How long before they go after Paul Ryan’s mom?

How long before they go after Paul Ryan’s mom?

You know it’s going to happen.

They’ll claim she’s being used as a prop. Then they’ll try to dig up whatever dirt they can — it won’t be anything of substance, but it will be spread quickly. Then they’ll hack her e-mail. A friendly government employee will take a peek at tax and other files.

It will happen. Maybe already has.

They’ll go after his mom, his dog, his wife, his children, and his neighbors.
Typical allinsky tactics that we saw against Palin.

But this time, more Americans are on to this bullsheet.

Exactly. I don’t know why these supposed experienced politicans allow themselves to get drawn into this BS. For example,

The moment something is said about Ryan’s mother, respond with “Why are you so interested in a character assassination of her when you ought to talk about Obama’s ineptness with the slaugther of innocents in Syria?”

Or, another example: “Why is there so much concern with my taxes (Romney) when we ought to talk about the tax crush coming because of Obama’s policies?”

Why? Why do they seem so ineffective in turning the disucssion onto that which is facing this country? Hopefully, your observation is an accurate one and sufficient numbers of the American public will see through the “smoke screen”.

    Every day, the gap grows:

    Our enthusiasm
    R & R contributions
    Our crowds
    Our comments
Rejection of SCAM (state controlled american media)
Biden recognized as Bo’s Bitch–ineffectual, quite possibly demented, certainly ineffectual.

WE HAVE THE ENERGY. WE SENSE THE BIG WIN. WE REFUSE TO HEED THE VILE DECEITS AND PANDERINGS OF BO’S HO’S.

NO “this race is too close to call”. NO, “the polls show Romney and Ryan behind by xx points.”

THE TRUTH IS, WE ARE WINNING NOW, HERE AND NOW.

Well said. And yes we are onto it. Mostly because the left and the corrupted media are essentially going after us too. It has to stop.

    caseym54 in reply to Tamminator. | August 19, 2012 at 3:14 am

Thankfully, most seniors have been around the block and aren’t as easily fooled as younger people are.

And I suspect they don’t much care for being lied to so transparently. The age breakdowns in upcoming polls should be interesting, at least those polls that aren’t stacked with extra Democrats.

This has become a standard comment when discussing backgrounds, but I will make it anyway: In two days we will know more about Ryan’s mother than we know about Obama.

I asked myself the same question earlier. They’ve already attacked Ryan’s and Romney’s dead fathers, so I’d guess before the weekend is over.

BannedbytheGuardian | August 18, 2012 at 10:53 pm

Florida gives Ryan a chance to wear short sleeved polo & thus show off his arms.

Oldies will like it that he comes down & visits. -so gains a few votes.

But other than that it does perpetuate the problem of old yankees drowning out the south & taking over its future. So he loses a few votes.

Most of all -the arms. Many are thinking -wow he is a match for Michelle.

He must keep visiting the condo communities in Broward with his mother, shake hands, do the Medicare talk. Florida swings; Broward is the big Dem county, and those are the voters.

When the dirt (much of it blatantly false) Obama will claim to know nothing about it and will, in the strongest possible terms, claim that he does not endorse it (while simultaneously refusing to condemn it).

Ryan, while outraged, will try to stay focused on the issues, which the media will take as a clear sign that he is trying to shift the topic away from the damaging revelations. This will be touted as confirmation of their truth.

Polls will show that Ryan’s mother’s approval ratings are still high, though his will take a hit. Pundits will explain that this is proof that Romney was an idiot to choose such a damaged running mate.

In November, when Romney and Ryan win the election, the media will express deep disappointment in the American people for failing to vote the way the polls told them to – er, I mean the way the polls showed they truly felt.

Obviously, they’re all racists.

