not mention Biden’s cognitive issues we’ve seen in videos. Honestly, I’m more worried about that than Biden falling.

The morning host thinks Biden “can handle the presidency.” I guess she also thinks he delivers his speeches well along with working on policy.

If you want the staff to truly own Biden’s age then you have to mention the mental decline that happens in many elderly people.

But that topic is off limits because that alone could cost him the presidency.

There are many people older than Biden who are in better condition both mentally and physically. It is not his age per se that is the problem, it is his mental capacity and his physical health and those have been degraded for quite some time—even before he was sworn in as POTUS. So it is not just that he is not fit to run again, HE IS NOT FIT RIGHT NOW!

ChrisPeters in reply to Peabody. | July 13, 2023 at 10:55 am

He was never all that bright to begin with. The decline in his mental health has simply made things worse.

      But, hey; He ain’t Trump.
So Mika and Joe and everyone in the DNC and the DemocRat party and the Ministry of Truth all love him.
And, like Mika, they will all spin any of his sins and failures and weaknesses in an attempt to paint the old SOB as the Triune God.

2smartforlibs | July 12, 2023 at 11:23 am

I know people much older, that are much more capable. He wasn’t fit for office when he was in the Senate.

    inspectorudy in reply to 2smartforlibs. | July 12, 2023 at 2:49 pm

Hell, I’m 81 and can speak coherently with no note cards! Age does take a toll both mentally and physically but that does not mean that older people cannot function on a cerebral level. I cannot do the things I did as a younger person but the one thing that age does bring is patience and circumspection neither of which I had when younger. One of the things that is critical for a leader is the ability to communicate. Biden has lost that and the scary part is, is it because of a physical problem or a mental one? If physical like Fetterman then that is a problem but not a dangerous one. But if it is mental then we are in danger on a worldwide scale. The most sickening aspect of this whole mess is Biden’s wife and the DNC still pushing him to run and endangering the country as well as the free world.

The current life expectancy in the US is 79.11 years.
The average US person hasn’t spent 4 extraordinarily stressful years as president at the far end of that range when he is already on the downside of the curve.
It would seem more likely than not that he won’t survive to be elected again before Gaia harvests him.

(inspectorudy, I’m reliably informed that Marines being extraordinary, such expectations don’t apply to them, so carry on). 😉

He was a lying moron at his peak. He hasn’t been at his peak in 30-40 years.
Now he is a lying imbecile.

JohnSmith100 | July 12, 2023 at 11:37 am

How about failing instead of falling in the title?

    ChrisPeters in reply to JohnSmith100. | July 13, 2023 at 10:58 am

For the Democrat/Marxist Party, he has not been “failing” at all. He has had the destructive term of their dreams.

But we are told that age is just a number! /s

Which is BS. As we age we also experience the hard knocks of life and rack up wear and tear physically. We don’t recover from injury at 50 the same we did at 20. Some people also develop cognitive problems as they age, particularly so for those over 75. Pretending that isn’t true doesn’t help anyone.

Are there some folks who are still active physically and mentally at 80? Sure but they ain’t nearly so active as they were at 20. These folks are very impressive…. for their age and that’s the key comparison b/c no 80 year old is physically impressive v a 20 year year old with same comparative level of fitness within their age cohort. Finding some tennis playing granny that runs a marathon at 80 is inspirational but not dispositive of the basic facts that we decline with age.

“But we are told that age is just a number! /s”
    Yes, but mainly by pedophiles.
Hm, that may actually be a connection.

inspectorudy in reply to CommoChief. | July 12, 2023 at 8:56 pm

I don’t make any sense of your argument. What has a twenty-year-old playing tennis have to do with leading a country? We’ve had very few physically active POTUS and that has not been a handicap. I think the qualities we need in a POTUS are intelligence, stamina, and experience to say nothing of the qualities like honesty and integrity. Having him/her play sports is of no value for the job but can be a relaxation for the person. If I had to be led into war I would prefer the 80-year-old any day of the week.