It’s already started at The Daily Beast, the LA Times and others I am sure. We really do need adults back in charge. I can’t stay on those sites for more than a few minutes. They’re like piranhas, and the writers on these sites provide the meat. Really makes you wonder how they will act when they’re defeated in November. These people are deranged and near maniacal in tone.

raven in reply to gasper. | August 19, 2012 at 12:54 am

I’m afraid having adults back in charge won’t change a thing as it relates to the media. In fact, it will make things worse. How will the media respond to a Romney victory? By accepting and atoning for their Faustian bargain with Obama? They’ll go after Romney and Ryan with an overcompensating ferocity, worse even than during Bush’s terms. The Left might even be relieved at having no more Obama to defend. They’ll see it only as a battle lost. The war will go on.

      D S Craft in reply to raven. | August 19, 2012 at 1:33 am

When Bush was President I often said to anybody who would listen that the Left didn’t hate George W. Bush. The Left didn’t even know who George Bush was. Bush was just a name and a face that was in the way. You could remove George Bush and replace him with anyone else and the Left would hate that person with equal fervor but for different reasons. It’s all about power. The Left *hates* anybody who stands in their way and will viciously attack them as the worst person in the world. They’ve proven me right.

The only way to have “adults in charge” will be to terminate EVERYONE who is currently employed in a government job…and then bar EVERY DAMN ONE of them from ever working in government ever again.

“Really makes you wonder how they will act when they’re defeated in November.”

These are half-crazed libs. Losing in November puts them back where they are the most comfortable – on the outside, out of power, back to agitating against the establishment, etc. This they know how to do.

It is when their own kind are in power that they don’t know how to act.

Henry Hawkins | August 18, 2012 at 11:03 pm

If they do go after Ryan’s mother, they run a huge risk of disgusted backlash. That is precisely the sort of thing the coveted independents deplore, plus there will be plenty of center/lefties currently supporting Obama who will consider it the last straw. I’d hate it for Mrs. Ryan, who presumably is as tough as her youngins, but I hope they do go after her, thereby pounding another nail in the Obama presidency’s coffin.

DINORightMarie | August 18, 2012 at 11:21 pm

All over Twitter the lefties are making with the “Paul and his mommy” 2-year-old nah-nee-nah-nee-boo-boo BS.

So ready for November 6th!

Wonder what they have cooked up for Tampa. I would SO LOVE! for their rioting #Occupy idiot-logues to repeat Chicago 1968.

They just keep trying the SAME thing……and when they fail, they try it – again! Hmmmm…..seems there is a name for that…..starts with “i”…… /sarc

Spiny Norman in reply to DINORightMarie. | August 19, 2012 at 12:52 am

With a few notable exceptions (wits like Jim Treacher, Jules Crittenden and especially Iowahawk), Twitter’s sole redeeming feature has been to give Leftists, from Hollywood celebrities to left-wing politicians all over the English-speaking world, a high-profile forum where they can make complete fools of themselves in full view of the public without restraints imposed by PR men.

It’s illuminating, to say the least.

Henry Hawkins in reply to Spiny Norman. | August 19, 2012 at 1:24 pm

While the 1st Amendment allows their pernicious speech, I smile when others grimace at their ugliness. Twitter, like much of modern media, is quick and easy, which means it is also highly enabling of the impulsive, ill-thought out remark; that is, we get to see how they really feel and believe before they’ve had a chance to temper it.

For about ten years I debated on radio, stage, and podcasts against believing proponents of intelligent design, alien abductions, bigfoot, and all manner of pseudoscientific claptrap, mostly on invite from an org called CSICOP, now called CSI: Committee for Skeptical Inquiry. I quickly found that one of the easiest ways to win a debate was to simply let the other fellow speak his mind unhindered and uninterrupted, because the longer he’d go on, the crazier his words became to anyone with a lick of sense. Twitter especially allows this dynamic to occur on a global scale.

Let ’em talk. We win votes with their every expectoration of hate-filled spittle.

TrooperJohnSmith | August 18, 2012 at 11:32 pm

If the bottom-dwelling, scumbags in Obama’s campaign go after Mama Ryan, he could do worse than to get angry and threaten to kick Axelrod’s ass. Nobody likes David Axelrod. That’s because he looks like one of the pederasts that Chris Hanson routinely surprises on Dateline.

As I watch yet another presidential campaign unfold, it’s hard not to notice that the digging up dirt always comes from the democrats.

If this observation is correct, and if the anointed one is somehow re-elected, doesn’t that shine an unfavorable light on the dumbed down voting public?

Please don’t let this happen. I don’t want to spend the next four years watching what liberties we have left be ended by the left. I don’t want to live out the rest of my life as a hermit…

[…] PROFESSOR JACOBSON: How long before they go after Paul Ryan’s mom? “You know it’s going to happen.” […]

If they go after Paul Ryan’s mom … how long before Branco goes after ’em with his sketchpad?

I watched Ryan’s speech with his mom at the beginning. I wasn’t sold on Ryan that much(I’m in the ABO camp, didnt matter who Romney chose), I had sort of heard of Ryan from last year. But then I remembered him from the RationCare debate in 2010 when he basically eviserated Barry.

But I watched the rally today, and was very impressed with Ryan, maybe he can convince his sweet mom to come on some campaign events. I’m beginning to really like Ryan, there is something very honest with him, and I’m no longer a dem, but a registered independent, what I like about him is he explains actual numbers etc, loving the Romney whiteboard, maybe the 2 of them can campaign together with that whiteboard, they each seem to do better when they are together.

As for attacking Ryan’s sweet mom, every damn lefty MSM will receive backlash from hell they go after this sweet lady, if she receives “joe the plummer” treatment.

According to news reports Ryan’s mom owns a home in Lauderdale By the Sea and if this is her Broward County property record, the Bottom Dwelling Democrats will see that she pays taxes on it and has a Florida Homestead Exemption– like millions of other Floridians. http://www.bcpa.net/RecInfo.asp?URL_Folio=494307200130 Rather than defend Obama’s dismal record, they’ll try to attack Ryan’s Mom for what I don’t know. Her biggest crime is having a really smart son who stands up for his beliefs and principles.

theduchessofkitty | August 19, 2012 at 12:23 am

“How long before they go after Paul Ryan’s mom?”

To ask the question is to answer it.

theduchessofkitty | August 19, 2012 at 12:29 am

They will make sure she has no friends left. Or eve acquaintances.

They will go after her every record imaginable. Even her doctors.

They will destroy her life story, her reputation and her health. They will make sure that no child or grandchild of hers ever becomes “great” again. It will be more than “character assassination”: it will become so bad, that they might as well show up and sink the dagger into her – it will be that bad.

They will destroy her – and then blame her son for ever daring presenting her to the world. “Look what YOU MADE US DO!”

That alone will mark the difference between Paul Ryan and his enemies – the same as the difference between humans and animals: morals, or in the case of his enemies, the complete lack thereof.

BannedbytheGuardian | August 19, 2012 at 12:54 am

Sarah Palin’d s Mum & Dad are still thriving – though there was an attempt to portray Chuck as a paedophile enabler . In fact Chuck has a book about to be released.

Mrs Ryan is not a “sweet lady ‘ who cannot defend herself. She will be right on top of it – just as John McCain’s Mum was.

The Daily Telegraph’s DC office has already tried to go after Toby Ryan & had taken to phoning his wife at home. But what we learnt was that Toby Ryan was a Bain Equity exec also who branched out to form successful companies. Also we learnt that they live in an historic house in Wisconsin that is open for tours.

The more they dig up I think the better this Ryan family will look.

Saving VP Ryan !