CommoChief in reply to inspectorudy. | July 12, 2023 at 11:22 pm

We’ve never had an 80 year old Commander in Chief to ‘lead us into war’. Now we have one. His name is Joe Biden. IMO, the experiment of an octogenarian as POTUS doesn’t seem to be going so well.

Based on the very clear cognitive and motor skill deficits displayed by Biden it seems to be a failed experiment. You conceded that stamina is an important attribute but seem to shrug off the ability to exercise to achieve and maintain a minimally acceptable level of fitness. The 80 year old Biden has a documented lack of ability to work full time as POTUS; he has take the most vaction days away from the WH of any prior POTUS. I would think the experiment of an 80 year old as POTUS would by now be universally recognized as a failure from any objective person.

Anecdotally I have found that many people don’t accumulate different experiences in their lives. Instead they accumulate the same experience each year. They don’t have 40 years of experience, they have one year of experience 40 times. That usually serves to make them highly competent at those specific tasks within their experience but also builds inflexibility into their thinking and narrows their willingness, if not ability, to learn new skills or adapt to changes. Those seem like poor traits in a POTUS.

Finally I would point out that serving as POTUS seems, from the outside, to accelerate the aging process while in office. Those who serve seem by the end of their term(s) to be a bit worn down by the physical, mental and emotional demands of the office. Perhaps the starting point should be from a minimum threshold of physical/mental agility, strength, stamina and flexibility in order to better withstand the stresses required by the office v those of an octogenarian.

“It’s not the age, it’s the mileage.” 😁

Peabody in reply to nordic prince. | July 13, 2023 at 9:25 am

If you steal the election, age is not an issue.

CommoChief in reply to Peabody. | July 13, 2023 at 2:31 pm

Fortunately you still have time to work in your County to clean up the voter registration rolls before the elections next year! Doing so by working to force the removal of the ineligible, the deceased, those who moved and the non verifiable significantly eliminates the potential ballots available for shenanigans!

There’s your silver lining. Sometimes you gotta policy your silver in order to see it shine.

Biden was operated on for two brain aneurysms when he was younger. Is his current rapid decline a consequence of those insults to his brain? Just wondering.

Retired physician. Worked in nursing and rehab centers for years. I would think that if there was sufficient brain injury at the time of the aneurysm surgery it would likely have shown up sooner.

Regardless of the cause, he is definitely a fall risk. Falls can be deadly to the elderly. Frankly he really ought to be using some sort of assistive device. Ideally a walker, but at least a cane.

They probably should have a physical therapist assess the White House and his private residences for loose rugs and other impediments to safe ambulation.

markm in reply to bev. | July 13, 2023 at 10:17 pm

Perhaps it did show up sooner. How long have Biden’s people been covering for his mental deficiencies?

Not only two surgeries but the initial forme fruste was that one blew. Yes, the initial bleed and surgeries reduced brain reserve such that with age an earlier noticeable decline would occur. “Bev” you are missing the obvious…. he has significant cognitive issues that adjusting carpets just won’t cut it. His gait and “rigidity” iare Parkinsonian. His ups and downs speak more of medication waxing and waning than a hard two hours at the job per day. Physical therapy can’t mend a broken brain.

Alaskabob and Bev: Thank you both for your thoughtful comments.

bev in reply to alaskabob. | July 12, 2023 at 6:12 pm

Well, the original article by Brzezinski spoke of Biden’s falling, so that’s what I was specifically addressing. Of course, Brzezinski was more concerned about “optics” than seeming to have any concern about the very real risk of serious injury from a fall. Nor do Joe’s handlers or “loving wife” seem to be concerned. As many have pointed out, Joe is an “old” 80, not a “young” 80. As with the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan when Joe and the dems shifted the conversation from the horrible mess that Biden orchestrated, to the undeniable importance of getting out, the Democrats continue to shift the focus to “his age”, and away from his cognitive decline and overall feebleness. A sleight of hand, but they and the media control the narrative. If that was my dad, I wouldn’t want him near any bike other than a stationary one —- and I would pad the floors around it.

The absurdity of it all is that the Left believes that by controlling the narrative here in the US, they can suppress the truth. However, worldwide it is obvious that the leader of the Free World is severely cognitively and physically compromised.