Here’s a representative example of the types of attacks that have already begun on Ryan’s mom. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/anthony-badami/paul-ryans-emotional-appeal_b_1803414.html The Villages where Ryan campaigned this weekend is not as poor as George Zimmerman’s Sanford community but it has many modest homes. In any event you’re on a different planet altogether when you tour the homes of Obama’s favorite Florida fundraisers. See, for example, http://ifollosports.com/ifollo-blogs/jon-rapoport/vince-carter-hosts-obama-fundraiser-massive-mansion-photos-home

The biggest beef Huffington Post writers have with the Villages is that it’s home to many conservative Floridians–Glenn Beck used to do advertising for the Villages.

Everybody’s got a mom. Most of us would die for our mom. If the media goes after Mom, they risk any small credibility they have left. Ryan’s mom looks like a nice lady, like a nice Tea Party lady, so the media touches Mom at their own risk.

If they do, the media reveals that Obamacare is not good for Mom, and that tanks the program. This bunch is turning into the gang that couldn’t shoot straight, but I guess that fits, being Chicago, and all. Where’s Breslin when you need him?

    Rosalie in reply to vndk8r. | August 19, 2012 at 8:27 am

Well, my last name’s Breslin, but I’m pretty sure you don’t mean me. The media may not go after her, but maybe they’ll get others to do it. Brad Pitt’s mother wasn’t spared after she had the audacity to voice her opinion.

    Pablo in reply to vndk8r. | August 19, 2012 at 9:23 am

Everybody’s got a mom. Most of us would die for our mom.

Yup. But damned few of us would lie about her to suit our political purposes. Mostly, just the dirtbags would do that. Paul Ryan isn’t a dirtbag.

The possibility that Obama’s surrogates would go after Ryan’s mother hadn’t occurred to me until now, but I hope that they do it. I really hope that they do it. I think that it could have the effect of getting Romney/Ryan hundreds of thousands of currently-undecided voters, and also the effect of getting any folks who favored Romney/Ryan but weren’t sure of voting to get to the polls November 6 (assuming that anybody who favors Romney/Ryan wouldn’t already crawl over a mile of ground glass to vote for them; I certainly would).

Forgot about this last night. Remember how they savaged Brad Pitt’s mom over gay marriage.

Valerie Jarret has green lighted it but Obama is dithering on the Black Op’s strategy.. yeah, I went there.

He’ll cap this mom business from the Federal Register, IRS, EPA or the DOJ – #ChicagoValues

[…] Legal Insurrection Wonders how long it will be before the Left goes after Paul Ryan’s mom […]

Joe McGinniss is moving in next to Ryan’s mother. He will be looking through her windows with binoculars to see if she burns any toast.

Most likely the Romney and Ryan women know to expect the worst and can stand their ground. What’s almost inevitable now is that the Left will come after her, Obama will distance himself with the “can’t control the Super Pac” stuff and Steffy the Cutter will rush in with “we don’t really have a problem” with that. Once Soledad checks her sources, she might chime in.

Henry Hawkins in reply to gracepmc. | August 19, 2012 at 1:32 pm

Exactly. Of *course* Ryan knew what might be thrown at his mother for the crime of supporting her son, and given his rep for integrity, he certainly would have let her decide whether to participate or not.

It is a truism of American politics that if you involve your family directly in campaigning, they become fair game for the opposition. It is the nature of that opposition that will determine its value to the opposer. If it’s just mudslinging for the sake of it, Obama loses big time to the inevitable backlash.

If the left doesn’t go after her much, it’ll be because there’s nothing to go after, and because they’ve gotten wise to backlash potential. Then again, both Obama and Biden have shown propensity for going off-counsel and saying stupid things.

Those adds are already in the can.

As general construct you should not expose innocents to such as the Democrat slander machine. Once you appear in a political ad or shill for a candidate you are fair game. How many times have NDSWP operatives hidden behind supposedly sympathetic figures like fluffy animals, children, Sandra Fluke and Joe Soptic thinking it would inoculate them from the noxious message they are trying to convey. Once you claim exemption for one you have to claim exemption for all.

Look at the flap with Anne Romney earlier this year and Obama trying to insulate Moochelle from criticism even though she is an especially obnoxious surrogate for her husband.