BierceAmbrose in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | July 14, 2023 at 1:46 am

His situation is the last thing his brain is up to, post-TBI. I’ve never yet seen anyone become unmarked by it after brain trauma. You develop around it, and learn to live with the new you, including adapting your world, to what works for you.

    /Elaboration
I’m 9+ years from a stroke I don’t think they thought I was gonna live through, to currently independent, doing professional-quality work of several kinds, constrained by managing my mental function, not by the max it’ll do, when I’m on. Very much “this is the way it works, now.”

Net on Brandon, if it’s at all like myself and fellow travelers I compare notes with:

    — His capacities will be reduced, particularly flexibility and adaptability.

    — He’s more susceptible to disruption and erosion. Everything takes more “energy”, and more disrupted with fatigue. Rest and recovery matters — doing near anything is like a work out at the gym. President is always on, and nearly all exception handling. Not good.

    — There’s a notion that yr brain has some stock of “spares.” Use them to work around a TBI, and they’re not around for the smaller, steady insults of ageing and stress.

    — Any executive role is pretty perfectly opposite of what Brandon would need to function best, or maintain his function. Indeed, it would be pretty eroding.

Myself, I’ve maintained gain of capability, scope, and capacity continuing to date, well beyond the “3 years” they say is the end off what you’ll get “back.” (Some say 18 months.) I’m cheating, hard.

There are protocols both for neuroplasticity in general, and specific to rebuilding function after traumatic brain injury. This is new territory with directional research only, so far. So, I’m my own single-trial science project. I’ve made “recovery”, more like redevelopment, my job. There’s no room for that in the presidency.

What’s unequivocal is that post-TBI the presidency is a near perfect inverse of where you’ll function well, what you need to function or maintain capacity, let along build more. It’s the last thing Brandon can handle, post TBI. BUT, his job isn’t to do the job. His job is to stay in his basement, being the figurehead the apparatus — or cabal as they called themselves — has rallied around to install. He’s not up to that, either.

It’s not about his age; it’s about the condition he’s in for his age. The fact is, Biden has reached the point where he really cannot function, he cannot handle the job due to physical and mental deterioration—which his staff and the media have done a good job covering up.

Antifundamentalist | July 12, 2023 at 12:47 pm

His staff isn’t bothering to cover for him as much. That tells me that the “Biden is too old” is a narrative that they want out there. They are setting the stage to pull him from office – whether it is after they “secure” his re-election or because they intend to run a different candidate remains to be seen.

This segment of Morning Joe brought to you by Hospice Care of Delaware.

Fat_Freddys_Cat | July 12, 2023 at 2:07 pm

I still wonder if Kamala was the one who stuck the sandbag where Joe could trip on it. “Come on, you old bastard. One good fall and it’s mine! All mine! Bwuhahaha!”

nordic prince | July 12, 2023 at 2:14 pm

A lifetime of debauchery and perversion was bound to catch up with him sooner rather than later.

“Going to be”???

Hopefully the more “Democrats ” turn against him will get him gone.
Gruesome will be my bet in 2024

These two corrupt swine….

Maybe Mika would be happy if Biden’s staff kept him from being seen falling down by getting him a walker.

Having worked in a long term care facility, this looks more like frontotemperal dementia(FTD). His bizarre sniffing of women over the years preceding his worsening decline, along with his longstanding speech gaffes are symptoms. Though FTD does usually present earlier. Would love to see an MRI of his head. Probably more wasteland than Nevada

I met an 80 year old man, all tall Texas businessman in a 10 gallon hat, at the Dubai airport for a midnight flight. This guy was sharp as a tack, physically robust, and had all kinds of energy (I was exhausted). So stop sayiong age, start saying COGNITIVE & PHYSICAL ABILITY.

Mika it is clear you are in the tank for the DNC but you need to get your buddies in the White House to get Old Joe a Wheel Chair. Once he has a wheel chair and a staffer to push him around he will not fall, but Biden will still keep showing his brain is mush. Some old are fine in their 80s but others are not. Biden was picked by the DNC because he was not and could be controlled but we need him out so the country can be saved.
